  1. It will downtune by 1/2 steps and drop an octave. It can go from E standard to E flat with one click. It can go from Drop D to Drop C. But it will not do Drop D if you are tuned standard. It drops all frequencies consistently, but can't drop a single string.
  2. @SlaterTot8 Sounds like it could be the name of the dll file. Because you downloaded it multiple times it has the (3) appended to the file name. The file you put into the Rocksmith directory should be named exactly D3DX9_42.dll
  3. I went this route for 'silent' playing. Plugs right into headphone jack and they sound great, no lag. They have an open and closed model. Plus no headphone wire to get in the way. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TLT10S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  4. I also have experienced some CDLC that are DD, but start at 100%. If they actually are DD songs then you can go into Riff Repeater, select the whole song, drop the difficulty down to an appropriate level, then resume the song. From that point it should increase your difficulty just like official content.
  5. 35 too old? haha, I'm picking up a musical instrument for the first time in my life at 54! Definitely wish I would have started 20, 40 even 50 years earlier, but still having fun! It's a challenge and the learning is certainly coming slower than it would have at a much younger age, but it is still progressing. I don't ever expect to progress to the point of playing with a band or anything, I just enjoy being able to jam on guitar and bass with all these songs I've been playing on air guitar all these years. Love this site and appreciate all the hard work that goes into creating the content here.
