  1. So for a barre chord you don't use your pinky? I always do use my pinky, but! I do curl him very weird, I don't make like a upward arc with him, but like an inward arc, it kinda looks weird if you start paying attention to it, but its just how my hand works. My powerchords or barre chords are correct so I never bothered do push my pinky any way else. But! :P for fretting my pinky is mostly useless, I do can use him if I need him in some solo's or scales. But if its easy enough I tuck him away behind the neck You can clearly see the powerchord pinky use and the lead fretting pinky use in this vid: Top is lead and my pink is behind the neck, bot is rythm and there I always use him for powerchords EDIT: I also noticed when I do octave chords, I don't use my pink :d As long as you can play at the speed you want with your 3 other fingers I wouldn't be concerned to much about it, if you do want to improve then practice the pinky movement, just alot of practice, start easy and slow, better correct and clean then sloppy
  2. Not that necessary in my opinion, alot of the lyrics warnings I click no-no-no, except the 'no default tone' warning is one I often need reminding of.
  3. Good point! So I updated, then immediatly tried resaving the lyrics, that didn't help at all, the XML had still equally missing. Then tried re-importing the lyrics, moving, resaving, that did help, the XML now has a good 95% of the lyrics. (note: I haven't fixed the ^ to ' signs yet) This zip contains everything I used in the projext, txt file, xml, mp3,... Allright, so updated EoF, re-imported, moved everthing in place, (this part fixed 50% of the lyrics) fixed signs, and then ctrl+m the last 2 sentences (those last parts were missing) now the XML contains all lyrics :) so my guess is: there wasnt any blue bars for the last 3 seconds of lyrics (moved them all back) that caused them to not export, the other blue bars don't really matter to me, cause it works in RS?
  4. I openend the XML and the first ~50% lyrics are good, then it just cuts off, text file is the imported file (for reference that there is more lyrics) (this is another example, here is more then the last sentences cut off) http://www.mediafire.com/download/neh2ajhm6yunfyx/PART+VOCALS_RS2.xml http://www.mediafire.com/download/n58q8b9llkb3jn8/The+Story+So+Far+-+Small+Talk.txt http://www.mediafire.com/download/kmve16mnj1jke9s/The-Story-So-Far_Small-Talk_RS2014.dlc.xml **the XML file says vocals count '205' while there are obviously more words in the txt file, the txt file is imported via 'lyric import' also note that these results are very variable, sometimes it works 100% good, most times 90%, lately 50% missing
  5. Guys guys guys, this doesnt make any sense. First of the reason why the blue bar isn't correct, is because I move the lyrics back 3 seconds (with CTRL+A, drag) So every word falls of its blue bar, also not showing correctly in the 3D preview, yet they do work in Rocksmith The rest of the song does work perfect.... look at video There must be another reason?
  6. Well the first 90% of the lyrics all work, so there isn't anything wrong with those blue bars or anything. For example (look at 3:37) https://youtu.be/XjE6JncZwGY?t=217 The lyrics end at '....Don't' While the lyric file has And this is how it looks in EoF:http://s2.postimg.org/964qyfoex/probl.png
  7. So I've been using Ultrastar creator all the time for my lyrics and then importing in EoF and adjusting them. Now most of the time the last ~2 sentences of the lyrics aren't shown in Rocksmith when playing. I have no idea why this happens and just accepted it, as it is only a few sentences. But latest songs I made have ~half of the lyrics missing. Does anyone have an idea why this occurs? Maximum word count? Error with some characters? To much sections?
  8. Sorry to bump this thread, but I just wanted to say that I used search 'Bonus Lead' to find a solution for this tuning problem, only to find out, I already asked this question one year ago... -Cmon brain start remembering stuff-
  9. Allright, thx :) the simplify chords function is quite the same as I use now, but the remove palm muting is exactly what I was looking for, couldn't find it, but this save alot of time :D
  10. So often when I make a cdlc there are no bass tabs available, but for *most* songs the bass tab looks alot like the rythm guitar tab, so what I do is select all, copy and paste in bass. Then select all, deselect single notes, clear orange, deselect single notes, clear blue, deselect single notes, clear yellow. now all the chords are reduced to their bass note. Also PM are almost not used in bass, in some guitar genres alot (the ones I'm making anyway) So now I still have to delete (make normal notes) out the PM, what can be alot of selecting work, following complex chug patterns. Also later on checking out the total bass tab offcourse. But now what I suggest is a 'Bassify' function in EoF that does this in one step. 1) reducing chords to their bass note 2) making all the PM notes to normal notes Or maybe 2 seperate buttons for this. I don't know if its possible to implement, but it would help out alot I think, maybe also encourage people to include bass more. Let me know what you think of it :)
  11. Oh allright I didn't knew that 'arrangement type' menu, its works fine now. Thanks! :)
  12. I want to make a Bonus Lead arrangement. I know I can use Part Real Bass 22 for this. But now I need it to be in Drop D, the tuning in de guitarpro menu is made for a 6-string bass I suppose, but anyway I'm having troubles getting the notes registered right in RS. What values should I put in the Guitarpro menu and what values in the toolkit? (for drop D)
  13. Hi, guys First off, I've been gone a long time, but I haven't lost my passion for making CDLCs yet. I do have a couple of songs ready, but they were intented for personal use. Lately I've started reading the forum again, maybe I'll invest some time in it... So, why I'm actually here. I want to show you a song, written and performed by someone I know. She has an amazing voice. If her song gets some more attention, I'm sure that will give a good motivation boost for her guitar/singing. Thx! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKTCzNlQTeo
