  1. I have always been partial to Wacom digitizers myself. I guess it depends on what you are comfortable with. I will admit its been a goodly number of years since I had cause to use one.
  2. Well I doubt 90s Mix as over half of the songs you posted are from the mid 80s
  3. Anything P-Funk. Unfortunately Extreeme - Get the Funk Out has not been made yet. Will have to see if I can find a GP5 file ;)
  4. To all the CDLC submitters who have published exercise CDLC for the bass or that include basses a very heartfelt thanks. I was really bummed that Rocksmith 2014 did not include anything other than an arcade game for working on scales and such. Learning an instrument and knowing the scales is such an incredible help and should help with finger placement / and the ability to quickly move through the strings as you practice. Again many many thanks to all you guys.
  5. Epiphone EB-3 Bass in Cherry finish. On the truck for delivery today!
  6. RgR. Will do. Thanks again firekorn!
  7. Ok so after hours of trying I realize that while pretty decent at bass I completely suck at guitar and thus my charting sucks for the guitar parts. Thusly I will finish up the bass tracks and vocals for the CDLC I have started and will post them for others to enjoy. I would also like to open up the invite for anyone to add lead and rhythm parts to these CDLC tracks. I will be putting sub folders on my Google Drive where I have the CDLC stored for download but I am unsure of which files I should post. Should I post everything under my working folders? Thanks for any heads up.
  8. Im pretty sure there is no limit but be advised the every song you load takes up memory. I've got a lot of cdlc which I am considering moving out of the dlc folder and just moving the folder containing what i want to play before playing to lower the overhead. Plan on putting songs I have at 95% or higher into one folder and stuff below into another. Kinda a needs work and pretty dang good folder system
  9. Sorry man I dont speak or read whatever language that was in.
  10. Which Yamaha Mixer are you using? I plan on getting the AG-06 and throwing it into the mix shortly. As it stands now my audio comes out of my PC and runs into a Technics 7 band EQ then out to a pair of Mackie CR3s on the desk and a Polk Audio 10" Powered Subwoofer under the desk. Still need to get the Yamaha in and get it hooked up along with my pedals etc. Have thought about streaming but have been kinda lax in getting all set up. Most of my concern has been with audio. I too run my bass volume turned all the way down and when I play I use a Y Cable at this time to split out to RS RT Cable and to a standard instrument cable which is plugged into my Eden EC10. When I set all this up I couldn't believe the difference it made. Everything sounds so clean. If you have the same or similar Yamaha lemme know what you think about it. Sweetwater has a jamming price on the AG-06, like 2 hundy, and it does as much or more than many other similar pieces of equipment that cost a lot more. I've also thought about getting a MG10XU.
  11. Good News/ Bad News / The Other Good News / Meh News on Amarillo By Morning The Good News - I like the tune and decided to make it and found a GP5 file for it. The Bad News - The song is written and charted for a 6 string acoustic bass and the charting of the GP5 file is as fucked up as a football bat. The Other Good News - I have access to sheet music for the bass part and can read music so Im going to look at the notes and try and transpose it down to a 4 string version. The Meh News - This is gonna take a while so hold on to whatcha got.
  12. I have created 2 songs that have been requested in the submit a request area. I can't figure out how to annotate the request to show its being worked on. I also can't post in the Submitted CDLC forum area. How do I gain access to these areas? I posted the bass tracks in my workshop for testing. These are just the bass tracks, no guitar or vocals yet. want to get some input on the first couple so I know better what I should be looking out for.
  13. Had this tonight. The RS toolkit doesn't work with the new version of Wwise 2017 .X.X Download the last 2016.2. version and uninstall the the 2017 version and you should be golden. Worked like a champ for me.
  14. If I could get someone to check out the bass annotations on these that would be great: Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time Kid Rock - Born free Let me know if you Have issues getting to them but the shares should be open.
  15. Thanks Fire, that worked like a champ. Have version 1 done (bass only). Having some issues with the guitar part. Seems as though the GP5 file is missing a few measures here and there compared to the audio file. Trying to pick them out of the previous notes and add them in so the track matches the song. Much easier to do on bass hahaha. One thing to note: The beta did not like the 2017 version of Wwise but I could download the 2016 version no issues and then it built the package lickety split. You da man! Will post the .psarc in my workshop thread tonight or tomorrow evening. lol All jazzed up to create now.
  16. When it comes to ODLC, I realize that some didn't transition to 2014 due to licensing issues but if I were to buy say... Cheap Trick - surrender which was a RS1 title and the licensing was secured do these transfer over? I mean If I had to I could chart one for my personal use and not post it but I would rather buy the DLC from them and support the tool(never liked calling RS a game). Thanks all
  17. Current Projects: Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply (Yeah yeah but the wife likes it so yeah) George Strait - Amarillo By Morning Linkin Park - Heavy Posted Projects: Cher - If I could Turn Back Time Kid Rock - Born Free Firehouse - All She Wrote Sammy Hagar - I'll Fall In Love Again Future Projects: Roxette - Joyride
  18. Awesome! I may Add the track as a bonus track to differentiate it from the guitar/bass parts. Need to get a little more proficient with the tools to create CDLC first but definitely on my list of "stuff to do" Also many thanks for your assistance on this.
  19. Fire, I also made note of the end of your tutorial, which I know it says is incomplete, where it mentions a bass fix as well as the 5-6 string bass issue/part. I am primarily a bassist and while I own several guitars and want to learn to play them and am making progress I am a 4 string kinda guy. I have increasingly become more curious about 5 and 6 string basses. Haven't really played them but would like to start getting acquainted with them. My boss is a bassist as well and swears by his 5 and 6 stringers and as he has worked as a gigging musician for years I value his opinion. I assume there is a way to add 5 and 6 string bass parts to RS2014R tracks based on your section reservation? I also build my own instruments and have my eye on a 5 string kit I want to build but honestly at this point I was considering the 5th string as nothing more than a thumb rest until I get more familiar with the additional string. It would be super awesome if there were 5/6 string options for RS.
  20. Fire I also noted something while rereading your tutorial. You say to select the Guitar.ogg file in the creator. I however looking at the default text selected the WEM file instead. DOH! I will download the beta of the RSTK tonight and give it a whirl. At this moment its only the bass track for this particular song but I wanted to start with what I was best at. I can then move to what I am suckier at ;)
  21. Fire, I installed the latest version of Wwise and followed the instructions in the tutorial video to create the wem files. Could it be the version of Wwise? I did not see the option to download the version in the video but I assumed the Wwise software would be ok. I went back and fixed the non alphanumeric characters issue as well as a few other little snafus I had noticed and regenerated the song. Basically the same issue. I tried to follow the tutorials but the software has changed a bit as far as options and locations of certain options. I was however able to find most of the things in the initial setup. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  22. So I have tried creating a CDLC and everything went ok I guess until I put it in my RS DLC folder with the rest I have downloaded. I fired up RS2014R and the song is listed it allows me to select it and launch it but no notes appear nor does song play. after a couple of seconds it completes with 0% progress. I have a couple of ideas but here are my suspicions: 1) At some point I had changed the note colors on a failed experiment and cant remember how to set the note / string colors back to Rocksmiths colors. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but would like to have the colors correspond for simplicity's sake. How do I do this? 2) When i created the CDLC .psarc file I renamed the WEM files removing the string of numbers and letters preceding the .wem so it was song title.wem and song title_preview.wem. Could this cause the files to corrupt somehow? I still have the originals. 3) I had ignored some popups about the RS phrasing having non alphanumeric chars in them. I have sese corrected this as I found how to edit the names of the phrases. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a metric ton of stuff that isn't available here yet and would like to contribute the ones I want in my collection as well as ones requested.
  23. Thanks guys. That sounds like the issue. I haven't assigned them to anything. I will give it a whirl!
