Question

Hi, so I got Rocksmith over the weekend. I have a late 2013 Retina Macbook Pro with latest yosemite update installed. Since the MBP doesn't have a drive, I had to install the game through steam. I figured i would use a mini display port to hdmi cable to hookup my computer to my tv (a few of my friends have Rocksmith on PC and they all play connected to their tvs). I do this often so I can connect without any issue and mirror my screen on the tv. The audio output is set to the tv (Panasonic TV) and videos, music, streams, etc all play fine with both the video and audio properly playing over the tv.

However, when I open Rocksmith, the video will output fine over the tv, but for some reason, the sound will come out of my MBP (even though it's selected to output over the tv in pref > sound). Since the audio is suppose to be output to the tv, I have no control over sound and it's actually very low, almost impossible to play.  I don't know if the playing experience is different playing through Steam as I cannot minimize the screen and can only switch programs and check audio output. Has Anyone encountered this issue and / or have any idea how to fix?
