None. :( My parents told me upfront that as much as they'd like to, they can't afford to get me a computer. Finding myself not even knowing what to do with my spare time now. Acoustic and old 360 games can only entertain me for so long. Gonna need a new hobby to keep myself sane... :sob: It's not just you. That tone is nowhere close to what it's supposed to be.

Very sad news today: My PC, which has faithfully served me for seven years, just went kaput. :sob: :sob: :sob: Spent all day trying obscure methods of repair, but there's no getting around it: it's beyond saving. I don't have any disposable income at all, so it's going to be a verrrry long time before I'm going to be able to submit any new scores or record any new videos. :( Goodbye for now, CF! Hopefully I'll be able to make a return sooner than later.

Just not that crazy about the Metallica tune, and I love the masterclass, but I didn't put the time into this song that it needs. Absolutely killer tune, really fun to play! :D Was surprised at how decently I managed to keep my balance for all seven minutes of these rather speedy and complex riffs.

Completely agree. When it sounds right, but the game tells you it's wrong - or vice versa - you get mixed signals, and it's just confusing and annoying. I'm at the level now where if the note charting is wrong, and I'm not playing for the competition, I would much rather disregard the erroneous part of the chart and take a miss or three on my score than match the incorrect chart. Something that comes to mind immediately is the unpitched slides in Fall To Pieces that we played a few weeks back. Every time I had to end those slides on specific frets when my ears were telling me that it sounded awful just so I could max out my accuracy, ffffffff. The deadly CLDC sins. Now that my library is getting bigger, I have such a large selection of songs where I don't have to deal with any of these things that I find myself not ever playing any songs with these problems, even when I really like them. http://i.imgur.com/1FdzAvL.jpg Speaking of which, I don't have anything today besides an Int update. After playing it a few more times my ears tell me a lot of things about this are off. Not only is the beatmap off like Motive pointed out, and there's uncharted bends/prebends as Monsta pointed out, but I think a lot of the notes are just straight wrong, too. It's not the worst chart I've ever seen, but it gets pretty far off at times. Slowly making my way down to the ultra low tuning, might end up giving Locust a go tonight.

I've heard this song hundreds of times in supermarkets and department stores, it's pretty well slammed into my subconscious! After some RR, I can kill it on the squealy bends, but I can't help but drop a chord or two every time I have to fly halfway across the neck. There's no repeated parts, I'm not really working from memory. I just watch my fingers fly around, mildly pleasing sounds come out of my speakers, then at the end my score is a percent or two higher each time.

Feels too easy for Advanced, too - the La Sera song comes to mind as something that was intermediate but harder than this. Kind of easy, the only thing I really need to work on are those really quick melodic fills. Didn't groove on it, really. Surprisingly difficult for a beginner song, with some strange chord shapes when you're playing the synthy bits. @@albatross213 : You were right that I had accidentally wandered too far up in the trials. What I found out was my problem was a previous city had a new sidequest opened up to get a Lord of the Land that I had missed. That gave me another orb. Once I finished that, ate some herbs, and grinded it out a little bit, I got myself up to snuff for the Wind trial! Doesn't feel like grinding when the combat is this good, though. The water trial's design wasn't too bad, but it's pretty unforgiving. As long as you're careful, I think it's one of the more fun dungeons, though. I scored 1 higher on Nomeansno today, but I'm gonna try to go for mid 90s tomorrow. I've still got a lot of work to do on this week...

I just got to the wind shrine and for the first time in the game I'm starting to struggle with the combat. I turned it to Hard mode so probably I need to just take a break from the main quest and grind for a while.

Was like, "no way, I can definitely do this better" and RRed the hook for at 85% a few minutes. Then this came out. Slowing fast syncopated rhythms down really helps in learning them. I learned the slides halfway through this run too, definitely can do mid 90s on this.
