I think it's caused lack of dd?, there's a checkbox in the CFSM under the repair option to add DD that should fix it.

It's some alternate picked octave chords. You play it like a power chord but mute the string in-between, since they are so common most people don't tab them with the muted string. How would I mute the middle string in particular? Im starting to understand but still seems difficult :huh: mute with fretting hand or picking hand? Mute with the fretting hand, if you play powerchords with 3 fingers instead of baring you just lightly touch the other string with the second (middle) finger. If you play powerchords with 2 fingers and barre them you mute it with the first (index) or third (ring) finger by moving it up or down slightly to touch the string. Nice vid mate. Yea I've probably got to work on all them things as well lol, but to say some of my own things to work on. I wanna try to learn bass with my fingers instead of playing it with a pick like a scrub. Figure out how to record/mix/master stuff without it sounding like complete ass. Learn some of my favorite songs off my todo list I've been putting off 'cus they're "too hard" Rewrite my todo list because its split into 10 million text files on my desktop And fix my old rubbish songs on this site.

You need to use a bass tone instead of a guitar tone, here's one I use for most of my bass. to load it into the toolkit click on the tone at the bottom, click edit, load tone, browse to the tone xml file and select it, press ok a few times and you should be good.

For sections with no notes use a "no guitar" section, then it will be skipped by riff repeater and not recommended by rocksmith to practice. Pretty sure rocksmith only recommends one section so if you want it to do all the "intro" you need to make it one section? And phrases only link sections DD values so they shouldn't affect this? I just give each section the same phrase with the "also add an rs phrase" checkbox when adding sections so they all match. All sections need a phrase, but can you have multiple per section?, what would it do, if anything?, maybe that would be worth testing? (maybe you've already done it tho) So you could either have a long intro section or lots of smaller ones with no guitar sections in-between the rests. I don't think you can have "sub-sections" "The phrases marked green don't start with a note in the first beat, and the first note isn't on a beat, but rather between two beats, which I've heard may cause problems". I haven't had any issues with that but sometimes it can cause the section to be unselectable. If the issue happened to me I'd change the time signature of the tab so the notes started on a beat. For Q2, pretty sure it doesn't matter too much. "Intro" and "outro" might manage the portal fade in effect, and other sections might make the crowd cheer more/less, but if you use all "verse" sections it works fine. You can have any section anywhere, I think it mostly just does the name in the rocksmith recommends bit. Huh you can make your own sections with shift + P, wonder if rs can display them, maybe its more for FOF and guitar hero? Also for Q3, setting it to 0 makes it louder, if you want to make it quieter use something like -7. If you want to be fancy there's a tool to "measure loudness" so you can set the right value. I normally go for a -5. You can change the loudness factor and rebuild the song after its made all the audio files so you can keep fiddling with the LF. And finally "I don't even know what half the sections mean." Me neither but this might be useful (scroll down till it says "A little information part about what section correspond to what in a musical pieces." with a big quote underneath). Some are missing so I guess eof added more sections overtime Sorry if this is useless, confusing and rambly, I'm not too good at sections myself, never tried to do anything more than the basics with them. But hopefully it is of some use.

I noticed that importing tabs (from gp5) with turnings below -12 steps that they are off by an octave. A tuning with a -13 string loops back to -1, and a -25 (done for testing purposes) goes back to a -1 too . So drop E (-12,-10,-10,-10,-10,-10) imports as (0,-10,-10,-10,-10,-10). Also if you have a 6 string/bass track and a 7 string track in the same tab, click drop thinnest and then import a 6 string/bass track it will have the wrong tuning when it should not be affected by this choice. Click drop thickest and it works fine. With this issue Drop E (-12,-10,10,10,10,10) imports as (-4,-5,-3,-3,-2,-3), idk what happens with that one Tested on latest hotfix too (12-12-2019), still happens. Tab used for testing (but its not too hard to make your own lol)
