  1. @@Mortalo - i think i gotta take that 10min pill too, l8ter today... phhhh first play after selection checkplays http://i63.tinypic.com/14dhras.jpg
  2. Switched from iphone to android (Huawei Mate 7) Using Tapatalk. I am logged in to the forum with username/pw correctly. I can read everything and access the admin area, get the mod options of the topics. I cannot reply (sandclock takes forever) I do not get any notifications or push notifications which makes me a worse CS orga ;) - yes, the options are ticked correctly! I did reinstall tapatalk I did reinstall the whole firmware I did root the shitty device Nothing helps. Anybody any idea? Thx I don't like apple but their damn devices work as they should.
  3. Yes, but I've got the gold trophy, again. :D @ - exactly! @@missis sumner - exactly! :P That is an interesting case. Technically Oscar has won the adv class last week with a score 99+, levels up with that (so this week he is mc), and he has already taken place #3 in mc last week so he wears the bronze pick of mc, and cannot wear the adv pick. If you are to wear the gold or silver of adv (i feel silver if ruled like above) can be discussed.
  4. first playthrough after a year. i am happy http://i64.tinypic.com/2wflamv.jpg hammer song to play and e-std.

  6. Simplification is always an option. If we drop the 3x97% rule, which i am for cause you can uplevel at any point anyways, the question is can we find an easier sollution to keep track of DMH and downleveling than the rather time-consuming CCL. I think... downleveling: simple and fair would be just a single <=79% score with veto-right (you can uplevel anytime) would do the job combined with dropping the rule of losing your class after 3 weeks of non participating. So - what would be left to monitor is DHM only; i am a bit brainless atm but one of us will come up with an idea how to do that easily. What we shall not forget is that those tweaks are "luxury problems", the ruling and handling has evolved to a top notch level esp. thx @@Mortalo If we decide to leave everything as is i was gonna organise auto-maintainance of the CCL and DHM-list, though i fear not before summertime.

  8. We have (luckywise) a great number of new players that didn´t grow through our rules discussions and I have been aked p.m.-wise how the leveling-up is handled and why it is not always like stated in the rules. This needs a bit more explanation ;): ~ one year ago the rules were extremely strikt - so on the one hand achieving 99%+ once, or 97%+ 3 times in a row in your class, in a song with matching difficulty (this means songs that land in your class but the diff is below are ignored) automatically led to a levelup. We had repetitive situations where a player was pushed to a class s/he did not belong. And it led to situations were players wouldn´t post their final best scores (!) just to avoid the push. That led to discontent and loss of motivation. On the other hand when someone desperately wanted to level up to the next class and the wrong songs were chosen he just had to stay down. We all are a bit more laid back now. This is fun only and everyone should enjoy the CS at his level. The rules are interpreted like follows right now: - You can level up now anytime you want. - You can stay in your class even on a 99+/97+ 3 times in a row as long as it seems "your class" Still, the situation that is clearly to avoid is a player dominating a class because he is too good and doesn´t belong there! So everyone is watchful and basically it breaks down to: You can stay in your class on levelup scores as long as your classmates and those strange orgas let you. Cool to have you all in the battle.
  9. Also ok. I try not to trust “topic opens at.. “ options esp. when there are multiple timezones involved ;) But if its not up 6pm i can np do that from mobile...
  10. Very cool bands this week, RNG has been in a good mood. There have been a few posts and pm that MC class is missing the true challenge lately..... hahaha So we have a quadruple true 10 this week lead - 10 . rhythm - 10 . bass - 10 . minutes - 10. @@alb made a special shortened CS version to fit the limit - be sure to grab that one.

  14. for low tunings a gauge like this is betterhttp://up.picr.de/24627744dc.jpg the package of this is yellow, don't be irriated by the crappy camera colors Of course they are but if you play with only one guitar and dont feel confortable using fat strings all of the time the optima .11 or .10 would serve well. (I even have them on my low tuning jk-1 esp-ltd in .11 - .50 - no problem down to b-std. and i just havent tried any a-tunings ... i should play soad soon ... )
  15. ... So the problem is not caused by the brand, more the gauge of your strings. Generally you finger should always placed as close as possible to the next fret rod, not in the middle or the bottom of a fret. This way you need less pressure and the notes are sounding clear. For some reason one tends to press esp. the first and the 2nd fret too hard. Here is your fix: 1) Do place your fingers always close to the next fretrod (the finger may even touch it) as mightymighty @ pointed out. 2) Open your song, tune your guitar, press ESC 3) Now strum a few 100 of your desired notes / chords and monitor the "tuningmeter" down left. That way you can see how far you are off from perfect and can improve on your technique - esp. pressure applied. For the strings........ as @fripp said - its always you and its never the stringbrand. Still if you want a recommendation for longlasting wellrecognised standard tuning strings - http://www.themusiczoo.com/PDGImages/Ernie%20Ball_Regular_Slinky_646_A.jpg Earnie Ball Regular Slinky For low tunings (you need a decent guitar) very good strings that do not break at retuning to standard that last like forever are http://www.themusiczoo.com/PDGImages/Guitar_10_1.JPG Optima Gold .10 -.46
