Let us know your opinions on the accuracy of the difficulty scores (1-10) for this weeks songs.

I'm not sure which one is over/undertiered but these felt like a very similar level of difficulty on bass (I enjoyed both in any case):

 

Also I'm enthused to try AJFA full album at some point.

If a score is done in Score Attack (SA) it scores with the .xx

If it´s done in Learn a Song (LAS) only the full % of accuracy can count cause it may differ from the big Mastery Number

in the video Rocksniffer is in the top right corner displaying the decimal percentage, does that not count?

Instead I've begun practicing the Danish song (yes, Volbeat is a Danish band 🙂 ). It's a bit tough, but when you get the idea it's playable... more or less at my level.
But I've wondered about the difficulty levels for the bass path. 4, 5, and 6. Aren't they all supposed to be at the intermediate level (1-3 beginner, and so forth)?
I also tried the Disturbed one... it's very disturbing. And I think much harder than Volbeat. At least 7.

Had the same... thought it is only me as nobody else called any issues 😉. Repair in Rocksmith Song Manager worked though, so you should try it too.

I love these two though... such a fun to play and great songs... but there is always a note or two Rocksmith thinks i miss sowehere...

 

Bass is fun to play too...  Don't have much time to make 100% on it... i tried in learn a song mode few times, but every time there is a single note I miss somewhere on the line...

 

Also, just for fun of it, i have played intermediate rhythm this week as I really like the song... got to whooping 96.82%! It would be more but for whatever reason Rocksmith in loosing recognition randomly for me... I don't know if it is just my play (strumming too strong and distorted, missing bits, or what...) or recognition sucks in cords with my guitar...

The song is not as simple as it might seem...

this is also more like a titbit rather than competition entry. I just wanted to check how good (or bad) I am 🙂 

i have started learning guitar on these... MY HANDS JUST HEART!!!!!

I skipped whole intro for ONE as i never could even start learning it and also all arpeggios... well.. skipped them 😉 i am too lame for it...

I did... and then my NoCable-thingy stopped working. But now I uninstalled the CFSM, and now RS works (with NoCable)... and since I did "fix" the file before uninstalling, the song also works. 🙂

But I must admit, that is a bit stupid way of making things work. But hey, I can practice the songs now... 🙂

This is the exact same chart with all the note positions in the same place, it was just pitch shifted with Song Manager. I can PM you a link to it if you desire.

So the whole song sounds a few notes higher as well?! Impressive. No thank you, I'm not going very far with this song anyway. It's out of my league. 😉

That's fair enough. The reason I usually do this to songs lower than Eb standard is to substantially lower the chance of correct notes being counted as misses.

I was thinking that it would be useful if someone wrote up a tutorial on how to do the pitch shifting with Song Manager.  I hate to see people not want to play songs in low tunings, but I get it why they don't.  

First playthrough, I wasn't very familiar with Metallica songs either (other than One because of GH3)

Meanwhile, after nearly a week off playing, my hands are absolutely shredded after playing AJFA in full on bass. Final Score - 97.31%

I need to fix my game, score attack's started crashing.

Sync is a bit jank on this one, at least on bass.

Hey Dice! Had a walkthrough at that cool Kiss song. When i heard it so many times at my morning coffee i felt the dark soul under that happy screaming cloak. I´m happy at the recording it could be easily brought to light.
I recorded a clean guitar line based on the original, didn´t change anything in the song structure here. Then recorded bass, recorded the Drums on Cajon (but skipped those for the drummachine (cause in the end i just forgot to change it), i think its ok) recorded vocals, as those deviltounges are going together on the chorus - of course i doubled myself there too, did a bad solo (the one in the song is so ridiculous). Doubled the guitar and put distortion to one of the tracks - rookie mistake recorded the "dry" signal with a bit too much reverb which gets the amplification well.

Will learn on acoustic also, really like that devilish song.

Nice!  I noticed a few new steps.  First, you recorded the bass part, nice touch!  Second, the doubled vocals on the chorus, it seems you are trying some things out with mixing.  What are you using to do that?  Is it a fullblown DAW or something you can do with your Trio pedal?

Very nicely done.  I'm amazed that you heard the song one day and had it ready to perform the next.  You really are getting better at understanding the song structure to turn them around so quickly!  Your solo fit in well I thought.  I wondered if you let the notes at first part of the solo ring out longer that it might feel more cohesive.  It felt like a lick, then a rest, then another lick, then another rest, then the solo got serious.  

I'm pretty excited, I'm signed up to take a university course in audio recording technology this semester.  I'm hoping it will help we take my recordings to the next level.  I'm hoping it won't slow me down too much with our challenge, but it is clear which one of us is the speedy one 🙂
