  1. http://i.imgur.com/gQMa3ce.jpg I cry when angels deserve to die! This is one of the best System songs and it's awesome being able to do guitar karaoke with it. Thanks for saving the song, Nacholede. I haven't made my way back up from D land because I'm playing all these awesome Ghost songs we apparently have on CF. :D But when I make my way up I'll play these other ones a time or two. Also, I'm going to make a video this week! Wow!
  2. I love Chop Suey! Looking forward to a multitracks chart, @@Nacholede. I'm not a fan of New Metallica but I might play the MC track a time or two. ...Wait, B standard? I only have like... one other song to play in B standard. :sob:
  3. http://i.imgur.com/8ufLXqa.jpg Kinda off today. I feel like this should be an easy 100% for me. Maybe after I let it bounce around in my brain overnight! I +1ed all the songs I've played this week, but I know I can aim even higher still, so no screenies until I see a little more improvement.
  4. You 99.64ed Lead chart on What You Know?!?! Yeah dude, get your ass out of Intermediate and into Advanced, you belong here and we need members. Wait... did you capo?! To be honest, I think even if you can play all the melodic bits that well in What You Know you deserve to class up, but I'm interested to see what you can manage without just as a point of interest. I have a capo but even after finding out it's an easier song with a capo I still play it without.
  5. I like Testament. Here is a Testament score. http://i.imgur.com/cgRlh6q.jpg I'd say more, but I am Canadian and must eat turkey now.
  6. 1. You got it. Stairway on 9-12, wrap your thumb around for the E string. 2. Bar with your index and fret the 11 and 12 with your ring and pinkie. Takes some stretching - I kind of rotate my hand counterclockwise a little to get it sounding clean.
  7. New stuff!! http://i.imgur.com/XbgP1Ff.jpg Been forever since I got a pick in, it's about time! :yum: This is some good old catchy radio rock. Some tricky chords for intermediate, but all the melodic bits are easy ear candy. When I suggested this I thought it was a really good chart but actually there are a couple tabbing errors in the chorus and break, if my ears aren't lying. The sync/tones are pretty good, though. http://i.imgur.com/grIaKOZ.jpg :no_mouth: Not sure how that came out of me. Restarted it once about twenty seconds after I got the hang of the hook, but other than that this was a completely blind sightread. This is definitely harder than Cholly, too... just plays to my strengths, I guess. Enjoyable song choice, super funky and really fun rhythms. I'll tune down for Testament later.
  8. http://i.imgur.com/sBMtNZf.jpg I get 86-87% four more times in a row. Finally I do some extensive Riff Repeating, score 89, except oops, I got downleveled during the bloody harmonic rush!! Argh. :rage: Also I scored higher on Cholly, but I uh... forgot to screenshot it! Yeah, let's say that.
  9. http://i.imgur.com/BMIpzTM.jpg?1 I still think this isn't quite Advanced level. I haven't even touched Riff Repeater - the only form of practice I've done on it is play it a time or two a day, and I'm already in danger of classing up if I play it any more. That ain't right! I had a harder time learning Cold Hard Bitch than this.
  10. http://i.imgur.com/zJBuQ03.jpg This song is the easiest Adv Lead has seen in a long time. The swingyness might throw some people off, but not me! I can't beat my Alison Hell score no matter how hard I try, I just keep tying myself. :( I don't even know what to RR, the solo shifts are completely over my head.
  11. I was supposed to go to an art crawl tonight, but all my friends bailed one me. Guess it's time for some emo scores on all these songs I am only distantly familiar with: http://i.imgur.com/39hm6W3.jpg Oh hey, nice pun! I get it! It's like Alice in Hell only it's Alison Hell. Lol! xD I used to know this song, once, forever ago, back when I was a university freshmen. But now I am an old man, so this might as well be a sightread for me. The trickiest part is all those weird groove switches in the first few minutes, everything else is simple enough if a little speedy. http://i.imgur.com/RC0RrnO.jpg I was expecting something grittier after the last song we had out of these guys. I love big thighs too, Fishbone, but you should probably pick better wording if you ever want to get close to any!
  12. http://i.imgur.com/jXBh5OJ.jpg One more score nudge before the deadline.
  13. http://i.imgur.com/AX1I4S5.jpg Possibly the only song in my entire history of this championship where I've thought to myself, "Thank god, the solo! Now I get to relax!" This song reminds me of Hail the Sun, only with Japanese girls and less screaming.
  14. http://i.imgur.com/VyeXAjV.jpg QotSA love! Nowhere near my favourite track on this album, but still an enjoyable listen, and a really fun groove even if it's nothing too fancy. http://i.imgur.com/yK907wj.jpg A little more improvement at the other fun song before I start grinding on weird chords and arpegs in RR. :weary:
  15. I actually made it online for someone's birthday! Party hard, Noony~ Super busy week, still only played this week's songs once apiece. Time to go fix that!
  16. http://i.imgur.com/gPvitNj.jpg That... was really hard! I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't... that. Mostly I scrambled around incoherently on this, but surprisingly, I managed to get the hang of the chorus riff on the second time around. http://i.imgur.com/NjPeaok.jpg This file is so fun, Fripp. Such good tones.
  17. I started playing guitar because I am in love with the sounds that the instrument can make. I keep playing because every time I play, there's a little less resistance between my musical thoughts and what actually comes out of my hands. It's addicting.
  18. http://i.imgur.com/Yzm88Xi.jpg Man, this takes me back to the Rock Band days. Pretty fun riffs, and good tones! Next up: this Advanced band I have not heard of!
  19. Wow, I'm actually awake and alert in the wee hours! Do I try for one last stab at things? Hmmmm...
  20. http://i.imgur.com/OhP0X51.jpg Here's a +4 on this, too!
  21. http://i.imgur.com/rUfzD7P.jpg Now I have to go do it in SA. But the solo's going to fail me, I know it. :(
  22. I gave the behemoth a go. http://i.imgur.com/IW61pTC.jpg I sucked at the stupid riff and then I killed it at the solo. What a waste! I'm gonna try for at least +10% on this.
  23. I should probably get started, eh? http://i.imgur.com/M3K2YxW.jpg Learned this forever ago, but just kind of putzed the solo back then. Very tricky for an Intermediate player, with all of those fast bends and fret muting and ahhh! I think I might be able to do it if I try. http://i.imgur.com/NzSgp8s.jpg Super familiar with the song but first time seeing it from behind the guitar instead of behind the kit. I'd jam this on the drums with my brother a lot, now I get to learn it on guitar! That solo's hard but the rest is pretty simple.
  24. Oh, and the score for people who care about that sort of thing: http://i.imgur.com/kTG4SS4.jpg?1 I'll play songs actually from this week sometime tonight, maybe.
