  4. @@Syvaa, it was in the Song Selection List... everyone can put up to 4 songs into those list, and every week for every class one song will be chosen by Random Number Generator for the competition. Feel free to add any songs to the list, if possible with difficulty ratings for the arrangements.

  7. welcome @@vinterchaos @ all, 10 min timeout until new week starts
  8. Fonk de Blues is finished, including all multitrack versions for PC, also a Multitrack-Songpack with all versions (PC). The converting to other platforms should be no problem with the actual Toolkit. OP gonna be updated.
  9. a great KC song the chords are extremely hard to register on bass http://up.picr.de/28866150iw.jpg on guitar the sync feels a bit strange sometimes http://up.picr.de/28866151ge.jpg but a nice mix of 5/8 and 4/4 edit - difficult rating for that is guitar 6, bass (real) 7-8, bass emu 5 :P
  10. nope, there is no rule for that... just play and have fun :D
  11. the first exercise is about bendings easy: Half Step Bends (with release bend) After completing all 12 tracks including the No Guitar versions I summarize them here you can just visit every single record page and download what you want or just get the whole Song Pack with all exercises and the final challenge with all their No Guitar versions. All cdlcs are available as Pc versions by now. If anyone have some trouble with converting just let me know. The Song Pack Lead Techniques 1 by Jammmz are taken from the Jammz site, all tracks are for free. Short exercise tracks with 15-30 seconds running time, very clear and qick memorizable. Every track also has a No Guitar version where you can should play along and listen to that. the tracks are: 01 - Single String - a single note line only on E string, focused on fret hand shifting 02 - Pentatonic Scale - very easy, basic handshape up and down, focused on memorizing the Penta scale 03 - Slides Up easy - also a pentatonic melody with slides as shape change. 04 - Slides Up medium - pentatonic melody again with slides as shape change, but faster. 05 - Slides Down harder - focused on slides down, make sure to play it clean. 06 - Pull Offs 07 - Hammer Ons 08 - Half Step Bends 09 - Whole Step Bends (also with unisono and release bends) this is the hardest exercise of them 10 - Vibrato slow - Easy one, but since RS doesn't care about some techniques scorewise it's up to you and your ears to let those vibratos vibrate 11 - Vibrato fast - same as in 10 12 - Final Challenge - All (or the most) techniques together in a final track, with about 30 seconds the longest. enjoy and raise your skills with that. Have an ear to your playing when running the No Guitar versions. Play them untill it sounds really good, that's the goal!!!
  12. Hi everyone here I present some little lead exercises for guitar. The music and tabs are taken from the Jammmz site. This site provides some really nice exercises with mp3 as normal tracks and without the specific instrument as playback. In this little workshop I make cdlcs with some of them. The tracks are very short and focused on particular techniques. I'll offer them as 2 piece packs with the example track with all instruments and a playback track without guitar. enjoy and raise your skills!
  13. yeah, and it's about art, cause sometimes what's called art is just like a fart :D edit - hey, that's a poem
  14. sorry if the song isn't serious enough for you... we made songs back then they are almost based on poems our singer wrote... he released any books with surrealistic stuff, and that's just art my friend ;) This song was more a fun piece we quickly arranged one day within a few hours (or was it minutes, more than 20 years ago is a long time), really simple one, and he just improvised. And to be honest, my 16 years old son is really laughing with that (he plays guitar in a metal/punk band)
  15. next slap bass experience is coming up :D this will be a great practice track when it's finished, also great for all guitars I hope my work of the last weeks
  16. Recording and mix is complete, now I take a little rest from this tune before I start charting and cdlcing it. I think the result is quite nice, very clean and clear sounding on all instruments. I hope I can recreate the tones in RS approximated than in the recording, especially for the rhythm guitar and the solo part I used some nice effects with my good old Boss GT3 over my good old Marshall JTM60, love it. For all who wants to know what's coming up, here is a preview Fonk de Blues I bet this will be extremely fun to play in RS
  17. First I played my own part, find this supereasy but that doesn't mean anything. http://up.picr.de/28720904ie.jpg http://up.picr.de/28720903oe.jpg http://up.picr.de/28720902mq.jpg and the bass is mc if you slap it, and of course I did. with slap 8-9, with fingers no way and with plec 7, emulated guit 6 The bass tone is much to loud, isn't it?
  18. does farting count? that's what I thought by wind instrument
  19. Very nice, this week with Krakatit we have another smash hit from one oft my old Bands of the mid 90s. Hope I find some time this week for playing. But my recordings and mixing for my next song is already complete, so the chances are not too bad. A pity that I missed the Supergroove last week.
  20. It's Rock'n Roll, I don't think that any of the available CB songs would really fit MC. I didn't checked any of the CDLC yet, but songwise the hardest of them should be Roll Over Beethoven, cause it's a little bit faster and contains more solos than the others.
  21. First a big thanks for lotsa feedback to the Minor Blues. good news to all who enjoyed it, as recording also as cdlc. Since it was so much fun to produce and as a good practise in recording and mixing actually I'm recording another one, also Minor Blues 12 bar shape in a slightly different shape in G-Minor, this time as Funk. The Arrangement this time is more complex than the B-Minor, with some catchy riffs between the blues shapes, a groovy slap bass and a real guitar solo in the middle. Drum and Bass is already completed, now I only have to re-record the 2 guitars and the solo and finally mix down. stay tuned
