Why songs don´t show up : 3 reasons - in order of descending probability.

 

1.The download was not complete. For whatever reason, and the psarc file ended up corrupt, reload the file 

(overwrite or remove the previous)

 

2.The song name collides with another song. (Import in Toolkit, change name, regenerate) 

(overwrite or remove the previous)

 

3.The Id number collides with another song. (very rare, import in toolkit, change a number in the 2 Id for each arrangement

(overwrite or remove the previous)

 

2. + 3. may happen with separate DD and non-DD files or multitrack. 

 

I have no known issues of limited number of songs,

2.000 take 2-3 minutes to load,

the probability of issues 1 & 2 increases.

 

I never had to reapply the AppID.

 

Problem of too many files : You can't see "the Trees" in the Forest.

 

Keep songs organized in subfolders with names like : best playable, favorites, RS1, classics, new, test ...

Move the Folders out of the DLC folder, and they won't be listed.

Removing temporarily the original RS2014 songs (song.psarc) is useless as they remain listed with no icons and selecting them

makes RS crash. Obviously.

 

You may automate the process with a program like "batchrun", 

To create a shortcut "RS New" which before starting RS moves only a folder you named 

"new" in the DLC, to test your new downloads.
