Hey guys,
I'm starting a new project (again). This one's all about the good ol' 60's and 70's R&B/Soul from Studios like Motown, Hot Wax, Invictus and Co.
Because I'm trying to get more things done in less time, I'll be focusing exclusively on bass and won't bother with any guitar arrangements for the most part. All bass parts are personally transcribed by myself however, so as to ensure they are as correct as possible.
I'll also release songs in 3-packs from now on, so you'll get more songs at once but you'll also need to wait a little longer for the next release.

I won't put up a list with the tracks, so it's going to be a surprise when it comes out, but I'll always give the pack a title beforehand and provide some clues to the content.

Enjoy, guys!

This weeks 3-pack will be the first single artist pack and it's titled "Rising Starr". It will contain 3 easier songs again but I already had them transcribed, so I'm releasing them. Next week it will get a little more challenging, I promise. :)

Pack #2 is now available. Pack #3 will be released around this time next week and after that there will be a special Christmas release. Enjoy.

This weeks 3-pack will be released on Friday, is called "Troubled Relations" and contains songs from The Temptations, The Isley Brothers and Aretha Franklin. Clues to the songs are in the OP.

The Christmas pack is now released. I wanted to post it a bit later but I'll be so busy in the coming days that I don't have time and I'll be at my parents place for Christmas, so I won't have access to my files.
Anyway, merry Christmas to you all and may you enjoy those gifts I brought you.

I hope it does. It's certainly my goal to constantly improve and deliver even greater stuff than before. Let's see what the new year brings. :D

From the frosty Motown Christmas Hits to the hot rhythms of Afrobeat/Fusion legend Hugh Masekela (who also was under contract with Motown for a while): Pack #5 is available now and even if it doesn't quite fit so neatly into the project as everything else up to now, I still hope it satisfies your need for bass this week. Enjoy.

Another Afrobeat pack for this week's release (I wish I could change the title of this thread to reflect the expansion of genres  ) and at the same time the start of my Fela Kuti Discography Project. Nothing difficult about this at all but a lot of room (and time) for improvising and having a great time.

I'm not sure how regular my future releases will be but I try to get something out at least all two weeks or so. I also try to do work on some more challenging stuff.

Pack #7 is out now. Enjoy some classic Gil Scott-Heron tracks with some amazing bass lines by legendary studio musician Ron Carter. Links are in the OP as usual.

Fyi, I honestly think these are my best customs yet. ;)

Pack #8 is out now and it's the first of possibly three Wilson Pickett packs that I'll release in the course of this project.
The other two probably won't come immediately but eventually. I want to keep things fresh. http://www.customrock.net/Forum/images/smilies/icon/biggrin.gif

Pack #11 is available now. Three funky songs by the Isley Brothers + one of my favorite medley covers of all time; one that I actually prefer over the originals. :D
