How can I get my PS3 to see psarc file?

998Pilot

Question

I'm diggin folks so I'm sorry if I overlooked the post for this.

I'm trying to get a file that I downloaded from here (after spending about 5 hours trying to make one of my own ;) to show up on my thumb drive in my PS3.

I suppose I'm looking for a number of answers:

1. Is using a CDLC only possible if I rooted/hacked/jailbroke my PS3?

2. Where do I find XML for song tones to a particular song that i'm trying to make?

3. Has this already been posted in a sticky somewhere and I'm too stupid to find it?

I really want to start making some of the songs that I think should be on Rocksmith, but I don't really know wtf I'm doing software-wise.

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes, ps3 must be hacked

2. Use your favourite tones from other customs.  When making custom song in toolkit, in tones section hit import and point it directly to the custom (.psarc) that you want to use.

3.  At least you took the time to type that you'd looked :D
