  1. Sorry @@Rodman.... Lead IM: http://s6.postimg.org/6tkvo7nwx/RS2014_CF_Championship_Week_81_Lead_IM_4_99.jpg Sorry @... Lead ADV: http://s6.postimg.org/hug0t8g5t/RS2014_CF_Championship_Week_81_Lead_AD_4_91.jpg I'm just messing with you guys.... I expect you (@@Rodman) to beat my score and the same with you @, specially since I'm not even in the advanced class. :) I was lucky to hit the record key when I did the run on The Loner, I'll post it as soon as it's uploaded.... you'll be able to see quite a few high e bends registering, more than what I usually get (I think RS was in an extremely forgiven mood today ... I doubt that I'll be able to get the same scores, much less higher)
  2. Everything is ok, thanks a lot for all your work on the toolkit, it's extremely useful. :) I just downloaded v1.6.2, and after 5-10 minutes testing, I didn't find anything wrong, all that I did worked perfectly. As I said before, my PC is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I have .NET Framework 4.5.2 installed, as shown in the pic below..... http://s6.postimg.org/4orbvn7ip/screenshot_37.png I have 220 files in my dlc folder, the toolkit read them all without showing any corrupted file or duplicates and it shows all the known and correct tunings...... http://s6.postimg.org/i6y87xjo1/screenshot_38.png As far as I'm concerned, v1.6.2 is working flawlessly. :D
  3. Ok @@Alex360, I've made more tests to be sure from what toolkit version the custom stopped working. I started packing the same .xml saved package of the custom with version 5decd5e08a, it worked as I said before. Then I generated the .psarc with version 4d41353f92, it also worked. Next was version c61101157c and it crashed the game. I also tried with versions 47ed4367c3 and 5f9b28b6d0, both give the exact same error. Here's the link to the folder with 2 .psarc files (one working, the other crashing the game) and also the 4 .xmls generated by EoF and been used to generate files with the versions of the toolkit I mentioned above. I noticed 1 thing during the testing.... the versions that create the custom that crashes the game generate a file a little bit smaller than the ones that generate a working file. (working file size: 23.705/6Kb ; non-working file size: 23.701Kb) I don't know if that's significant or not, I just thought it was a bit odd, since the files used to generate the .psarc are the same, so I assumed the file size would be equal (or with very small differences, like 23.705Kb, 23.706Kb). If there's anything else I can do or that you need from me, just let me know. Thanks Update: I saw that 2 new builds of the toolkit were released today. I tried with both, same behavior in the game, as the smaller file size (about 5Kb-6Kb). EDIT2: @@Alex360, @@cozy1, I went back a few pages and read all the posts. I now see that other people had the same problem I'm having. I don't really know what the showlights.xml file is for, but does it have to do with what is shown on the background while playing a song? In the meantime I tested another custom, I mean, I repacked another custom I had finished recently with the latest toolkit version that came out today and that custom works. Just a theory from someone that lacks any kind of knowledge on how the toolkit/coding works, but since I think this error is only happening with certain customs, could there be a common "thing" on those that "interferes" with the showlights file, something that doesn't exist on the ones that work? I have no clue on what that could be, since the customs I referred are both from Gary Moore, so lots of bends and single notes.... differences between the 2.... - 1 has tone changes, the other doesn't - the one with the tone changes also has lyrics, the other doesn't I can't think of anything else that exists on the custom that crashes but is absent on the one that works, could any of the things I said be the source of the problem? Sorry for lots of text and questions, I'm just trying to help you guys solving this issue..... if you need anything else, files, testing, just let me know. Thanks for all the work on one of the tools that allows us to be able to create customs. :)
  4. Hey @@Alex360, something weird happened today that had never happened before. I'm working on a custom, I started last week and I made the 1st build to test, which was working fine. Today I was going to continue, and when testing the 1st build I noticed the lead arrangement had a lot of notes out of sync, so I decided to sync it again in GPA and then import to EoF.... you know the rest. When I was done in EoF, I generated the .psarc with the latest toolkit version, no errors. I go to the game, select the song, press to play, pass the tuner and BUM, I'm back on the desktop with that usual windows error box. I tried of everything I could think of and no matter what I did, every time I tried to play the custom, in any of the 3 arrangements, as soon as the song was about to start, error. After a couple of hours I decided to downgrade EoF to r1400 (I was using r1401) and use the toolkit version that came out on April 30th, the one with the DDC v2.7 update. I opened the project in EoF, saved it to generate new .xml's, packed the song, go to the game and the custom is working fine. To summarize, I wanted to know what was causing the crash, so after several trial and error attempts I found out that what was causing the game to crash was the toolkit. :o I forgot to mention that no other CDLC, ODLC or even on disc songs ever did this. What happened some times with broken customs was the game froze after the tuner, just showing the speakers and I had to ALT+F4 to exit the game, but when those situations happened, I always discovered what was causing the problem and it was always something related with the making of the custom. Now I'm using EoF r1401, the toolkit from April 30th and I already generated 3 builds of the custom and all of them worked fine. What puzzles me is that I have imported customs to remove DD with the latest toolkit version and I even generated a new version of a custom I had completed but needed a few corrections and all worked perfectly, so I have absolutely no clue what the toolkit did different with the files from this custom to cause the game to crash every time I tried to play it. Let me know if you need any files. As for the logs from the toolkit, sorry, but with all the testing they got deleted, but I can re-create the situation again easily if you guys need the .psarc or the log file from the toolkit.
  5. Hey Cozy1, I just saw this thread... as you know, I'm running Win7 64bit and I have .NET v4.5.2. I can run the tool fine, everything works except for what I read posted above, all the customs have "Other" as the tuning. Apart from that, the game save features, the inlays, etc., everything works as it should. Just thought you would like to know. :)
  6. I'm glad to hear that @@MaZtoR, but the cable volume doesn't affect the bends, I should have said that in the other post I made before. @ mentioned something that I also noticed on my guitar. With the chromatic tuner, I have all strings in tune, with perfect pitch, the same with 12th harmonic and note, so the intonation is perfect. I run the game, go to the RS tuner, all open strings are in tune, 12th fret harmonic in tune, 12th fret note on the G, B and high e goes a bit sharp, +5/+7. On the high e, after fret 15, omg, it's a disaster, most of the notes are way sharp, the tuner shows values of +25/+30. So, what I do when I play songs that have tons of bends on the high e > fret 15 is flatten the string after passing the tuner (I drop it to around -15/-20 in the RS tuner). 75% of the time it helps to get the bends registering (and it doesn't interfere with the recognition on the rest of the fretboard or even the open string). I also play the bends that have long tails up-down-up-down-etc. until I see the tail lit (or when playing in SA, when the speaker shows "late"). I'm pretty sure this is different for each guitar/player/system, so I'm just referring to what I experienced with my equipment. I don't know if you already watched the video I have posted on the custom's thread, I got 91.12% on that run and I played in SA, so you can see that I managed to get a few of those bends registering, not many, but more than when I don't do what I mentioned above.
  7. Sorry everyone, I had to revise the chart of the lead arrangement of "The Loner" today and found a few things which needed to be corrected. So, here's v1.5 for download.... PC MAC Update with the new v1.5... Lead ADV: http://s6.postimg.org/wjzxuzkk1/RS2014_CF_Championship_Week_81_Lead_AD_3_90.jpg
  8. Well @@Van-Blurten, I did another run of the lead IM and recorded it. It's a very sloppy playthrough, but I hope it gives you some help in one way or another. Here's the video... Thanks @, I tried the best I could to match Gary's tone, I hope I was able to accomplish it. :)
  9. It's funny that you mention that, I never knew for sure, but from the songs I've played from him, I had that distinct impression and when making the lead tone(s), I always have that in mind.... I can't "emulate" the $2000 pups, but so far I think I've managed to get the tones not so bad. Now I also understand the amazing tones you have on both customs you made from Mr. Moore. :D Thanks for the info @@Van-Blurten. P.S.: I'm not even close one of the best players on the CS, I manage ok in IM class on guitar and ADV on bass, that's it, but if you want me to record a video playing the lead IM arrangement (having in consideration that I used to suck really big time in this type of arrangements), just let me know, it's no trouble at all.
  10. Have you tried the lead IM @@Van-Blurten? I usually don't get scores much higher than 90-95%, but this week with just a couple of runs I'm close to 99% (maybe, I keep missing the same damn chords  )
  11. A couple of updates.... Lead IM: (DD version) http://s6.postimg.org/n46acjydt/RS2014_CF_Championship_Week_81_Lead_IM_2_98.jpg Lead IM: (NDD version) http://s6.postimg.org/kbd2siy1d/RS2014_CF_Championship_Week_81_Lead_IM_3_97.jpg I think I'm gonna play the DD version  Lead ADV: http://s6.postimg.org/olrqo434h/RS2014_CF_Championship_Week_81_Lead_AD_2_89.jpg It would be nice to be able to score >90% for a third time :)..... keep in mind that I've played this arrangement more than 100 times, always getting between 85%-88%, only 2 times I got above 90%, 1 time playing in LAS and the other in SA, which I was fortunate to record and it's the video posted on the song's thread. @, following what @@Nacholede said very well, this week's lead ADV is a very good example. I'm no where near to be able to play the Lead ADV songs, sometimes I manage to get a score a little bit higher than 80%, but it's around that percentage or lower. I think "The Loner" is as difficult as the other songs and like I said above, I'm pretty much managing to play the song well, I would have a much better score if the damn bends on the high e frets >17 registered. But like I said, I played the song hundreds of times, literally.
  12. Chatting with @ this afternoon about how long the game would lit up the tail of a sustain, in my case, I have a long sustain, while @ was having a short one. He had the real-tone cable volume set in game at -1.2dB, which is the default, if I'm not mistaken. My real-tone cable volume is at 7.0dB for guitar and 7.5dB for the bass. I don't have static, noise or overdrive, the sound is always clean on both instruments. After telling this to @, he started changing the value and because his guitar has much better pickups than mine (mine are passive and his are active, not to mention his are EMG :D), he set the final value to 5.0dB and with that value he doesn't have noise, etc. and the sustain is much longer. We thought it would be a good idea to post this, since it can happen to someone else, which in that case that someone else already knows what to try and probably fix the issue.
  13. @, @@MaZtoR said that he has the issue of the bends on the high e above fret 15 not registering on all songs, not just this one. Is it the same with you, or do you have problems with just this custom? @@MaZtoR, I know it's not how it should be played, but have you tried to make the bend (like normal pitch, 2 step, normal pitch, 2 step, etc) while the tail shows? If you haven't tried that, can you try and see if you get a little bit better of recognition? I have the exact same problem on all customs, so on this one I tried something different in EoF and if you watch the video I have on the thread of the custom, I managed to get a few of those never registering bends to register. I played in SA specially to see when they registered and how I was playing in order for them to register, but it could have been just luck. Fortunately the song was picked for the CS, and if you guys don't mind helping, all the feedback is extremely helpful to see if what I did different on the bends in EoF improved the recognition on that string/frets or not. Thanks Thanks @

  15. If anybody finds anything wrong with Gary Moore - The Loner, just let me know and I'll fix it a.s.a.p.. I just released v1.4 yesterday, it's supposed be the final version and no errors should be found, but after so many hours in EoF customizing the bends of lead arrangement to match as best as possible the way Mr. Moore played them, amongst many other things, it's possible that I might have overlooked something, so just let me know what that is and I'll fix it. Thanks and I hope the ADV players enjoy both the lead and the rhythm arrangement (btw, the 2nd half of the rhythm arrangement was fully charted by me, since the tab file only had the notes until the middle of the song, so I had to figure it out on my own and given that I don't have any music theory knowledge, it's most likely that there are several mistakes, if so, just say where).
