They are doing the same thing to Windows 7 users. In 2 days, Steam will brick if still using Windows 7. Windows 8 is shortly to follow. @ Nick Beat made the video, he normally fields Mac questions. make sure that there is no .dll in after re-install. (yes i know you said you already did that) and try just the base game, make sure that works before going forward and adding complexity of cdlc/installer/.dll

I would also have to know if you are using the newest version of Rocksmith (which you should be using) or the beta justincase version. If you are using the newest version, the .dll that is in the enabler on page 1, in the first post is the correct .dll, which looks like the .dll you have installed. Since you are saying that there is an error now at start up, personally I think your install is corrupted and should be uninstalled and reinstalled.

This is usually because you don't have the .dll or have the wrong .dll. do you have a 32 thread processor

Most of the physical copies come with the Real Tone Cable. If it does not, Yes, I recommend purchasing the Real Tone Cable. They were running about $25 (Amazon, eBay, most retail sellers). They are not in as great demand as a Key. There are other usb cables, but they require using an interface, and for someone not technically minded, will be overly complicated. The Real Tone Cable is much simpler.

Do you mean the .dll? if this is what you mean, you can scroll back and see just above where the Admin said that the enabler link is still working. You are welcome to use that. Yes, the activation key is for steam, will be linked permanently to your account. That is why you need a new key, and a used cd / dvd that someone has already redeemed that key will not work. Once activated as long as Ubi permits the game in Steam (does not pull the game) it will be available for download even though the game has already been removed from sale.

Buy from a trusted site, a site where you can get reimbursed if something goes wrong. I just put into google "rocksmith 2014" and then hit the shopping button, Amazon is still showing copies for $52.60 US. There are other things showing for cheaper listed as new, and others for more expensive. Another seller on Amazon is charging nearly $90. I can not and will not recommend a specific seller or avenue of purchase, use YOUR best judgement.

As it should. If the key has already been used, then the dvd/ cd is worthless. Depends what you mean by all over. The DLC that has lost its license/been removed from the Steam Store, well yeah, that is over. Cracks/hacks are forbidden to discuss on this forum. Then while you are still able to, purchase a new, unused dvd/cd before they are gone.

I swear you had typed that you downloaded a bunch of new cdlc. It is found where all the cdlc is found, the ignition link at the top of the page. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/

That is the only beta version that there is. Are you sure you put the newly downloaded cdlc in the correct folder. Needs to go in the DLC folder or a subfolder with in the DLC folder

If someone still has it and has a hosting service to post it or you can check the discord to see if someone can DM it to you. I do not know of an email service that allows it to be emailed. Email services see that it is a .dll, and sees it as a virus.

Not if you are actually still in the beta version. check to make sure you do not have 2 D3DX9_42.dlls in your rocksmith folder and if you did not overwrite the old one. they conflict with each other. you can only use one.

You will have an issue and a decision to make then obviously. If you have Cherub Rock, and the .dll version from pre updated somewhere, that is the one to use if you still wish to use the beta. I am assuming a lot here, but as you have been here a while ago I am assuming you may have that stashed somewhere unless you over wrote it. Your other option is to allow Rocksmith to update and use that version you just downloaded. Some will say there is no reason to not update, I personally like the beta better.
