  1. Wasn't able to get a chance to play last weeks stuff til today, so:
  2. Um I'mma just leave this here and never play it again. XD Love SP, though my note recognition is really bad with this one. And I just have to compliment the picker for this Judas Priest song. It is right up my alley and fun to play, even though I can't quite get some of the rhythms on the first couple runs. Thanks!
  3. Re P!nk. Yeah the A5 means you don't play the B and the e string anyway. There's no open chords in the whole song, and near the end they start using the 577 -466 etc. positions anyway. I find the transposition stuff matters most for bassists, where it's usually Guitarists doing the whole chart (and tbf we're used to running up and down the neck so we keep fingers on the same strings for power chords) and many charts have Bass sliding their hand much more than is really necessary since they're just playing one note. As near as I can tell intonation-wise, Rocksmith will not care. Open strings always sound different (slightly) from fretted strings, and you'll find the same between, say a 10,12,12 and a -,5,7,7 power chord. I happen to enjoy the sounds that come from a longer-string (so open A vs barred A), so I'd use that where I can (e.g. Yellowcard's Always Summer is technically easier to play 577 -688 -799, but it's charted as open A5 (-022). Since we're looking at it anyway, the 2nd half of the main riff doubles up the 9th fret (C#/Db) before the dip when the Song clearly has it after the dip. e B G D 7 A 9 7 9 9 7 E 9 9 7 9 9 7 2
  4. Alrighty got another chance to play a bit so here's some updates: BEG Lead: and ADV Rhythm:
  5. Alright, got the newer Sex On Fire track. Dunno why the art isn't showing here. Looks fine in the normal track listing. And a slight improvement to Beginner Lead, not surprising given how Rhythmy that track is and that i've played it a lot over the years.
  6. Alrighty, Advanced Rhythm is... Well there's just so many repeated notes it's hard to NOT get 90+% despite really not nailing a lot of the rhythms. Also then the Beginner Lead: Aaaannd the INT Rhythm stuff: Hrm, I know I did Smooth Criminal Rhythm, but apparently I only have the SS from Lead (which is basically the same except for a small g-string bit near the end).
  7. Rhythm Stuff first: Aaaand Vektor is way above my comfort level. Speaking of: Sorry Bassists if I noted it as easier than it really is. Lead for CPM
  8. Alrighty. There's my 100% Beg Lead for Pink. Hoping to get back to Oathsworn cause that was a damn fun song. Bath Salts also a lot of fun, albeit I'm still stuck in 80% range.
  9. It's okay I moved up. Can't really compete but at least it'll get me attempting the ADV Rhythm more frequently. :D
  10. Yeah I really don't understand what the issue is with Adele track. I switched pickups to the bridge, I tried in all positions. I even tried my special "ALL THE PICKUPS" option. I tried playing with a lighter palm mute, with No palm mute, alternate picking, only upstrokes, only downstrokes, keeping my pick tight and perpendicular to the guitar so it thwacks the hell out of the strings on the way by instead of reasonably strumming. It just randomly doesn't register one or two in a bunch, and it is so not a complicated rhythm. 5 more full playthroughs and 10 mins of Riff Repeater and it's still not registering any differently. I will conquer this problem if it's the last thing I do. EDIT: If I just play twice to four times as many notes it registers much better - playing sixteenth notes throughout the muted powerchords bumped the score to 95% with 150 streak. I tried turning down audio other than the guitar and playing super early seems to also work more often than playing in proper time, I just have to remember to get back on the 'visual beat' for the other chords and the mini-solo. The issue must be connected to my guitar's pickups/wiring and some kind of delay between my hearing what I'm playing and the game registering it as the notes. Sounds perfectly fine to me, but I have noticed the occasional lack of sustain at higher frequencies which may have to do with Rocksmith's Gain adjustments. Bumped that up majorly also (either calibrate at 80% of your volume or just play softly) and that had a positive effect on the inverted power chords 4-3-1 and 6-5-3 registering. On the plus side, couple more tries with the Arctic Monkeys and i'm up to 99%, so there's that.
  11. Love dem monkeys. Going to have to try to push it to 100. I dunno if the timing's off on the Adele track, but I can't get the palm mutes to register when I play in time - even if I don't palm mute it (which usually works). I tried doing sixteenth notes (twice as often for most) and that seemed to register okay, but sounds terrible, so I can't be arsed to keep it up .
  12. I guess I forgot to ss my beg lead. Gotta work on this one more, but nice song. @@Dazz, I mostly just open the screenshot in Steam and then use ShareX or something similar to screenshot directly to the Web. It's a convoluted process to find the actual IMG link that Steam stores it as that's forum friendly, so I stopped bothering. Lots of people just post links to the screenshot url that steam gives though, so no worries.
  13. INT Rhythm is below - lots of trouble with that descending power chord set at s8 and 9, and of course the nice g-string main lead riff: Beg Lead: I don't really like to play this song, so I'm not going to play it anymore, but nice to listen to. and the adv lead is fun, but hard to hit right. THe forgiving nature of Learn a Song allows me to flail along quite nicely.
  14. Not a lot of time this week. I'll try to get the Rhythm try as well.
  15. Really not having a great week. Here's a few.
