  1. No, it was not charted here. It is delisted and unavailable for purchase. No it can't be charted. It was delisted on Jan 17th of this year (2022). 5 Foo Fighters songs delist tomorrow https://theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-2014-setlist/rocksmith-dlc/
  2. Please see this Staff Member's Post. Please read all of it so you do not lose your ability to download anything else from the 61,000 songs available here. Let's not ruin the site so the rest of us can not download or create songs. This has been covered multiple times in this thread alone. Riff Repeater has a list of all DLC that is or was available so you can see what will no longer be available in near future. https://theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-2014-setlist/rocksmith-dlc/
  3. I have held off on saying something on a couple of these threads for not going to be able to say this eloquently enough. First and most importantly EVERYONE learns differently and has different natural levels of what and how fast they can learn. If someone can be self taught, that is learn the guitar by themself without formal lessons; Eddie Van Halen Jimi Hendrix Eric Clapton B.B. King John Frusciante Prince, the list goes on, as well as those that self taught themself(ves) Piano, or any instrument; There is no reason one can not use Rocksmith to learn to play Guitar /Bass. A huge problem is that Rocksmith touted and hyped itself not as a just a game, but "The Fastest Way To Learn Guitar". Another problem is the feed back the game gives you. Solely a "Miss" does not explain why or what was wrong with what was played. That is one aspect of having an instructor. Just one aspect. I have seen many a twitch streamer / youtuber playing along that has zero concept of rhythm or timing. Something tabs lack over sheet music. The players listed above and any other self taught undoubtedly once they learned they absorbed much more from being around other musicians. They also have something that most of us do not have, drive to and talent to figure stuff out by ear. I was in the military for many years, and such an environment does not provide ample time to pick up the instrument and practice, especially when you are in the field for 30 days, or deployed. When I was a youth, I lacked the drive and focus to apply myself. Having the game with with goals in mind as Shroud has said, applying yourself, there is no reason why someone can not use this game as a tool to learn the instrument. Other stuff will have to be brought in from outside, having the drive and motivation to self taught music theory and adding to what the game provides as a platform a foundation to actually practice. This does not mean that this can replicate what a living teach can provide with feed back and correction with a good instructors wealth of knowledge or provide what is lacking in a student's repository. People today have something that those listed above do not when they were learning. The wealth of knowledge (which actually can be very overwhelming to try and sift through) which is available on the webs / the information super highway is astounding. Those before us could not go to youtube and find an instructor breaking down Snow - Hey Ho. A good living breathing instructor can and does provide a student with direction. Each has a merit on its own, and how the individual uses either will determine the value of the methods used. A student that doesn't pick up the instrument it matters not what learning is provided. In regards to HIppy22's original question, learning vs sight reading, I have personally found mindlessly playing along with the song does not, is not conducive to building mental memory as well as it does muscle memory. Actually memorizing the song is a mental effort, does not matter if you use riff repeater, or using master mode, you have to make an ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT of using memory skills to memorize a song. This does not mean you can not use the game for with it in riff repeater mode or master mode. They are great tools for doing so. Repeated play throughs are said to be the building blocks, but You actually have to engage your memory skills to do so.
  4. I have bad news for you. "... Discussion of how to obtain delisted oDLC runs afoul of our anti-piracy rules. Discussing it on the forums or the Discord may lead to immediate suspension of your access to the forums/Ignition/Discord server for an indefinite period of time. ..." If you want it bad enough, you are going to have to chart it yourself for your own private use. I know the pain, and annoyance, I myself was not aware that they were going to be delisted. RS1 does / didn't use p.parsc files. As stated above discussion on it is considered piracy. Another Forum Member, Smitty I believe, also has a great suggestion of using Youtube videos to follow along with. Although you will not get any feed back. I suggest going to Riff Repeater and viewing songs that will be delisted soon, and acquiring songs that you like before they are delisted. (Don't wait for a Steam sale. The odds are not in your favor.)
  5. If i remember correctly, hopefully I am; go into control panel, sound, select your speakers or whatever you're using as speakers, properties, advanced tab, make sure 16 48000HZ (DVD Quality) is selected, there should also be 2 boxes, Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device (and) Give exclusive mode applications priority. make sure both are checked. again, I hope I am remembering correctly.
  6. Here is a list provided by Riff Repeater to have a look at what is soon to be Delisted to get a look ahead at what will no longer be available for the foreseeable future. I.E. in December 3 packs / Artists / Bands will be removed from the Steam Store; Pantera, Foo Fighters, and Nickelback: https://theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-2014-setlist/rocksmith-dlc/
  7. The above is not my post to make clear (I am not ZagatoZee), I am not Admin, I am just providing to give further context and understanding.
  8. eh, don't thank me, thank James. I wanted that one for a while. But, you are welcome.
  9. JamesPrestonUK provided a link to that back in July: Posted July 23 https://www.dropbox.com/sh/73lyyonv6vchxpr/AACiI3o4OVbLo_xLYLNWvw6la?dl=0
  10. The good news is that this is already done. I am assuming will be not as good news that it is a DLC by Ubi available in the Steam Store. Song pack III (song packs one and two:"Folsom Prison Blues", “Jackson”, “Big River”, “Hey Porter”, "Give My Love to Rose", "I Walk the Line", “Ring of Fire”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, “Get Rhythm”, and "Cry! Cry! Cry!") https://store.steampowered.com/app/637805/Rocksmith_2014_Edition__Remastered__Johnny_Cash_Song_Pack_III/ Song pack II ("I Walk the Line", “Ring of Fire”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, “Get Rhythm”, and "Cry! Cry! Cry!") https://store.steampowered.com/app/637812/Rocksmith_2014_Edition__Remastered__Johnny_Cash_Song_Pack_II/ and naturally just the song: https://store.steampowered.com/app/637815/Rocksmith_2014_Edition__Remastered__Johnny_Cash__Sunday_Mornin_Comin_Down/ therefore currently unavailable to be done as a CDLC.
  11. Smitty already replied showing 3 pages of Cult, however the specific songs you requested are: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/63825 and https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/63556 I will throw in the other ever popular She Sells Sanctuary for you as well. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/26361
  12. This topic of delisted songs has been covered and addressed several times already by moderators:
  13. This has already been covered several times. Delisted songs can not be uploaded as CDLC on this site.
  14. Already available as official DLC: https://store.steampowered.com/app/509740/Rocksmith_2014_Edition__Remastered__Eve_6__Inside_Out/
  15. I should have added 3 weeks ago, an alternative version: Rocksmith® 2014 Edition – Remastered – Trans-Siberian Orchestra - “A Mad Russian’s Christmas” https://store.steampowered.com/app/637791/Rocksmith_2014_Edition__Remastered__TransSiberian_Orchestra__A_Mad_Russians_Christmas/ Any of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra songs are fun. https://store.steampowered.com/app/637787/Rocksmith_2014_Edition__Remastered__TransSiberian_Orchestra_Song_Pack/
  16. https://store.steampowered.com/app/390389/Rocksmith_2014__Bachsmith_II/ https://store.playstation.com/en-ca/product/UP0001-CUSA00692_00-RS002PACK0000108 It is still in the store, still available.
  17. This is going to sound harsh. It isn't meant to be, it is just the reality. (Keep in mind I am NOT a moderator here. I'm just telling you the way it is) There are a few songs that delisted before I knew that they were going to be and haven't gotten them myself so I know the annoyance; i.e. Free BIrd, and More Than a Feeling. This song was one I wavered on and personally ended up not purchasing. I can't afford to purchase every song. The reality is that you will have to learn to chart it yourself. Keep in mind if you do chart it for your own use, you will not be permitted to upload it here per current and past site rules.
  18. ShinyDitto12 charted a version of death blooms; https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/16813 I'm not sure what you are meaning by updated?
  19. I am no expert on this, someone else with greater knowledge probably will be of more help, however until help does arrive and assuming that you have probably already done this; First I would check to see if within Steam, those particular songs / packs are enabled. Before doing that maybe see if the .psarc files are already actually in your dlc folder (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014\dlc). If they are already in that folder, they maybe damaged. Deleting Kryptonite and the Blink 182 files and reinstalling them via Steam won't hurt anything. Side note and unrelated, adjusting the difficulty on Kryptonite always crashes Rocksmith on my machine.
  20. What version? I am assuming you mean Zenithkicker's 2014 version as the more recent version from SimpxShadow does not have bass. I just tried it, it works for me. Have you tried the guitar parts just to see if it loads? Have you tried any other CDLC? It is more that likely because of the update that happened on Friday which nerfed / nullified the D3Dx942 DLL and makes the game no longer able to use CDLC. You will have to use the beta version, by following ColdRampage's instruction he provided in this thread, providing info from reddit.
  21. I was wondering this [you'll have to run steam and rocksmith with no internet connection.] and make a dedicated 'puter to just run rocksmithsans updates and internet connection. Kind of what Jay was saying above your reply. Definitely not elegant at all. I was figuring that was going to happen eventually, but doesn't mean I like it at all. So I will have to experiment later, I have copies of the un-updated on a cloned drive I will have to check and see if I can use those to over write.
  22. This. I, We, paid for this game that we have been able to use CDLC which was "allowed" for how long. People say this, but rarely stick with it. I am sticking to it, I will not spend another penny on Ubisoft again. As much as I love this game, As much as it encourages me to pick up my guitars or basses and actually practice, I will never spend another penny, this game has been a pain to get running and keep running from the start. I am no way paying for a subscription. No way.
  23. Stupid "Q", but how do you do the back up, how did you restore it to that back up? do you have to restore it, will you have to restore to the back up after it auto updates on start?
  24. I wish I would have seen this earlier. I ended up like other people uninstalling and reinstalling several times to include uninstalling steam altogether, uninstalling several other games with it for no reason. I switched to an old pc before midnight so i could continue my current log in streak, which worked as a temp fix. when trying to get the dll to work, I even tried the DLL installer. When attempting to using it, the installer refused to install the DLL giving me a message and saying that my legit game I've had since 2014 was a pirated copy, which further suggests to me this was an intentional break of CDLC by Ubisoft.
