  1. That songsterr tab was garbage compared to this. Thanks for finding it for me! :) 15490
  2. 14466The alert isn't actually the problem, because I got the same warning on Snow Drop and it came out fine. I do notice the the sustained chord that starts the song doesn't seem nearly long enough in the tab version. 1451314560
  3. http://i.imgur.com/pAt7vbf.jpg This was the error I got . I would love a different tab if you have one. Just one guitar track seems fishy, knowing Ken. The only L'arc tabs I have come from songsterr, and the other day I had a new experience....they didn't have the song I wanted! LOL (It was Taste of Love). Do you like L'Arc? I wonder if the problem had to do with me not going through with the import when I got the warning, and then trying it again later....wondering if it offset it with the first attempted import, and then again when I actually did import it? 14452
  4. I don't remember clicking and dragging anything or messing with the beat not the only thing I can remember is that I got a warning message that said that the audio starts before the chart (of vice versa) and it asked me if I wanted to proceed and I said yes but I'll check all the suggestions later and let you know what happens (voice typing)
  5. http://www.songsterr.com/a/wa/search?pattern=larc&r=tabType&lyrics=any&tuning=any&inst=gtr&diff=any&sort=p&vocals=any&tabType=player It's on this page but I can't get to the exact link cos of the stupid mobile app screen diverting me on my phone. I think the bpm stays pretty consistent though. When I play it back with the claps on in EOF the notes are synced.
  6. Video below: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x370yvj_chart-gone-wrong_videogames (I recommend using firefox with adblock plus) This chart was synced in GPA and plays fine in EOF, but in the game the chart runs 2 or 3 seconds behinds the audio and crashes the game at the end. Last time I played it, the whole note highway was flashing and notes were randomly disappearing. I've done like 35 cdlcs and never had something like this happen. Here's the psarc: https://mega.nz/#!1slhVTbI!iPYaFyv9vXk_uB8w4hGMvgj3TQRPlHCfGpDE6Nr8FfY and the notes.eof: https://mega.nz/#!tw9VTDpC!vjtl2Tu2MM8vd68i0sjUdLN3-tn7wYp0m9PTqJpJyM4 If there's anything else helpful I can provide let me know. 7. 240 Of course. I was tired (and a little stupid) after a long week. I actually did know that, since I play ancient stuff like Crimson Skies, 4x4 Evo, and Freespace on my computer all the time. Now that I've made an idiot of myself and drawn the attention of some very big Rsmith brains, so it's not such a waste, do one of you know where I can find a thread that addresses the EoF error I happen to be getting at the moment? http://i.imgur.com/pAt7vbf.jpg (naturally I am surprised by this...I've used GPA A LOT. I've gotten it on the last 2 songs I've tried to synch, and when I tried to proceed the first time around, the resulting CDLC crashed Rocksmith. ------------- Incidentally, I am having an issue with BPR. When I tried to install it, it said the directory wasn't valid and asked me to choose the directory, so I did, and it's still not showing in the toolkit. 316
  8. So this is a no go for those of us with 64bit Windows? 22332267
  9. Hey thanks a bunch! I'll give that a try later. I forget sometimes that back when I made that file I didn't know wtf I was doing. a couple questions.... Were the notes still synched ok after you resnapped them and played the file? Also, which is right, marker on the 4th measure or on the 5th (and so on...)? Lastly what is that program? Oh also, would the notes issue explain the disappearing chord at 4:20 or did I goof and just not find it yet?
  10. I'm having a problem with DD on one of my files. First off, I don't use it. I turn the difficulty all the way up in riff repeater and then play. For testing purposes, I continue to use the DD version, or if my wife or someone wants to play one of my songs with DD. Just FYI It appears to lower certain parts all the way down, which I've never see it do before. I've also been doing my phrases/sections differently, because before I was doing it every 4, as in 1,2,3,4 and I'd put the next marker on 4. I recently decided that I'd been doing it wrong all along and that it should be on 5 (and so on), not 4. Is this correct? If so, most of my songs are every 3 measures, if my math is right, so that could be why I'm suddenly seeing DD doing "weird" (aka normal but I didn't know any better before) things. I should also point out that I name all my phrases/sections "Intro" because I'm too lazy to decide what each area of the song should be called. ALSO........and I could be on crack, I think DD is hiding entire chords, because this song, about 3 quarters of the way through, the chords go off time with the music, which I think is because it's actually hiding the chord change and showing a repeat as if it was the initial chord in that change.........but again, I could be crazy, but I'd searched EOF and can't find any mistakes. It happens at 4:20 in the video. At the end, you can see the empty black bars w/ no orange in them. Here's the video so you can see: http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/blurry-eyes-r2299 (it's embedded in the custom page, which is good because dailymotion's ads are really obnoxious) I can provide the project file or the whole folder if it would help. It's a bummer that I can't to the end of the song without it freaking out. It didn't used to lower the difficulty until the next play. You'd see it after you finished the song, but it never hid notes while you were playing. I've noticed the bar dropping down to zero on at least one other song. Thanks! 153157
  11. I ended up deleting all the tone changes, renaming the affected tone, and just reloading the 1 arrangement, and that was enough to fix it for me. Thanks! :) 38
  12. While we're talking about GPA, has anyone downloaded 3.0 yet? I keep getting the reminder popup, but when I went to their site, I couldn't tell if it was a free upgrade for existing license holders, so I just left. 337
  13. I'm working on a song with basically 2 tones that alternate (plus 1 for the solo) and for some reason, I just can't get a tone to stick to this one particular measure, even though the same tone works everywhere else. I've deleted and re-added it a bunch of times, and even tried deleting it and placing it 1 note before the measure, so it's in a different position, but RS just continues to ignore that particular tone change, while all the other changes (before and after) work fine. Here's the file if someone could take a look please. The song's basically ready for upload otherwise: https://mega.nz/#!NptxkJSJ!RLNlQbG2qGzWIULLy-H4SDdEgL4VKnUnYh3v3mHJN60 The problem is on measure 79, and the tone name is "overdrive". Thanks! :D 266
  14. I've clearly had this problem before, cos when I just searched for this issue, I found that I had already liked your post. It was (once again) the solution to my problem. I had added VOCALS.xml in the toolkit, rather than VOCALS_RS2.xml. Let's hope I don't have to search for it a 3rd time. I'm going to have to write myself a FAQ of questions frequently asked my me. LOL Thanks! (again) 62
  15. That would be cool if you did. It did completely stop my work for a night ;) Thanks again for the help! 31
  16. 982Here ya go: https://mega.co.nz/#!10VCmbgK!kAqXkT8H2eG0O1qKQcOi4YrCI6B8xlqMk6o8Q1ip7Gg Actually I was working with the 19th and 20th fret. Edit: YUP! I didn't even know that was a setting, but mine was set to a max of 17 frets. Track > Pro Guitar > Set number of frets/strings Thanks! 9911040
  17. I can try that when I get home, but just so you know, I'm only doing single notes, and I deleted them and when I put a note back down, the moment I change the fret number it automatically mutes it. also, I can't remember if this is normal or not, but instead of saying Lane #1 it says Legacy.
  18. 766I think I accidentally hit the wrong keyboard shortcut, and now whenever I hit N to change a note's fret number, it automatically changes to a mute when I hit apply. Any ideas?
  19. Too much information. I see you two have met. :D 131
  20. This worked perfectly for me, thanks so much! I would still suggest anyone who tried it to cautiously watch their last measure and be ready to "undo" if anything goes wrong, but yeah. This is badass. I'd suggest updating your FAQ to specifically reference how to do it with existing/finished CDLCs. That will come as a great help to folks like me, and to folks who "adopt" abandoned CDLCs, to make them even better! :D
  21. I think I understand now. So I would take the last linked chord that's already in the chart, and put a tech note under the regular note, and then link to the sustain of the tech note rather than the regular chord? So it would still just be a single sustained note, preserving the integrity of the chart? Edit: What's weird is the sustained note links to the chord and works perfectly now. It's just that final slide that's the problem. It'll be funny if it still doesn't work, but we'll see tonight when I try it (assuming I understood you correctly). Thanks! :D
  22. Yes, and it's very easy! In EOF, under "Beat" click on "Push Offset Up". Repeat as often as necessary, until it looks like my picture above. Make sure to set the correct "Time Signature" under "Beat", too. Otherwise the yellow numbers couting the bars will not show up, because Rocksmith will not know which the first beat of every bar is. Your notes will not move, so don't be afraid that you might break your chart. Your problem is the other way around: In a 4/4 time signature, you have to click "Push Offset Back" four times to insert a full "blank" measure prior to the first one. Please let me know if you still have any issues ;) Assuming it works, that's just what I needed. Thanks! Is there any concern if the notes at the end go up to the last measure? I'm picturing it adding a measure at the beginning and pushing the notes at the end into a black hole. ;)
  23. This is great. When I went back to add the count in to a bunch of my finished songs, I initally wondered why I hadn't been doing this all along. Then I discovered that nearly all of mine have notes on the first beat of the first measure. This means that if I want to add it, I would have to move all the notes/tech notes/tones/positions/lyrics back a measure (not to mention anything I haven't thought of), which is something I'm definitely not going to do. I don't supposed there is any way to "insert" a blank measure prior to the first one? All of my songs have leading silence, so there's actual space enough to do it, but I'm guessing this is one of those "never gonna happen" things. If there is a way, I would definitely find it very useful. It would also be useful for another song I'm working on that has spoken lyrics start before there are any other instruments, and since the GP synch starts with the first beat, I can't add the lyric at all, since there's no measure under it, only leading silence. It's just 2 words, the title of the song, so no biggie.
