  1. I created a new CDLC version of the song Shinedown - Monsters. Available here: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/84197 This version includes an additional bonus lead path, and the rhythm includes power chords in the chorus as it should. I like playing this because it's not too difficult and it has a nice sound.
  2. Rhythm scores The rhythm chart here is basically the same as the lead but without the solo. There should be power chords etc. I like playing it, so I will try to improve this CDLC to make it more like the original chart. Hah, it was the first time I played this. Playing without backing tracks is demanding for me, because I hear too much how badly I play sometimes This is so great to play!
  3. Wow, so many songs! So let's start celebrating! I've played most of these songs before, but now that I've come back to them I've managed to get a better score almost everywhere, so that's satisfying. . This is the first time I played ithis song. A perfect song for beginners, in my opinion this should be the main song for this week's beg class. I played this once before in the championship. Improvement 98 -> 99%. I don't think this is more difficult than AC/DC song. Cool song, the solo gave me a little problem. 95% -> 97%. One of the songs from the first weeks I started participating. Same accuracy as before. Ok, this is a nice song, but the chart is more rhythmic, I would prefer to play something more solo in lead path. Great improvement 89% -> 95%. I wonder if I like playing this band's songs? Their charts appeared several times in the championship and on the one hand they were ok, but there was always something about them that annoyed me, for example the strange and uncomfortable solo here... I haven't played this song for a long time, although I do play something from IM from time to time. I messed up the intro part, I would have to spend some time learning it. The rest of the song went well and huge improvement from 81% to 90%! This I played for the first time and for me it's probably the least fun song from the selection. @ Rodman Thank you for making a great selection. Have a nice week!
  4. Oh, there's a lot of slides in bass this week. I lost some accuracy because of this. Not a good chart for the championship, because the score depends heavily on slides recognition. And this is good. Really interesting. I like this style of jamming/soloing on bass. Pretty ok. And again the slide madness... But fun chart.
  5. Maybe final improvement. Unfortunately not score attack...
  6. Guitar improvements. It will be difficult to improve this, because recognition here is not the best.
  7. Rhythm day No crashes for me, I don't now, I don't know why this is happening to you These two songs from adv/master classes are not particularly difficult but, a lot of notes are lost due to recognition...
  8. There was probably one song here a few weeks ago that I rated 1.5 in bass path. I think that difficulty 1 is a chart that has only simple, single notes and enough distance between notes that even someone who starts playing guitar/bass and "doesn't feel" the distance of the frets has time to easily position their fingers correctly.
  9. Wow! For the guitar paths this is more 9 than 10 diff, but the bass is a cleary 10. Some parts are like guitar fast solos and those tapping parts, omg.
  10. I commented yesterday that it wasn't a hard bass week, but I checked the difficulty ratings carefully and I would still add +1 to the difficulty rating to every song except the masterclass song. Bass paths are often underrated because most of the championship participants are at the high-intermediate or adv/master level. But when someone is at a more beginner or slightly intermediate level, like @ Minute2Midnight , it is not so easy to achieve a very high score. So: The Chumbawamba song is easy and repetitive but quite uncomfortable to play (repetitive jumps over many frets). I would give it a 3. The Culture Club song is a 4, but due to the difficult beginning of the synthesized bass I would give it a 4.5. The Gravestone song has some fast riffs, although not very technically difficult, so I would give it a 5.
  11. In 2021, we changed the range of difficulty ratings for each class, but after some time we returned to the old system, where the ratings for bass are the same as for guitar. This was due to discussions and the difficulty of finding enough songs with sufficiently difficult bass paths.
  12. You're probably the biggest fan of the Culture Club song at the moment
  13. Lead I've heard this song on the radio many times, but I've never played it on Rocksmith until now. Fun song! I once wanted to add this song to the suggestion list and didn't, but I saved a screenshot, so it's a very old screenshot. I'm hearing this for the first time, interesting song. Not too difficult apart from the solo. This is my suggestion, so also an old screenshot. I haven't played this in a while, but this is one of the better Aerosmith songs for me.
  14. We already know that bass charts are often rated too highly for you. On the other hand, when I recently tested some of your suggestions for bass-only songs, I almost always thought that the diff rating was too low. One you even qualified as beginner when it was advanced. You have to take into account that bass charts are usually less complicated than guitar charts, so we take a more gentle approach to assessing their difficulty, otherwise it would be difficult to create a weekly songs selection for the championship.
  15. I can finally post these scores. I played lead for the first time over a month ago, but I lost screenshot, so today I played again and it was good because I managed to achieve 90%. Epic composition!
  16. Here is a link to the Aerosmith song: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/41353 There is a valid link in the spreadsheet, so it looks like @ Hughmonty apparently entered the data by hand and not using a script.
  17. Generally, I think that if the chart in guitar and bass paths is the same or very similar (2 such cases this week!), difficulty rating for the bass is about +1 compared to the guitar. But these are my feelings, because I find it more difficult to play the bass when there are some fast riffs, slides, turns, etc. That's why in the song The Hives I rated guitar 5 and bass 6, although there are so many slides and bends that it could even be 6.5/7. This is a very interesting observation. A lead chart is generally supposed to be made more difficult by riffs, solos etc., so I can understand that the same chart might have a slightly higher difficulty rating for a rhythm path than lead. I have serious doubts that this thread will be alive and there will be activity in it, but maybe I'm wrong. But it's an interesting idea, so more participants would have to comment.
  18. Bass I don't know how it happened, but I probably played lead and rhythm here during testing, and assessed the bss diff visually. Now I played bass path for the first time and it seems more difficult than 6, but maybe it's because of the bends and slides that are difficult to recognize.
  19. Rhythm improvement @ aNDESmASAMUNE I just noticed this, but I think @ Rodman mentioned it earlier. I don't know why you rated lead as 6 and rhythm as 7.5 in this song, if it's almost the same chart. Both 6.5 for me.
