  1. Any update on this? Im having the same problem. I found a custom that was mac only and it works fine, but any ones i convert just crash the program as soon as it gets past tuning What version of the Toolkit are you using?
  2. Backing up the folder won't do much good unless you remove the bad custom(s) and/or figure out what is causing your profile to be corrupted. Make sure you don't have any of the customs known to cause crashes that are listed here: http://customsforge.com/topic/4863-list-of-crashers-jammers-dead-toners-and-misc-problems/ Also, make sure you're not quitting the game while it's auto-saving your profile. It does this in between each song played, and almost every time you go back to the main menu. Quitting while it's saving will corrupt your profile.
  3. How many of them that don't work are your own customs? Have you tried repacking them with a newer version of the toolkit? The Muse songs all showed up for me, and were all playable. That version of Come As You Are conflicts with the unplugged version that I have, as both won't show up in the game at the same time. Not sure what could be causing the Muse songs to not show up for you, unless it's a similar issue as with CAYA. I'll keep them in my dlc folder and check each time I start the game to see if they disappear.
  4. @@Kiscsak98, that still sounds like a conflict to me. At least that's been my experience in the past. If you can let me know a few specific customs that won't work, I can try them out on my Mac. Finding conflicting customs can be a bit difficult as the conflicts sometimes happen in a seemingly random way. For instance, two individual customs may work fine on their own, but once they're both in the dlc folder at the same time they can cause a conflict with each other. I mentioned this in another thread, but it might apply to your friend as well. Some older customs that were created with a very old version of the toolkit don't always work on Mac. Sometimes getting the charter to repack them with the latest version helps, or having them convert it on their end. Also, there was a revision of the toolkit from a 3-4 weeks ago that was causing converted customs to crash on Mac. I've been using version v2.6.1.0-406125e4 with no problems and haven't bothered updating to any of the newer versions released yet (I only use the toolkit to convert files and to extract tabs).
  5. When you reinstalled, did you make sure you downloaded the official DLC that you purchased? Also, make sure you're using one of the latest versions of the toolkit to convert the songs. There was an older version that would not convert the songs properly. I'm using v2.6.1.0-406125e4 and it works perfectly for converting. Also, sometimes older customs that were created with very old versions of the toolkit will convert fine but still not work. In that case, try asking the charter to either repack it with the latest toolkit, or convert it on their end. @@thequietstorm29, the above may apply to you as well.
  6. Just to rule out some things... Did you friend actually buy Cherub Rock? (and not just download a pirated version) Is Steam/Rocksmith installed in the default location? How many customs are in their dlc folder? And are any of them from torrents, or are they all from CF?
  7. Here's the same set, all in one video:
  8. Hopefully my "Deluxe Signed Vinyl Bundle" doesn't take too long to ship after the release date :) I'll be excited for when they start touring too. They sound great live.
  9. Yeah, you can. There's no need to keep the PC file.
  10. If that's all it takes to get up on stage I'm gonna cry at every Foos show I go to from now on :joy:
  11. Check out http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/advanced_search.html If you look under the Genre filter you can select all sorts of different Indian genres.
  12. They played Aurora the first night in Toronto. It was great live, although the mix/soundboard set up wasn't as clear as the other songs. It was a bit muddy with all the guitar layers. You could tell it wasn't a song they play live that often. It was still great to hear it live though.
  13. Enjoy the show! Stand next to somebody taller than you and they'll take the lightning strike instead :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
  14. Sounds like you have a bad custom or one causing a conflict. Try removing all of your customs from the dlc folder, loading the game and quitting (let it enumerate the song list first), and then adding the customs back in small batches (5-6) until you find the one causing the problem.
  15. Check out the Tutorial section in the Help forum: http://customsforge.com/forum/78-tutorials/ However, unless you have a PC to use instead of your Mac, I wouldn't invest too much time trying to create customs. Unless somebody has figured out how to fix the problems it's not really possible to create customs on Mac.
  16. Another new Arcs song was released today: Sounds like it could have fit in nicely on Brothers.
  17. For the most part, all customs can be converted with the Toolkit. Sometimes older customs that were created with an older version of the Toolkit will fail to convert, but it's not that common of a problem any more.
  18. There are better, more detailed instructions on the first page of this thread that will tell you everything you need to do. That video is missing a few crucial steps. For instance, you need to purchase an official DLC in order to get custom songs to work. Cherub Rock is the recommended one to buy.
  19. Did you make sure your PC meets the recommended specs required to play RS? And did you try the different versions of the .dll and/or the patcher?

  21. That will be an interesting project. Before I bought my ES-339 I thought about getting the DG-335 in gold (they're only $3600 here) but I don't really like that finish. And like you, I just don't have $7K to spend on the blue one (I think it's overpriced anyway). If you do build one, post some pics of the build process. I'm interested to see how it turns out.
  22. Big moves at the trade deadline followed by a huge walk-off win by the Blue Jays, and a 3 pack of great Foo Fighters songs. It's like Christmas in July :) Thanks for the tracks. I'll give them a whirl tomorrow and leave some feedback.
  23. Thanks for that. Clicking on "Submitted RS 2014 cDLC" shows all of the cDLC that I'm following. I get nothing for any threads that aren't cDLC though. I'll have to do a check and see if I'm actually still following anything non-cDLC though.
  24. I was wondering the same thing. However, that link doesn't actually show anything. All I get is a blank page that says "Sorry, we could not find any content that you are following". Also, as was mentioned in another thread, I'm still no longer receiving notifications for updates to customs that I am following.
  25. Just picked up a Gibson ES-339 last week, to go along with the rest of my collection. I also have: a 2014 Gibson Melody Maker, a Kurt Cobain Jaguar, a Kurt Cobain Mustang, an Ibanez acoustic and an old 1996 Squier Strat (my first guitar).
