  1. Not sure I'll get a score much better than this until I figure out why note recognition is not working for me on the main riff...sounds good and feels like I'm playing it right but RS keeps dinging me for like 1 or 2 missed notes most of the time. Still a great song and fun to play.
  2. Week 409 is over - congrats to the winners! Week 410 is now fully up and running.
  3. Some playtest scores...seems I didn't save my scores from You're Beautiful or Evidence: This one is a lot of fun to play and rather unique: This is the hand destroyer but much love and respect to both Stevie Wonder and Nathan Watts (the bassist on this recording):
  4. Thanks! Yes you're right, not sure how I got the difficulties switched on As but fortunately it won't affect the tierings this week. I will go ahead and update those and Evidence difficulties in the OP.
  5. OP updated to reflect the week 409 winners - congrats to all! @ Hyphema Yes I originally rated it a 9 difficulty for the reason you mentioned - the last 2-3 minutes of the song my hands were just dead. Either way it's worthy of Masterclass.
  6. I'm posting the new week early for personal schedule reasons but I won't finalize Week 409 winners until tonight US time. This week is a theme week as each song on the main paths/difficulties is from a different decade representing 50 years of music history (1970s-2010s). A good mix of genres as well, with soul/r&b, new wave, alternative, pop, and hard rock/metal all represented. Note: As by Stevie Wonder is a real endurance test - good luck!

  8. Hi All - I will be posting the new week shortly as I won't have access to my laptop until evening US time. I'll just post the new songs for now and update the week 409 winners tonight - so you have some extra time to get your scores in. Good luck!
  9. Cool week, thanks @ Rodman Can we clarify the bass difficulty levels though? I thought we had changed so that 1-4 was beginner, 5-6 intermediate, 7-8 advanced, 9 masterclass, but recently there have been several weeks with difficulty 6 tracks as advanced and now we also have a 3.5 as intermediate.
  10. Still traveling so not much time to practice or compete, but I had a bit of time the last two days: Great song...I think it might be a bit higher than 3 difficulty but I found it to be easy and very satisfying to play once I started using just my fretting index finger and sliding up and down the fretboard: This was fine...not a big fan of the vocals but it's reasonably fun to play: One of the better Slipknot songs IMO, and it's a fun challenge - I think the fast strumming parts should push it to a 7+ difficulty overall:
  11. I won't have internet access the rest of the week so these first tries will have to do: Pretty fun song but definitely not advanced level IMO - I would probably rate it a 5 or 5.5, so solidly Intermediate: This one was honestly a disappointment for a Maiden track...the song is okay but it's several minutes too long and the bass part is very unimaginative and actually boring for like 2/3 of the song, while the rest is tricky but not very fun to play IMO:
  12. My scores to this point...not sure if I'll have a chance to improve them before the new week is posted
  13. Sorry about the link mixup, all - I'll fix it in the OP. And yes, 21st Century Gentleman is well worth playing on bass as well. I'll put the bass part in our "spare arrangements" tab on the selection list so it can be used properly in a future championship.
  14. A couple notes: First, this week is meant to highlight the charting efforts of our organizers. So every song this week was charted by one of us. Second, we talked about occasionally doing a special category for a song/album that is too long to include in a regular category but isn't necessarily a true God of Guitar/Rhythm/Bass difficulty. This week was a great chance to try that out on @ Mikson 's epic charting effort, Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts I - IX. Maybe we'll do more of these in the future. Let us know what you think. Enjoy and as usual please let us know if you have feedback on the difficulties (and in this case, the charts).
  15. You didn't win but I added your score to the leaderboard
  16. New week is up! Excited to finally win a week at Advanced level

  18. Two hour warning until the next week is posted!
  19. Good runs so far this week! A couple phantom missed notes, oh well, fun song: First time I've nailed a 6+ difficulty on first run: Second try this week...I'm getting it down: And this...was quite fun actually:
  20. Nice week, thanks @ Mikson ! I Put a Spell On You is a fun challenge on bass, really looking forward to practicing it...
  21. Improvement: And this is just a weird chart...feels unintuitive to play:
  22. I would love to see Obscured if you are so inclined...bass and lead are both gorgeous. But whatever you do will be fantastic I'm sure.
  23. A couple of first tries on Int/Adv...I did play the Grease song (98%) but forgot to snap a screenshot, oh well:
  24. Last attempt, this time on Score Attack - not good enough but respect to Geezer Butler and those who scored 95%+:
