Let us know your opinions on the accuracy of the difficulty scores (1-10) for this weeks songs.

 

I can contribute a lot of songs to the song list for bass, but can not find the link anymore. Only one I could find lately is the 2014 post! It used to be posted at the bottom of the new weeks songs and results. In my dazed confusion of 10 hour work days for 6 days last week I never posted my scores. I know it does not count.

Don't know what levels where givin to these songs but I think they are off...

Wow.  This song is harder than I thought it would be.  This is the one thing I don't like about RS.  I may have gotten 97%, but I would've been booed off the stage.  My playing was terrible.  Hmmm....

 

Love this selection.  Did not go to well tuned to E.  However, I doubt it would have went much better tuned to Eb.

 

Can't seem to find my drop pedal thing.  However, just tuned my Ibanez to Eb and it is holding up pretty well, may stay here for the next couple of weeks and see what I can learn of this song.  The proper tuning got me past the first part and then...well...

Got some work to do.

I have created a worksheet to enter scores for this week. Ratings for Lead & Rhythm paths based on my own plays. Bass ratings based on comments by @diceslinger & @Orkkongen. I will try the Bass later.

After a bit more practice, it seems I begin to understand the Beach Boys. First I've got a new score for U2. It's not perfect, but getting closer:

And then the Beach Boys. They got almost all my attention today. And it is a tough one. I think it's more difficult than the Foo Fighters... But as I said, with a lot of focus and attention my playing in this style has improved. 🙂 It's a fun song, but not easy. It'll get even a bit better.

The advanced song is also fun... Though I can't seem to get the small slides to work (it's  lot easier to let the hand stay put). And the jump to fret 13... forget it! I'll take it on yellow 8, thank you very much. 🙂 From now on it'll get a bit more attention.

Thin Lizzy has still not been tried... 😞

Definitely a harder week. I agree with the sentiment that the Foo Fighters song is easier than the Beach Boys.

Once the kid gets out of school and I can take some time to nail these down. My issue with the BB song is moreso the speed than the variety of notes. It's an easy enough shape to remember, I just need to keep up with the tempo of the song.

for me; "i get around" seems like a ~6.5, "bad reputation" a 7, and "jato unit" *probably* an 8

As others have pointed out, this one is more advanced-level...6ish:

White Limo is probably the track I most enjoyed playing in this list...I'd probably rate it a 5 in difficulty:

Bad Reputation is challenging in the sense of making your bass sound good given all the palm mutes, but in terms of Rocksmith score it's nowhere near MC...I'd give it a 6:

And then there is this beast which feels like just one more guitarist showing off with no real musical vision..at least it's not boring but I find it tedious, won't be playing it again:

instant platinum, i´d say 5.5 a lil easier to score, but harder to make sound right than white limo

 

 

 

 

 

 

gog track is a 7, some 4 stringers might not like the tuning, it is clearly done for a 5-string. as i play fingerstyle only on bass maybe that helped

 

I´d suggest the following order for that weeks bass:

(INT) White Limo 5.5
(INT Bonus) Thin Lizzy 5.5
(ADV) Beach Boys 6.5
(MC) The Gog Song 7

and we only would need a MC replacement if there are complaints because of the tuning.
