I don't have a good strong answer for you. One option at the moment is to look at youtube and use a youtube video to play along with as another member suggested. I can suggest that you learn to chart and chart the song(s) on your own for YOUR OWN USE as it can not be uploaded here, nor shared in any form. In another thread there was another suggestion by a Moderator, I have no experience with such items, and as he said, I don't condone that method nor would I trust them: Again, as said before discussion on how to obtain them other wise will surely bring our time on this forum to a quick end. And for myself, I would rather stay a member of this community.

I'm not sure care would be the correct word for me, or those of us that do already have Cherub Rock. It does not effect us or the creation of CDLCs. What or whom it does pertain to are those that after November join and the guides still say "must have Cherub Rock" to use the CDLCs. There will be an influx of those like the above poster who have no means of obtaining that ID number and have to do it the difficult way like the above poster and you already do.

In about 8 months it will be more of an issue more often as Cherub Rock is set to de-list Oct 22, 2023 according to Riff Repeater's info

He just recently added a how to using DLC Builder to his guide: I will also suggest to use DLC builder, as certain things are much much simpler, and easier to get done, with less errors than Rocksmith ToolKit. I am not bagging on the Toolkit, but I got nothing but errors when I started my first chart couple years ago. I just gave up after them not working. Recently I attempted again with [toolkit] and again errors. I am not saying it is idiot proof, The first laptop I tried it on, adding a preview didn't work as well as something else although the chart worked. I went to add lyrics to my first chart that turned out ok (using DLC Builder) and it completely messed up the DD. Life called me away to concentrate on other things at them moment for me to say why and what I did wrong, and get back to trying to make a couple charts. My point was though all though not idiot proof, It is really much simpler to use (for me).

It is not fair to UBI who will have droves of people just waiting for songs to expire, nor fair to the creators of this site who will get sued into oblivion, or fair to the chart creator or the requestor who will be banned for attempting to pirate. Those songs were available for 10 years before they delisted. This has been asked and answered a plethora times and songs already. Please read in its entirety:

yep. You need the new .dll, and remove the old one (won't work with both). In September they did an update that crashed the game that coincided with the release of rocksmith -, it nerfed the old .dll. If you search around you will see a bunch about it, had quite a few of us upset. no one could use the game for a while. Riff Repeater compiled a list of DLC. The rest of the original Rocksmith1/ Rocksmith 2011, however you wish to call it will delist by/in May of this year, then Rocksmith 2014 songs will start to delist approaching October (Oct/10/2023) this year, to include Cherub Rock. Cure song pack ("Lovesong" "Just like Heaven" "The End of the World") will be unavailable after this coming Sunday, March 19th. Do you have RS1 installed? you don't need it installed for the DLC to work in RS2014. (However) If RS1 is installed or was installed, make sure in the Steam DLC library that the DLC are check marked. You can uncheck them, re-check mark them and try to force them to re-download. This doesn't always work but usually does. Some times the rs1compatibilitydlc psarc becomes corrupted. That is rare, but it happens. If RS1 is not installed, or re-check marking the RS1 DLC boxes does not force a DL through the Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting "Steam > Settings" from the top left client menu. In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab and select "Clear Download Cache" button at the bottom. Then select "OK" to confirm and acknowledge that you'll probably need to log in to Steam again. again, through the Steam Library, use Verify Integrity of Game Files on RS2014. (right mouse click RS2014 in library list, properties, local files, Verify Integrity of Game Files button.) If that does not work, move the rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc file to another location, or delete it, and then use Verify Integrity of Game Files on RS2014 again. It will re-install the rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc file.

are you sure that the cdlc is being put into the DLC folder? I know dumb and a superficial response, but eh, need to cover all bases, because as you already stated the older songs you used work, so that rules out the .dll. You stated you checked filters, so rules that out as well.

Cherub Rock needs to be downloaded and in the game as cdlcs are supposed to use that song ID. Everything in this video is elementary, and listed in the how to guides on this site, and already covered in above thread. The author's problem is that the Cherub Rock song is not showing in game, therefore not allowing the author to play Cdlcs

I did a lot of research last night. I am not sure any of this is going to work. What appears to be happening, and I am not certain about this, is that your game lost the license info and are not recieving the license info from UBI. Seems to have been a problem for a few users a few years ago, and other times in the past. Usually mac users, but has happened to windows users as well. (based on accounts around the web.) remove the D3DX9_42.dll. try closing steam and re-running it and rocksmith as admin. make sure you are logged into your ubi account in rocksmith. Try running rocksmith from the library, using the green button. Again, making sure you are logged into your ubi account, to receive the license info from ubi. again, this is based on research, not personal knowledge.
