At least I went above 90% at HOPOs 2.

So after some fooling with Rocksmith, checking some cdlcs, I got emulated bass My Generation score Begginer Bass - 93%, 219 streak: http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/3318337467277598805/0DE9646A5F5EF4626A54D5D1BA168A1A604E753E/ I was thinking about getting cheap bass, but with my lack of time currently - dreams can wait. It's quite warm here, so I got tired pretty quickly and had no time to practice The Trooper. I played Lead once and was very satisfied, I felt like maybe even 90% can happen but it ended with 85% and slightly better streak...

I think that you can always play in class you want, your score will simply be not taken into account. You can always try to get 100% or play in Master Mode, what can make your name being honorably mantioned by Joey (aka Krazyone). I will try to learn as much as I can and I will probably focus more on rhythm (I don't think that I'll try to learn this solo, maybe try to get hand in it, so I'll be able to play like 2/3 of the notes). My latest run were ofcourse a little of mad picking, but some RR and I'll be getting better at playing the way it should be played. And what is expected - next class will always be too difficult at start but it will only help to improve. I remeber when playing Guitar Hero, I felt that I should get 5 stars (max) on each song before going for Hard. Black Widow of La Porte was giving me hard time, so I jumped into Hard and my skills improved in no time.

I see Song Selection List as perfect place to share what musical taste I have, what music and bands I'm fan of. Surprisingly most of cdlcs that I'd downloaded are above beginner level. And some of this official songs are really great. I can understand that someone does not agree with me. I personally would never play Green Day but I would try this System of a Down song that is in RS2014 (Hypnotize?) which I never tried before if somebody would select it for Championship. After all I would never heard about Metric if not for Championship :)

When I want to play song I want to play exactly what guitarist is playing. Don't Fear the Ripper by Blue Öyster Cult is perfect example as both Lead and Rhythm parts has solos in it. While it was fun to have everything in one place in Guitar Hero series, I like to know what to expect when playing Hetfield's ot Hammet's part of the song. Besides one of my favorite solos from The Day That Never Comes is when they're playing it together, on both guitars.

Isn't The Trooper too difficult for Intermediate? Or am I just so weak? You seen this solo? This bends? (My head explodes) That's one of my favorite Maiden's song but still it's tough.

Bad luck. I did not even hoped that I'll be able to do sth like that. It saved few days of getting where I was. Be happy on new way of life :)

If you're using Windows 7: Right-click on Remote folder (with your RS saves) and try "restore previous version" (or sth like that, I don't have english windows). You should see previous versions of that folder. You can't restore it, but you can open the folder and copy your save file. It fortunately worked for me today. And yes, I did not selected any restore thingy on my windows 7 (Technically I can't restore the file, but I can open it, see it, copy it's content - it works the same, so I don't know what's the difference).

Not many INT rhythm scores so here's mine: Intermediate Rhythm - 96.89%, 68 streak http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/3318337467136980188/24AC0C9B9901DC37EAA398110E8DB9EF35B8ACEE/ That was not really hard, did not even tried Riff Repeater this time. I had some bad time with power chords, this run was really the most fortunate. Close to 97%, but I don't think, that I'll try to beat this score.

After Riff Repeating, and then few runs at Score Attack I got: Beginner Lead - 98.43%, 250 streak http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/3336351318536370023/86C32704EEDAFD28C7BEEA54068AD60490957565/ So good score (mine first 1mil :) ) mostly thx to perfect solo. I took few minutes off, played Heart Shaped Box, and got back: Begginer Lead - 98.88%, 259 streak http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/3336351318536415972/1A23B43DE19033C372416E8FB696FAD116109C7F/ Oh, this sliding chords. How I was cursing while RRing them, hehe. But after few Score Attacks I got them well. I was missing every time there was 5 red yellow blue into power chord at 2 yellow. One mistake at solo and missed this sh**ty 2 red yellow blue and I would get above 99% . This was done with older version, will try tomorrow new one. Overall only solo and palm muted C5s makes me happy while playing this song.

I increased my tuning speed when I started to constantly (fast) pick string while tuning it. Now it's fairly quick. edit: "Still can't do the ending though, 80% speed is ok 90% is hard and 100% my fingers and brain just give up lol." @@Collision try increasing by 1 or 2 %. 10% can be too big jump on higher speeds.

Phew, I was afraid that I will have to jump to intermediate (though I not fear the challenge, as it helps to learn), as I still have lots of basics to learn. Haha, I remember James Hetfield saying that he don't know tabulature, he simply plays. When first time I saw tab-like (inverted) view I was quite confused, but it passed quickly. Using normal view was really natural, exactly what I expected (Guitar Hero experience?). To think about it, I would be very confused seeing inverted and trying to figure out WTF is happening.

Mercyful Fate was done for 2014? How could I miss it!? Anyone planning on re-doing it?

@ Yes, lessons are really cool, bad thing that Nonstop-play is so fun, that I'm not doing much else :P Guitarcade is also very nice (though I got to top100 in DuxRedux few months ago, never got better result since). Hehe, and I don't like competing. But I want to be able to play Metallica stuff, so I'll keep working on. And it's funnier with great people, like you guys (ladies), around.

Had not much time to play and like Flannathir that chord changes are killing me.

@up You can participate in Lead, Rythm or Bass arrangements at the same time but only one song per arrangements (one for Lead, one for Rythm and one for Bass). S&M For Whom the Bell Tolls is intermediate, no doubt about that.
