  1. Maybe he likes the song, you never know... My first daughter was going to sleep fastest if I put on some maiden when she was a toddler.
  2. Well, don't give up now, there's still time left.
  3. Warmup run for today, didn't expect to get to 99 right away. Normally I'd try for 100%, but the bends on 22nd fret don't register for me, so I'm gonna be a couple notes short. SA score incoming soon.
  4. There's still plenty of time left. I figured victory would taste better if I let him know early, instead of posting in the last minute.
  5. @ Bottledpat12 Watch out.
  6. As it turns out, where there's a will, there's a way.
  7. Because of family stuff there's a possibility that I won't be able to play for the rest of the week. So here's where I am at the moment: The chart is not accurate, at least to my ears, but it is in sync with the rhythm and playable, so ok in my book. Low 8 in the difficulty department. Not my jam. I haven't seen the movie, but judging from the lyrics I guess I wouldn't like it either. I watch a lot of kids movies and cartoons with my kids, and some of them just send the worst message possible imo.
  8. Oh well, that's a deal breaker for me. Currently on Win10 I have no noticeable lag, although I remember doing some tweaking years ago. I play mostly during the night, so an amp is a no-go. Strange thing about your laptop. Do you use the usb headset with it? Yeah, I tried a similar thing with JACK on Arch some time ago, and the lag was still too much for my taste, although better than on default ubuntu. I'm just gonna give up on trying to make this work until someone tells me they have a zero-lag setup working (not holding my breath).
  9. Hey, which distro is that? Did it take a lot work to get RS working? Last time I tried it on linux I couldn't get rid of the lag.
  10. The bridge part is tricky, but I suspect I'll have no choice but to grind it out to 100.
  11. I'll start with some bass sight reads.
  12. While it's not something I'd listen to, it's very fun to play. So I typed it into youtube, and it turns out it's some sort of musical cartoon with vocals done with some form of text to speech software. @ coldrampage Can you please explain what this is? I am kinda confused.
  13. You might have posted the wrong picture there.
  14. Let us know how it went when you get back, esp. the Mercyful Fate show.
  15. I don't think I can learn this solo in a week.
  16. @ avastreg Now the fun starts, the last 2% are always the hardest.
  17. Well, all I can say to that is keep on doing what you're doing. But if you ever consider posting something on a less grim occasion, don't hold back.
