Whoever selected Party Police, thank you so much! From the first few notes of the song I was struck with melancholy and I was silently praying in my head "please let the rest of it be this good" and it was! Been listening to it for hours now. I'll try to 100% it tomorrow. Not too in love with the lyrics to the BHG song so only played it once.

Whew, that was jazzy. Missed one chord on the Winehouse song and couldn't be bothered to do it again

So..I had to sell my bass and can no longer compete in that category, unfortunately. I despise the sound of the bass emulator and don't really care for playing basslines with a pick on my guitar. Good luck every bass player! Thank you for the competition :)

Here are my final scores for the week. Girls just wanna have fun is not very fun for lead. Had some random misses in Real Gone too.

Decided to be cheeky and play the MC song too. Not too bad for a first attempt :D I'll try and improve it on Saturday, cause 100% feels almost doable

Got this week's bass. Hopefully will have time for guitar on Saturday! Real Gone should definitely not be a 6. It took me a few days and dozens of tries to get R U Mine at 100% while this one took only a few retries for a missed note here and there. I'd even say it's an Intermediate song.

Only had time to play each song once, unfortunately :( Hope to do better next week

Slowly slowly getting there... Glad to see some competition in advanced bass! Also I'm with Rodman on this one. This was my first fingerpicked attempt and it's already better than all my picked ones. Edit: got a 0.3% improvement

Not enjoying this song so much. Too aggressive for my liking. That middle bit came out of nowhere the first time! Edit: third time went a little better

I feel your pain. In the bass part of spectre I had to play the slides with a very light touch, otherwise the game would count them as misses. It actually puzzled me cause I was getting them right in the beginning but then got angry cause I'd miss notes on the following bit and I subconsciously started playing harder and suddenly the slides weren't registered anymore either. I thought the game wasn't hearing them properly so I started playing even harder and you see where this is going. I guess tl dr is keep calm and a light touch

First run on adv bass. I don't know how I feel about this one. It seems easy to achieve close to 100% but the song is so long and combined with the D standard tuning makes me think I won't practice this one a lot. Definitely not as much as R U Mine haha. If I manage to get 99.5% can I compete on MC the same week?. That one sounds cooler and the tuning is only Eb.

Oh, is that number of times you played a song in score attack? Does that count all the times you restart when you miss a note halfway through? Cause I don't think it does hahahaha
