  1. But the key was accepted, and Rocksmith is showing in your Steam Library? But you have half the battle done (if the key was accepted) and know the answer
  2. If you do not own RS1 you are out of luck. If you do own RS1 you can purchase the import tool on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/sub/32387/ Be advised that there are 5 songs from RS1 that will not import over due to licensing. Unfortunately one of those is the song you named. When you logged in the past couple of days there should have been an agreement that you had to agree in order to continue to this site. In doing so you agreed that you did read that, and one of this points on that page, which are contained in the FAQ and Guideline links above for you to reference, those 5 songs are off limits to being converted to CDLC.
  3. It would be great once @ aquavelva23 and @ James7777 does receive their copies to reply back with success or failure to let us know, but I am fairly certain it will still work. I hope you read all of the above posts in this thread. From there, read this thread this thread for more dialog; https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/71000-bad-time-to-try-rocksmith-no-pc-version-try-game-version-instead-what-going-on/ and this one where the this user had success: https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/70237-new-to-customsforge-rocksmith-2014-no-longer-available-on-steam-would-hard-copy-for-pc-solve-my-dilemma-of-being-able-to-play-dlc/ Be fore warned that any purchase that you make is on you and your choice. I say this disclaimer again as I do not know if they will stop honoring store front keys. Buying from somewhere that will allow a refund would be a smart idea. However that said, I think it won't be until the keys are exhausted from circulation.
  4. I hope a lot of things. I hope the situation is better remedied, and you are able to return before my time comes to depart. I wish not to parlay into the subject matter myself at the moment as I am holding my tongue. I hope that if not, our paths do cross again. You seem like a very smart, intelligent young man, I know you will do great in all that you do, and I hope nothing but the best for you. Do well, be well, and Happy Trails.
  5. What specifically are you trying to install? I am assuming the enabler?
  6. I made mention of this in another thread. I pointed out a particular game that is still available after almost 20 years. impossible? no. If the game producer/developer no longer wishes it to be on Steam, it is that easy for them to remove it from Steam. I do not wish to make a panic by stating so, but it is the truth. However, you are correct, the likely hood of it being removed is, as you are implying, very unlikely. As I said in a different thread, there are songs with 8 years or more left before the licenses expire. Likely hood of pulling the game, when they paid for licenses is very very unlikely, but as I have said before, I have seen dumber things before. There are very few absolutes in life, even less in the realm of technology.
  7. Ya make me wanna slap my own forehead. Sorry. Anyhoo. Yep, CD/DVD pretty much worthless. No worries though, here is why. Once you make your Steam account, link the CD/DVD key to that Steam account, it is yours fo evea. Or until Ubi pulls it from Steam. This means you can re-download it, AND install it on any pc YOU own. That means, your pc dies, your laptop dies, it doesn't work on this laptop and you buy another bigger better laptop, you can install it on there as well. If it eases your mind at all, I currently have the same Rocksmith installation on 2 different towers, and a laptop. Right now. You do not need the DVD to do that. You download it directly from Steam. Also, that is the point of the Steam/Rocksmith cloud. This means you play on one tower, but tomorrow you travel somewhere, log into Rocksmith, the cloud will sync to the cloud so all your progress matches on the machines, as long as you don't do something silly to mess up the cloud or progress. Now for how long Ubi keeps it in Steam is anyone's guess, and I can not alleviate that concern. It should be for a long time to come. Someone else asked the same thing as you in another thread "what if my machine/laptop dies, what if something happens...". What this means, what I am trying to say, at some point in the far distant future, Windows 11 will get replaced. As will Windows 12. And Windows 13. Will Rocksmith still work with that future Operating System? Not likely. Will Ubi make updates so that it will? That is anyones guess. I do not have answers for that other than, you will need to make plans if you want to keep playing this version of Rocksmith 20 years from now. Will the Earth still be inhabitable in 20 years? Will there be a colony on Mars in 20 years? Will anyone have figured out how many angels fit on a pin? Anyone's guess.
  8. You have to do what is right by you, and stick to your principals. You do you and what is right, correct, and moral by you. Missed having you and your big ole brain around, but you have to do you. If you don't, then you have nothing.
  9. I wanted to hold off on my suggestions until I got a better list of improvements, but this guy gets it. It is so annoying about the section and not the notes needed to riff repeat. All too often, there is a huge space in bass sections that are breaks, or long single held notes before the start of the section needed, but it only contains a small portion of the "tricky section". Another, A way to review. Sure, if you are using Riff Repeater, you can play it again another time to see what notes where missed, but if you are just doing a play through, there is no easy way to review or see what was scored as wrong. To add to that is some way to say, "why it was wrong". Fret too high, fret too low, (something dumb like that or wrong string) but also, the bends. Why was the bend or slide not scored or registered as correct. Not bent far enough? Over bent? slide too soon? too late? not far enough? all frustrating parts that often take repeated guesses for a beginner.
  10. Yes. Are you being prudent to be cautious? YES. Is it a virus? NO. This has been asked and answered several, several times already. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/71023-cdlc-enabler-of-23-november-2023-flags-as-virus/ https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014-remastered-updated-for-2023/page/40/#comment-386351 On the second one, go back even further a couple of posts to start your "research" and enlightenment, starting with SandyClawz's posts. However the crucial portion is that post, LovroM8's post one explanation on why and how the virus alert is triggered. He a Developer, and crucial writer of both the .dll and enabler.
  11. You are welcome, glad you finally got it to work.
  12. There are a couple different ways. One is there is a list floating around that has ALL Steam app id's. My opinion, and solely my opinion, Find the oDLC that you have or are going to buy. IF it is one that you are going to purchase, the app id / song id is the end of the url. The other is to use a search engine, and do a search for the no longer listed song that you have, pull it up in the browser, and again it will be in the the url. i.e. https://store.steampowered.com/app/369783/Rocksmith_2014__Queen__Another_One_Bites_the_Dust/ 369783 is the song ID for Queen, Another One Bites the Dust. My personal experience is that DuckDuckGo works better for pulling delisted songs than Google. Your experience may differ. Edit: https://steamdb.info/apps/ but Man, is it a long list to sort through.
  13. No. It just "borrows" the Song ID to make the cDLC play. (Has to be the Song/app ID of a legally owned / downloaded DLC). All the cDLC and that original DLC will share that ID. I am not sure if this is the current version, It would take me longer to look, but I believe it is: https://github.com/glebb/rocksmithconvert/releases/download/2.2.0/RSConvert_GUI-2.2.zip
  14. Did you use the RSConvert utility to change the cDLC songs appID/Song ID to the appID/Song ID of one of the DLCs that you already own?
  15. the current one is supposed to be one in all. 32 thread / no cherub rock
  16. Doesn't mean it is, but more than likely. Rocksmith 2014 for whatever reason and 32 threads do not get along. The current .dll or the one specifically for the 32 threads (since you have Cherub Rock) should work in this case. I am not promising anything as I personally do not have a 32 thread cpu yet, but as from what I have read it will. I have also read that if you are savvy and competent, and have the ability in the bios to limit threads, or setting the AFFINITY of the "steam.exe process" in the task manager to a total of fewer than 32 cores/threads will fix the issue. I have seen other work arounds, but hey, if the .dll alone fixes why mess with that other junk?
  17. Thought it was covered in the/your video as well but as I didn't see he that had, I mentioned it in my last post.
  18. I hear you, and I agree with I think everything that you said. Keep in mind, I am just a user like you, and my voice means pretty much nothing. However with that in mind: The .dll was blocked by Google. There is very little CF can do about it at the moment, other than the appeal that the Admins have appealed directly to Google. Most of the Hosting services also do not like it (the .dll). Including MediaFire. The reason for the enabler is the common person is, well, not to bad mouth or knock anyone, but, well, pretty um, well. dumb. Me included. If I am dumb, and an average person, well, imagine those below us. The goal is that the .dll is placed in the proper place. In doing this, the enabler looks like a virus the way it was compiled. The Dev that wrote it discussed it some in the "how to use cdlc" thread, you can read it there.
  19. I already saw the folders. There is no date next to them, that is why I asked. Did you use the RSConvert utility to change the cDLC songs appID/Song ID to the appID/Song ID of one of the DLCs that you already own?
  20. And it is actually in my post, not Nick's, but Nick is the one that is actually providing it.
  21. If you are still unable to download the enabler, scroll back on page 45 and find the link that Nick Beat provided to the .dll and place that in the appropriate folder. Again, look at those posts on that page for where that is.
  22. No. you shouldn't be out of luck. There should be a way with each browser to make an exclusion to allow it. I am able to download it on both FireFox and Brave.
  23. This is not the place for requests. Requests now go here: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/wishlist
