Took me forever to get up to speed on one section in the song, spent the last few days trying to get from 90% to 100% speed, only just managed it this evening and even then it was a bit of a fluke. Still got a few hours in the morning though :)

I think my hand's going to fall off after putting in quite a lot of time playing this week :) Here's the results of my efforts. Was quite keen to hear more Ghost after we played Cirice a few weeks back, however I didn't like this song at all on first listen, but it's a blast to play and it's grown on me quite a bit ! Oh yeah, Metallica ! Great song, and there's a little bit of everything technique wise in there. Unfortunately my bass won't tune down to B so I'll have to skip that. Been without internet since Sunday morning, but now it's finally fixed ! Congrats on the new guitar ! I know a few people who've ordered from gear4music without issue, so you should be fine. As for amps, I'm no expert, but I've been thinking about getting a practice amp for home use. I'm currently leaning towards the Blackstar ID Core 10 - 2x 3inch 5w speakers, decent selection of tones and effects, USB connection with software to edit presets and record direct to PC and it's available for around €120. Plenty of reviews around online, give it a google.

A new guitar will likely be easier to play than your current one, also it can be a great motivator to practice more ! You don't have to spend that much these days to get a great instrument, get yourself down to your local guitar shop and try out a bunch of different guitars and see what feels good, that's the only way you'll know if it's worth the extra investment. Took delivery of my first ever bass guitar today ! Nothing fancy, just a cheap and cheerful short scale p bass from Thomann. I think it rates higher than a 2 for difficulty though. Can a mod take a look at my place in the Championship please ? I was going Freebird for a few weeks, but now that I have more time to play I'll rejoin my class - I know I'm already listed in MC Rhythm, but can't find my name anywhere in the lead section. Not sure if I'm still eligible for MC lead or if I've been downgraded to Advanced ?
