Just throwing it out there; "She Wolf" seems to require more movement and quite a bit more endurance than a typical 5.

Easy to remember the riff, but not easy to play for 3 mins.

I was wondering what people would say on that one.  That is why it is a bonus selection.  I scored worse than the Masterclass song on it, but it looks so easy and repetitive.  So what would you rate it?  

personally, I could understand this as a 6.5 or 7

Fun song.  If this is a "3" I feel like last weeks can also not be a "3".  Either way, here is my first attempt.

I'll gladly give credit to @Orkkongenfor his dedication and persistence, but at the very least I would appreciate some clarification on the deadline for posting scores. Two weeks in a row @Orkkongen posted scores that leapfrogged mine at the last possible moment, and this week I believe it was after 7pm CET, which I thought was the deadline. 

I mean, it's one thing to play a song 7, 8, 9 times to get your scores better, but it's another thing to post those scores at the last moment when it's not possible for others to improve their own scores. I don't really care to compete against that, it won't be enjoyable for me, so unless we can tighten up the rules I'd rather just move up to Advanced and take my losses fair and square.

I must admit, I haven't heard about the deadline (but looking it up now, I see it clearly 😉 ), except when the next weeks competition has started. It's not intended to "leapfrog" anything.I was just lucky with my play through at this moment. Usually I wait for the next day with posting, due to the slowness of this webpage in the evening, but saturday I post it more or less "live", due to the deadline. 😉

Please notice, that I live in Europe, so 7pm CET is prime time for my playing. 🙂 On the other hand I seldom start the new competition until Sunday evening.

Been out of action for a week or two.  Time to get back into the swing of things...

 

 

 

 

Had a minor try on this weeks songs. Forgot to make screenshot of Deap Vally, but had some fun with Def Leapard.

And then came the She Wolf. WTF?! I'll have to practice those octaves all week. I had no flow, and played it at half tempo... and still with a lot of mistakes. 😞

But I got lucky with Daft Punk... but I think it was due to... well... luck. 😉

Had another go. The She Wolf is really hard (for me).  Now I managed to get through at 80% speed... (with only around 100 missed notes). 😛

But Deap Vally was okay:

And Def Leppard went also quite nicely. I can do it better... but it's only monday. 🙂

And again I got lucky. I think, if I can get around 95% right, then it's not 8 in difficulty. It doesn't sound very good, but I have a feeling of the song...

I got a higher score on the beginner song, but none of the other stats are better.  I guess I need to read thru the rules to see which is better!

Thought I would also try out the Intermediate song.

This was rated an 8 last time it was played, but I like a 7 rating for it.

I gotta get some opinions from y'all on these song ratings.  I've only been doing this for a few months now, and I haven't really been playing Lead parts at all.  I'm trying it out this week since there's no Beginner Rhythm.  Is the scale run in the middle of She Wolf really considered Easy Lead stuff?  I've been in riff repeater for like three nights straight trying to get that one section down and I'm all over the place.  I can't get above 50% speed without losing it. 

But, this took me like 6 plays of the song start to finish tonight - it's just a bunch of power chords:

 

🤷‍♂️ I dunno!  Seems like everyone is having a blast with the bass songs this week, maybe I should shop for a bass instead 😆

Getting a little better...

I must admit, that the She Wolf is really pulling teeth... Now I managed to play it at 95% speed with only around 50 misplaced notes. So tomorrow I'll begin playing it at tempo.

Today (and with yesterday) I only managed a slight improvement on Def Leppard... and only on the Score and the Streak. But I'm stille happy about the Accuracy. It's okay. 🙂
