  1. this is a good suggestion but the problem is when you have clean and distortion alternating... do you have a footpedal or something like that? do you quickly press on keyboard/joypad to change the tone? I only have an audio interface at the moment, no amp o ABY or something else
  2. I tested both guitar and bass part for a previous selection but didn't noticed it (I think I'm biased by emulating the bass with the guitar, so maybe it's because of that) improved mc lead
  3. ok now I've paid my tribute! I agree with @ Rodman , the chart is slightly off and there's the long void at the end. Sorry for submitting the sloppy chart I didn't noticed or remember that PS: this song let me achieve my longest streak ever, I think (thanks to one note palm muting beats). High scores and streaks even if easy are always good for the mood!
  4. They have a unique style, but I liked more the other championship song some weeks ago ( @ Mikson you probably remember the name of the song) here there is margin for improvement but the quick slides between power chords are not my best On one of my favorite Kamelot songs I got 94, for me is unacceptable, I will give it proper attention later in the week
  5. Yep work, sickness and my child took most of my time I am RR a bit testament to be competitive, but that's your thing so I doubt to be a challenge this time
  6. ouch I didn't think a 4-chord song with no solo could be so difficult and I RR repeated it, doing it well till 75% I will abandon my goal of reaching 97% on Mindtraveller, got no other time to play and my arm is soared from the vaccine puncture done today
  7. yes I agree, fingering is weird sometimes score from yesterday, I'm close to my goal of 97%! but not right there
  8. As you like, I tried two or three things, and just found a quick low-cost solution that seems to work pretty well on the first tests. I can elaborate if you want. The longest (and most boring) part is the scraping of the forum, where essentially for a thread I need name and images' links (name/imageurl tuples will be ok) for all the pages of the thread. I know how to do it but it takes a while. Do you have something already made for that? Also @ kayteck @ Rodman do you know if some machine readable feed of the forum does exist?
  9. they are essentially basic chords, like A, E, F#, C#7 or 9 (the only one peculiar), F#/D, E and so on but it's very very fast, a lot of string skipping and with some extra passage notes
  10. Thanks, I'm not that far! And advanced is such a great class, always great songs, had a great time!! I started in April. And now let's return to suffer more I'm grateful for discovering the championship (even unfortunately so late) and how you are so inspiring by carrying on with it over the years with a very slick organization! Yeah, I don't even compare to Bottledpat. @ nlbsmglsk in reality i'm not even on your level, but I will play the same strategy you have with Bottledpat, i.e. persistence @ johnal I think we can duel pretty well, if it happens
  11. sorry I forgot to add that the lead track should be used for rhythm (because it's essentially a rhythm track). Updated the post
  12. @ Rodman I checked Falconer's rhythm and yeah it's more difficult because it was transcribed in E standard, so it's a bit of mindfuck when you play lead and then rhythm, because it's the same song but played almost completely in a different way (and the E std version is harder) PS: I tried Hook's alt rhythm and I think is a good high int bonus, what do you think? Can I add it?
  13. Done! I chose to put Hook rhythm as adv bonus because I rated it too low I guess and I needed a rhythm mc are u sure? I don't agree but I will check. Lead has rhythm and the lead parts
  14. lol sorry I made the tech mental jump seeing the scripts, the sheets and everything Now that I know I will fill them (and maybe I can try to build something to recognize scores if I find the time, then @ kayteck we will integrate it, in case)
  15. this is a great song! The only issue I found is that in the verse the tone is too low on volume, but it's acceptable, but I found it in sync. But maybe I haven't noticed it!
  16. Aren't they picked up automatically with some OCR recognition from screenshots?
  17. Thanks, I didn't know how to do it. I tried to add scores using the button but the sheet was empty and I noticed something was off , since also my 80% score on DT was not picked up, but I thought it was an issue from my screenshot. Winners updated!
  18. I love this song, and I think is also very fun to play. I will study it properly. Maybe it's more an 8 than a 7.5 (which was the rating I gave it a while back), mainly for the intensity (the whole song is pretty tight)
  19. Hi, new week will start later in the evening, probably after midnight (Rome time) Happy new year to everybody in the meantime!!!
  20. As usual, all selections are random, but looking at the quality and trying to keep the number of songs at minimum (so prioritizing songs with lead + rhythm + bass). This week no 9s or 10s in the masterclass (it happened with the randomness), and we have advanced and masterclass lead very close, so if you prefer we can switch them. Guitar ratings on both are mine so may not be accurate!

  22. screen from yesterday, the last part is killing me, it will need proper time and dedication (which I don't have). Outstanding Petrucci, both to hear and to play, and this is only one of the seven parts of the 23 minute song He has for sure a good memory
