@@Rodman I thought I was ADV already. I scored above 97% in three consecutive weeks (230-232) in INT Lead. All songs were difficulty 5. I'm taking that win. Time to up the game a little.

@@Vodka, @@ZeroPingNZ, @@Stark_Knight, thank you for the advice and kind help offers. I'll manage. I have a degree in CS. Not that it helps much, but I have a pretty good grasp of the principles and I have always built all my computers from the ground up. I even use Gentoo Linux, if that means anything to you. The thing is, that I do not enjoy this kind of tinkering as much as I used to do. After a work day at the computer, I'd rather play guitar than fix the machine. But I'm too much a perfectionist to settle with a half assed solution and I brought it onto myself by purchasing the hardware. At least it will be fast when it finally works. :)

There will most probably no entries from me this week. I got a new processor and motherboard and windows won't start anymore. I need to move my my dual boot system onto the (also new) SSD. Linux was easy, but Windows insists on reinstall. It is still unhappy with the partitioning of the HD, it says.

Unfortunately I do not have much time this week, but I want to play at least my song selection. Awful lead sound, I stole the one from Jailbreak, that one was easier on the ears.

Oh dear, I had the same. And to a degree still have it. Too much strain from guitar playing, computer work, motorcycling and sword fighting. It never really goes away, says my orthopaedic. I managed to keep it under control by switching keyboard layout to Dvorak, cutting down on mouse use, selling the bike and putting HEMA activities on hiatus. Guitar playing time increased, though :-) Take care!

Man, that was hard work! After getting the exact same score as in my last post for two times and serveral tries that scored lower, finally a 97% score, even if it is only a 0.21% improvement. Now it's time to try the other stuff.

@@Telboy I know exactly what you mean. This song is quite different from what I play normally and I am really struggling. I have played it so many times already and still don't get it consistently right. That said, sometimes I get in the flow, then it works (sooo close): The play count lies, there have been a hundred restarts.

This is a dovnright vile selection for INT Lead. The song is cool, but my arpeggios are weak. First time I tried, I had 82%. It will be hard work to get it to 97%. After working on it all evening, reached the nineties at last.

...and I finally found the bass in Flying Whales. LAS crashes for me, so I tried SA today. First there also was no bass line, despite some audible bass playing, but then, after half a song, suddenly, some notes. Confused me like hell. Second try must do.

You need BB-code to embed the picture. Click on the image in imgur.com, so that it displays the picture in a popup. There should be some buttons to the right of the picture now. Press the one that says 'Copy BB-Code'. This copies the picture URL to your clipboard in a format that you can direcly paste into the message editor on Customsforge. Buy me a beer if this helps. :)
