Why is there not more Grateful Dead?
Aludog replied to powderstoke's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Sorry to disappoint you but for the time being I have stopped making customs, especially those that need a lot of work (like GD songs). I honestly don't have the time for it and I don't have the same motivation as before, so I rather focus on my own music for now but I might eventually return if I feel like it. -

Why is there not more Grateful Dead?
Aludog replied to powderstoke's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Grateful Dead songs are inherently tricky to translate from recording to notation and especially tricky to translate back into action, so that's why. Also, there might be a lot of tabs out there but not too many good GP files which most people use as their starting point for customs. I have two song books and I still wanna release a few more GD customs but it takes way more time and work than other songs, so I usually put it off. :) -
@ I actually haven't heard that yet, so I should check it out. Then I might consider adding it and if you can provide bass tabs that would be awesome.

I remember how hard I worked to get a good tone for my Yes and Chris Squire customs. It's not easy because he was using two amps at the same time: One clean bass amp and an overdriven guitar amp, so he got definition and growl. RS is limited in that regard, so it's always a compromise but I think I managed to get it pretty close both times. You can try using either of those for the official customs. I know I will once I actually play them. :D

5 and 6 string bass songs using the guitar layout for the game?
Aludog replied to chris1169's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Well, there's option of setting 5- or 6-string bass as a requirement when submitting customs to the database but I think Ignition, the current database engine, isn't able to actually filter or even show that information, so there's no way to look for it atm. There'll be an update eventually which should make that possible, at least that's what I hope. Not sure if anyone's made a list of songs that require 5- or 6-string basses, but you can search for it. I also don't know what genres you are interested in and apart from the one's I made, I don't really have a lot of info about that. A lot of progressive rock/metal bands use 5/6 string basses (Dream Theater, Haken, etc.) and also many modern musicals require basses with more than 4 strings (I released a few customs from musicals like that). Making a list of my own stuff will take a while, so I'll only do it once I know what you are really looking for. -
5 and 6 string bass songs using the guitar layout for the game?
Aludog replied to chris1169's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Sure you can and it has been done before by a lot of charters, myself included. If you want to know specifics than look for the appropriate tutorial. -
After an even longer break, there's finally a pack #13. I hope you enjoy Whysowhite and if you do, consider buying their albums off bandcamp. :D

some CDLC song in rocksmith are not in 440 how i can fix that
Aludog replied to tytykaka44's question in Rocksmith Remastered
So, what you are saying is, that the custom is in 440 Hz even though the actual recording isn't? In that case you have to use the toolkit to fix it and I'm pretty certain there are already threads in this forum that explain how to do that. Ideally you should try to contact the custom author first and tell him what the issue is, so he can fix it for everybody. -

Aludog replied to tytykaka44's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Yeah, you are right of course. :D I didn't try to bash Ubisoft, because it's there thing if they do it or not, apart from the fact that they might not even be able to because of legal reasons. And the same goes for every charter. That was the whole point, actually. :) -
some CDLC song in rocksmith are not in 440 how i can fix that
Aludog replied to tytykaka44's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Hmm, let's see: Maybe it wasn't recorded at 440 Hz? Or the pitch was changed in the mixing/mastering process? There's a lot of reasons, so I'm not exactly sure what your question here is. You might be aware that a lot of official DLC is not in 440 Hz either, so why does it surprise you that CDLC is? Tbh, I usually pitch shift my own releases, so tuning to a different pitch isn't necessary but that's just me. I can't fault anyone for not doing it since Ubisoft doesn't bother either. -
Added all the songs from the Monty Python's Spamalot Act II Medley.

User specific defaults for submissions
Aludog replied to JamesPrestonUK's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Agreed. It is really annoying to enter the same info time and time again. Any improvement in that regard would be greatly appreciated.- 1 reply

Added "The Stars Look Down" from "Billy Elliot: The Musical" and "Miracle" from "Matilda:The Musical".

The bass is hard to hear during the solo section but I'll try my best to figure it out. Might take a bit longer than I thought though. I'll send it your way once I've got it.

Added "I Am The Very Model Of A Modern Major-General" and "When A Felon's Not Engaged In His Employment" from "The Pirates Of Penzance".

I can do a bass transcription for Magic Carpet Ride. Shouldn't be a problem.
-
Changed "Time Warp" from @JamesPrestonUK's to @fripponomic's version. Sorry, James.
-
Yeah, The Pusher is on my list and I might work on it soon. I can also help you out with bass on the other tracks, like I wrote you. Just send me the GP file once the guitar parts are done and I'll try to work on it.

@@avdocatwork I've already sent you the scanned tabs for Steppenwolf via PM. Didn't you get them?
-
Oh, I know but it's still a great version. There are a lot of live versions anyway and all of them are allowed now, so why not release your own? :D
