  1. I guess you've played the old version... try the new one, all bends in verses on A string are half step, much easier and sounds better.there is no reason for full step bends since one octave higher there are also halfsteps. Yes I did - I read earlier in the week that there might be a new version coming... No time to play today, so I took the best I had on the old version. Doing a full bend didn't really make sense - it didn't sound right. Looking forward to a new week!!!
  2. I gave up a bit on the Clutch song - the full bends was not working for me. I do liked the crazy Japanese song - crazy fast and a lot of fun. Lead INT - 91.88% Bass MC - 99.5%
  3. Not much time this week. Here's my contribution to this fine competition... Bass MC - 96.97% Lead INT - 86.7% Rhythm INT - 95.46%
  4. Three rounds in RR - pretty decent (can do better with practice)... Bass MC - 92.32%
  5. Gosh - you've changed Bass MC also. I don't think that I can pull that one of that quick...
  6. Here it goes - after three rounds in RR.... Loved it! Lead INT - 98.51%
  7. Gosh - I was away from this on so many levels. Well, I'll try the Arctic Monkeys outside of the competition then... :)
  8. Not much time this week - away from town. Bass MC - 98.24% Lead INT - 83% I just didn't have time to get this one right. Also having some problems with the volume settings, either I couldn't hear myself, or I only heard myself. I spent only as much time needed to be above the 80%-limit...
  9. This weeks results. Lead INT - 93.23% Rhythm INT - 97.58% Bass MC - 94.51%
  10. Interesting round this week - going from an old song from the American Civil War to something that is more of a musical happening, with Latin text. I love this competition and enjoy learning about your musical adventures...! Here are my results: Lead INT - 98.43% Rhythm INT - 96.81% Bass MC - 95.66% BTW - I bow my head in respect for my fellow Bass MC competitors... :-)
  11. Yet another great week. Here are my results Lead INT - 96.47% Rhythm INT - 97.5% Bass MC - 96.4%
  12. Happy New Year to all of you! I hope that you'll have a great 2016 and that you improve even more with your instrument - this year I'll try to hook up with some other people and play together... :-) My results this week are a bit disappointing on the Guitar. I must buy a Guitar that works with a lower tuning for Locksmith - right now it's a bit like playing on the lottery. This song should be a solid 95+ percent - I couldn't even get trough score attack on the Lead - frustrating! Here are my results: Lead INT - 86% Rythm INT - 95.69% I am more happy with Bass. Geddy Lee is a personal hero for me, and being able to play even close to what he performs is a milestone in my musical development. Bass MC - 94.55%
  13. Christmas is still on, and my family is still in the house. Not much time for playing this week, at least not guitar. Here's my scores: Lead INT - 89% Rythm INT - 94.64% A bit proud of this one. I had to work for it and I really enjoy how the bass drives this song. Bass MC - 100% Merry Christmas!
  14. Here's my results for this week. Mr Jones is a great song, but i always have problems with recognition. The Rhythm part was also a bit to much - I love Rocksmith, but it is a train wreck when it comes to complicated strumming patterns where small changes are made between the strums. I didn't even bother to try to learn them - I played the chords and improvised myself. Pretty decent result any way... :) Lead INT - 92.15% Rythm INT - 81% Jocelyn Brown was awesome - the bass is really pushing the song and the slap is an important ingredient. Being a beginner on slap bass, I really had to struggle here - and I can admit that not everything was played as directed. Bass MC - 95,18%
  15. One week closer to Christmas and off to a traditional "Yulebord" (a variant of the Swedish smorgasbord - this will be an evening of herring and schnapps) with a lot of friends - tuxedo is on! The bass challenge this week was probably a bit on the low side. I was quite impressed how good my trusty Yamaha-bass still produced a, for Rocksmith, recognisable sound. I find it hard to play on such low tuning - it is like playing on rubber bands and I can't quite hear myself over the soundtrack. Here's the score Bass MC - 97.41% For guitar, this is a fascinating tune. Very soft and a bit odd. Some parts were a bit weird - I didn't really hear the line that I was playing (which makes it harder to play). Someday I will learn how to contribute to this community, either by suggestion changes or create my own CDLC. I only have to solve how I can do it on a Mac - virtual machine, mono or vine might help me. Anyhow - here's my score. Lead IM - 96.06%
  16. Yet another fun week. I believed that taking on a challenge with the name Jimi Hendrix associated to it only was a challenge for the guitar player - I was wrong. Pulling off some parts at a decent level, and other parts was an embarrassing stumble. Here is the result: Bass MC - 93,08 % Lead on guitar brought back some memories (yes, I am that old). A great tune! I had some trouble with the quickest part in the solo, partly due to the speed, but also partly due to the fact that I didn't really catch the musical idea - there was no "tune". It was more or less a set of notes on top of each other... Lead IM - 96,06% Finally - love Foo Fighters. Didn't put to much effort on this one... Rythm IM - 94,66% Looking forward to a new week of challenges - :)
  17. Another week and another wait for new challenges - come on, bring it on... :) Low tuning on the guitar always gives me trouble with recognition - I am quite happy with this result. Fun with a song in my native language - even if the text itself is a bit on the silly side (translation here). Here are my results Lead IM - 94.87% Rythm IM - 94.01% Bass this week - MY - SORE - HANDS!!! This is an interesting mix of work-out and music performance. I am not proud of the result, but I had to stop here. BASS MC - 81% Struck by low self confidence I had to go and test the Bass Adv. - just to see if I am even close to deserve to take on MC challenges. I think I will try to continue stay in MC (for now)....
  18. Challenging week. The MC Bass this week was really a 10 - that bass player is a magician. I can understand the joy in the video when they pull off this groove. The pianist is ecstatic! Tenacious D was fun, but I have no problem with playing the chords clear and distinct, but I suck at tempo and also struggle with recognition. First and last play through was not different in any way (and I played it quite some times). Another personal goal was passed this week - I love the joy and challenge Rocksmith gives me (this competition is included in this praise). My Scores: MC Bass - 88% Lead IM - 91,07%
  19. Posting a new set of results on this sad day. Most of the victims was doing something that most of us loves the most - enjoying music. This is for them... Nomeansno was fun and very, very quick. Not to complicated - only very quick. Bass MC - 98.66% The La Sera tune was one of those that looked soo easy when I bought the game - but I have always struggled with this one. This is the best so far. Lead IM - 95.54% Rythm IM - 95.03%
  20. Another week with a mix of joy and frustration. Joy about surviving another week in MC Bass and a descent score on IM Lead - and frustration over recognition in IM Rythm. It's a mix of "Perfect phrase" and red crosses - though I believe myself hearing and playing at the same level the whole tune. I believe it is due to strumming on a guitar that is tuned down to D (playing single notes works ok - look at my score for Lead) - that in combination with the Single Coil pick-ups on my Stratocaster (going up one size to thicker strings helped though)... I may have to expand my guitar collection with another guitar - now with humbucker pick-ups (or maybe some other technology). Any recommendations out there? I am looking for a descent price on the second hand market... :-) Now to this weeks result: Bass MC - 95.17% Lead IM - 97.59% Rythm IM - 92.44% Looking forward to new challenges!
  21. Another great week. I am always looking forward to next weeks challenge - meanwhile I spend my time playing some old school Boston... :-) Still struggling with recognition when I re-tune. I switched to new and thicker strings just to pass for Rhythm guitar. Here is my results for guitar: Rythm - 92.77% Lead - 92.4% For Bass I survived one more week on MC. It is a very quick and long one - my poor fingers. The red "x" is from the middle section, to fast for me at full speed. The octave jumps was also tricky, but I either pulled it off, or tricked the recognition engine in Rocksmith. Bass - 94.82%
  22. Back after a week of vacation in the nice and friendly country of Portugal (I missed my Guitar and Bass the whole week). I am throwing myself into the dark dungeons of MC Bass. It will probably end with dishonour and ridicule - but, what the heck. Here it is Bass MC - 97.98% When it comes to Guitar - I give up. It is impossible to get better recognition on this one. I am happy to do enough to stay in my level. Lead IM - 83.24% Rythm IM - 87.77%
  23. Short week for me - and next week I am on the road and can unfortunately not participate. But I'll be back to this great community. Love having new challenges every week. LEAD - 96.63% BASS - 99.86%
  24. Both interesting and frustrating week. This competition gives amazing insights to new music - never thought that I would play such a challenging bass made by a Japanese girl-band! The frustrating part is the recognition on "Cool Hard Bitch" - I don't think that I deserve that many"Miss" (or maybe I do). BASS (99,05%) LEAD (90,49%) RYTHM (92,27%)
  25. Great week with one of my favourite songs. I was a bit surprised to see Comfortably numb with one of Mr Guilmore's best solos in the Intermediate group - but I pulled it off at a decent percentage.... ADV BASS INT RYTHM INT LEAD
