  1. What do you think of the ATH-MSR7NC? Their rting critical listening scores are almost the same. The MSR7NC are noise canceling. They are $299, but amazon has them on sale for $177. I wanted to stay around $150, but if these might be better, I would drop the extra dough. Audio46 has a head to head comparison write up, but it is for the non-noise canceling MSR7.
  2. The M50X Bluetooth allows for corded connections. Does this make them still a viable option? The Bluetooth aspect wouldnt be utilized for RS14.
  3. I am just getting started on Rocksmith with a bass guitar. Looking for recommendations for a set of headphones that really lets the bass guitar shine. Not some over amplified, feel in the chest, bass drum thumpers. Spending maybe an hour looking online the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x's are highly reviewed. Only cost $150. There is also a Blutooth version I could get for casual music listening. But I want something that will make the bass guitar pop on Rocksmith. Thanx
  4. Never heard of Bandhub. Looks pretty cool. Beats having to go find 3 other "guys" to jam out with.
  5. The future is mobile devices. I just saw this docking station called the DeX (???). Hooks into a monitor, uses the phone as a touch pad, and has several USB's and headphone jacks installed. I know the new phones blow my 9 year old desktop out of the water in computing power. Also, could there be a possible Android-iOS compatability in the future? Just hook the cable into the USB port, wear some headphone, and you can play on a 8"-12" screen making it ultra portable. If they do, they should upgrade to using a USB-C connector.
  6. I just tried using the CDLC Search feature to find all of the available TOOL songs. A feature I wish was available would be a difficulty score. Something like a 1-5 or 1-10 score. Either have the creators decide the difficulty of the song based on the instrument, or allow the downloaders to weigh in on how hard it was to learn. Or have a letter for the difficulty. "E"asy, "I"ntermediate, "A"dvanced, "M"astery, "G"od level It would allow beginners to avoid the difficult songs and gravitate to those easier to learn. Or people like me who want to learn a band's entire catalog eventually. Simply search "TOOL" and then click on a "difficulty" tab. And work my way from the easiest to hardest.
  7. TOOL is why I just bought a bass. Bass is why I am wait for RS14 for PC to come in. RS14 for PC is so that I can use Customsforge CDLC's. Customsforge CDLC's lets me rediscover TOOL.
  8. I have a sound bar, but no receiver. I have a Samsung smart tv. Everything hooks up to this hdmi multi port box thing. There are 5 or 6 ports on it. Nothing actually hooks into each other. Its like a central router/hub. I think its called the One Connect.
  9. I just bought a new Dean Custom Zone bass in solid electric green. I have never played bass before. So I do not know how to shop for strings. I know I want to get a set of the DR multi-color strings that match Rocksmith's color code. https://www.drstrings.com/coated-bass-neon-multi-color The options for the 4 string are the: NMCB-40 Light (40,60,80,100) NMCB-45 Medium (45, 65, 85, 105) Im not looking for which ever one plays the best and creates the best tone. But which set would register the best on Rocksmith? Thank you.
  10. If I were to buy a really cheap laptop, what would I need to be able to hook it up to a 4k tv and have it run adequately? Would Ubi's recommended, not minimum, standards be good enough?
  11. Performance results https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/14727630
  12. So doing some digging, the graphics card is an ATI Radeon 4200.
  13. Hello I was on here back in August to ask if my laptop was good enough. It isn't. Well I finally went and bought the bass that is in my avatar. Now I am asking about my desktop specs. CPU- AMD Phenom II X4 830 Processor 2.8 GHz RAM- 8 GB (7.74 usable) OS- Windows 7 Home Premium Vid Card- ATI RS880 Internal DAC (400MHz) 3064 MB total memory Circa- 2009
