Playing Led Zeppelin on bass

Uncle Waldo

Question

Hi, I'm a bassist, low intermediate level I think.

I am a fan of led zeppelin since I was a young boy ( now I'm 51 ) and I started playing bass, almost from zero, two years ago.

Of course, soon I tryed to play my favourite songs on my bass, but i got frustrated, 'cause I found they are very tough to me.

I gave up the idea and if I hear the name of JP Jones I feel scared.

Can someone advice me about a list of songs from LZ starting from the most easy?

hey mate, unfortunately, most of JPJ's lines are not easy. That's why I am addicted to them.

I can play Ramble On and What is and what should never be and The Ocean....it only took me 34 years to get there, hang in !

Off the top of my head, try Heartbreaker, Living Loving Maid,Communication Breakdown. I think they were the first I learned all those years ago with the Led Zep Complete for piano book, trying to transcribe those notes below my E was a pain hehe

PS try Dyer Maker too.
