I also found this comment on the reviews interesting: "When you remap keys, you remap them inside the pedals' internal memory, not on connected computer. This means, once you remap your pedals you can connect them to any other computer - Windows, Map or Linux and it will trigger your chosen keys."

Im going to try something like this and just map it to the tones keys. Also seen them on amazon, gearbest etc. usually around 30 bucks. In theory you could also map it to the up, down and enter keys for controlling menus, I wonder if you could connect more then one, hmmm

My guess is its a specific CDLC causing the tone crash. This has been my experience in the past with some CDLC, if I restart and try the same song it crashes again, once I have the song narrowed down there is a fix. There ARE some apps/exploits available for PS4 to do file transfer but I doubt its working yet. It was discussed a bit here: http://customsforge.com/topic/29531-getting-cdlc-on-ps4/ Maybe you can try it out an let us know...Last I checked you needed Ps4 with 1.76 or lower firmware.

We are getting closer, you can access the files on the ps4 now so maybe you could try it and let us know, I unfortunately do not have a PS4 yet. The software is called PS4FileNinja it is a tool that lets you browse the content (File system, and memory) of your PS4 from a PC. This is only compatible with firmware 1.76 and firmware 1.70, the only known firmwares with an operational kernel exploit at the moment. According to the author, Version 2 brings the ability to attach to processes and dump or analyze process memory. Does it crash the tone with the same song every time? This is the issue I had as well with several songs. The weeknd, and some DMX if I remember correctly. If I see my tone crash on a specific song here is what I do before I relaunch my game. Open the rocksmith toolkit> import package> saved the folder to my desktop> Generate> save the new .psarc file to my DLC folder (manually removed old .psac first) Done.
