Let us know your opinions on the accuracy of the difficulty scores (1-10) for this weeks songs.

Yay, let´s start the new year with a collection of great songs, quite some have already been there in week 50, but there is a new version of Octavarium now also, so we can have the whole God Of LRB competition on it. I think our man @Nacholede will like to see that.
There is a great new version of Calicfornication by @firekorn now, that made it to the week too.

In the Maiden Song we have all 3 guitars played - watch out! Those are rather easy, but the solo sections pump it to MC. We can argue if the Adv song is harder or if all is good, lookin forward to that. I based the order on our ratings from the past.

Nice choices! But for the GoG (If you guys want) we could play the AJFA full album for the next couple weeks. Would be cool to have another full album played for the championship

A question, is it still a valid submission if I play the bass part with emulated bass?

@Rodman Pedro was roughly .15 higher than me on bass, so I am sure he would appreciate you fixing that whenever you or another organizer can.

Since I love this song so much, I wanted to share my scores for all 3 arrangements (If I had a bass, I would have shared that one too)

Technically you won - because @pedropmf is still in ADV Category - so he cannot win MC. The MC song was a 6, on a 7 he would have been auto-upleveled with a score of 99.5+ ....

He still can decide to level-up and take the win - Pedro - you stayin in ADV or grab that pot from the MC hands of the Wizzard?

I improved my Rhythm score to 85%, which was the highest result for the advanced class. I posted my score before the opening new championship week and more than an hour before the deadline, but it was not included.

Hey no worries - enjoy ya vacation, then go back to week 375 and kick my soak up version!

@Rodman I really enjoyed your rendition of Soak up the Sun.  Every time you came to the line "I.......am going to soak up the sun" it cut through everything and felt like you were speaking directly to me.  I feel like the style really created a connection to the listener that way.  I really enjoyed it!

 

For my rendition, I finally got my lead singer scheduled 🙂  and paid (she accepts candy canes thankfully)  We spent a fun couple of hours recording takes until we had a good one.  I put a bit of reverb on it, put a tone on the guitar with Bias FX and here it is!

Oh... cool version, really good playing that carries it so safely all the way. All parts, fat on the chorus. Cool.

The tone well adopted to the vocals, bravo - real fine production!

 

 

Mine was a real small one. For the ending of the year i just wanted it the way i started the whole thing. Guitar and me. I bought the dlc, played it a few times, the next day sat down created an arrangement and while doing that i did a testrecord - and that 1st try sounded so well, i decided it would be it.

Then i recorded vocals and realised that the song also could have been meant in a total different mood, really fitting the hone year, and also there the first try was it.

Next day i went snowboarding with my wife and kids and took the picture. Great you like that strange version.

 

I know its my turn.... hmmm ... havent thought about it... lets go ... Oasis - Wonderwall!?
