  1. Rust in Peace is a phenomenal album, I've listened to that so much it's incredible. What really makes me wish I was born earlier is seeing their sound checks from that period. To have seen the Rust in Peace line up must have been absolutely incredible.
  2. @@NoonyDeloony your image isn't working for me.
  3. Unfortunately that didn't help, that noguitar section seems to be automatically placed at the end of the song. I'm not placing any noguitar sections. I really have no idea what the cause of the problem is. None of the guides and videos seem to deal with this issue.
  4. I only have these errors. - Sections ==> WARNING : Section noguitar (264.421) doesn't start on the main beat of a measure (new time : 263.838)=> 2 ms- Phrase iterations as subsections==> WARNING : Phrase Iteration (264.421) doesn't start on the main beat of a measure (new time : 263.838) There is an empty measure at the end of the song, could it be that is causing the problem?
  5. @Shrioo It's not as bad as Jump in the Fire, it's not an incredibly fast or complex riff, the chorus and verse are pretty relaxed. The only bit that may be quite hard is the part where you're moving all the way up the neck. The solo doesn't look like a Masterclass solo either. I don't think it's too hard. Also I'll be "Angry Again" if I have to start learning a different song hahahahaha, sorry I couldn't resist a pun!
  6. OK I'm at my wits end with my second custom. My song is all charted and synchronised with the beat markers, it has lead, rhythm and bass. The problem I'm having is I inserted all the sections for each arrangement but for some reason when I try and select a section in Riff Repeater the note highway stops moving completely and under no circumstances will it start moving again unless I restart the song. Only the first section works for Riff Repeater, the rest don't. Could I be making a really stupid mistake? EDIT: Also I've deleted every single section and remade them but it has no effect. EDIT 2: Here's a link to the broken project. https://mega.co.nz/#F!OJEyESKR!xvstLGx20t_DzOoQJadCig Rhythm and Bass don't have sections as they were deleted, if we can get the lead to work then it should be the same fix for Rhythm and Bass.
  7. Since we're discussing Mustaines vocals what is your favourite style of his? I always loved the way he sung Lucretia, it always felt a bit different to the way he sings most of his stuff.
  8. Oooo, Angry Again, I like that one. Addicted to Chaos is also a good intermediate song. EDIT: You also put me in beginner.
  9. Nice scores everyone. I was hoping to spend a lot of time today working on mine but it seems I may not have a chance. I guess we'll see!
  10. I was hoping to get my second custom out in time for the next championship but due to Riff Repeater issues that won't be happening. Maybe it'll be next week, either way I'm gonna be miffed if it's my choice for intermediate this week. Though on the other hand I'd get to play The Clansman for a week, what a song!
  11. @ Yeah I've seen that before, I've had my guitar professionally set up and tweaked the action myself, it's perfectly fine. I play with my amp at the same time and I can hear the chord perfectly, it sounds beautiful! Sounds spot on! But Rocksmith just laughs in my face and tells me I'm not playing anything :(. Those chords are literally the only chords I've had note recognition issues with. The only way I can increase my chances of it being recognised is by playing early but what's the point in that? Then I'm just screwing up my ability to play the song for the sake of a game :( Anyway here's my first lead entry, got the main riff down but I'll need to riff repeat the palm muted section a little and the outro before I can get a better score. Quite a nice song, entertaining to play, I didn't think I'd like it. http://i.imgur.com/gRWx3PC.png EDIT: @@Mortalo You've got to at least like the Jackson King V and the Kelly! They're bloody gorgeous!
  12. For the love of god can someone tell me how to make Rocksmith detect those bloody F and G chords properly? They just outright refuse to register sometimes! It's not even a hard chord! http://i.imgur.com/Su9uZ5x.png Anyway here's my first completion of Score Attack, those F and G chords are really hurting me. I thought I was gonna struggle with the reggae muting but it's the game not recognising my chords which is destroying me. http://i.imgur.com/mjIn7BN.png
  13. Aids and Armageddon is a really weird song but I like it.
  14. Suddenly I don't want to work on Jump in the Fire anymore........maybe next year.......
  15. I'm with this guy, I appreciate why the Intermediate needed to be changed but I feel it would be extremely beneficial for me to work on it. EDIT: Also my parents are gonna hate me for trying to learn Aids & Armageddon, I can tell how much they'll hate hearing it hahahaha. They couldn't even stand to hear the instrumedly from Dream Theater's Live At Budokan hahahaha.
  16. I'm gonna take the pro Jump In The Fire side, my first week in Intermediate and after 30 minutes I can riff repeat the main riff perfectly at 80% and most of the time at 90%. After a week I reckon I could do it all really well apart from the solo, the solos do look difficult.
  17. @@Mortalo Wait a minute actually, if I haven't played rhythm in three weeks I could just jump straight into intermediate couldn't I? That seems like the best way to get to grips with the Metallica song.
  18. I predicted Jump in the Fire, as my first week on Intermediate I can honestly say I'm scared...... I think this week I'll mostly concentrate on getting 99%+ on the beginner song so I can level up my Rhythm and just try to finish Score Attack on lead hahaha
  19. @ @@Azrael I stopped getting chord problems when I moved to using my amp and Rocksmith at the same time, I set my cable gain to +9DB, turn the guitar volume off, calibrate with the volume knob low then play with my volume and tone knobs however I want. Maybe the gain needs to be much higher for certain chords to register properly and if you play with your own amp you obviously won't hear the horrible tone that produces in the game.
  20. @@tdudley It all takes time man, I'm into my eighth month now and I know the first month was really fast and this past month I've came on leaps and bounds but everything in between has been painstaking and slow. Stick with it and you'll be giving the masterclass players a run for their money. 81% isn't that bad anyway.
  21. Mine are good to go, though my masterclass pick may be on the easier side. Looking at the intermediate songs I'm feeling scared and nervous, it looks like a big challenge, hope I can keep up. At least there's always beginner Rhythm when I need a breather.
  22. I've always been interested in rock music and had the 70s and 80s stuff in my head most of my life. I think the ONE moment was when I was at my uncles and he put on his Rainbow DVD. I was literally breath-taken, I couldn't believe what was I seeing and hearing, the amount of emotional expression in an instrument blew me away. I didn't pick up a guitar at that point but took to Guitar Hero and Rock Band extremely quickly. When I eventually had money I made the jump in January and would never look back. This is particularly the song which is a huge influence of mine.
  23. Very happy with myself, I'm really sloppy at the bit where it goes A string -> Double stop E & B -> A + Double stop E & B. Wish I could get that down but I don't think it's going to happen. I guess I'll be intermediate next week! I think I'll be playing Black Sheep for a long time though, really fun to play. http://i.imgur.com/AMRUgCk.png EDIT: Also I can't bloody believe it, done my first master difficulty run, got 93.5% and my computer crashed while calculating the score! WHY U DO THIS?!
  24. @@Mortalo I think if you're gonna intentionally make it harder for yourself why not up strum everything? :P
  25. @@Mortalo I don't understand how someone could only down strum. It literally boggles my mind to think how some people can cope only down strumming. I strive to be ambipixtrous cause the stuff I want to be able to play one day requires it! One of the downsides to being a progressive rock and metal fan is that I instantly dream of playing hard songs :(
