I suppose that only leaves playing the Take me to church rhythm track over and over and over and over again :P I didn't even know who Taylor Swift was before this week. As long as you ignore the vocals the intro section isn't actually bad sounding. And it teaches you how to play root + octave of the third, which seems like a useful skill.

Hah well done! I feel like mastermode is plausible with Domesticated Animals, but not with take me to church. Will see if I bother to grind the 100 % after all :) Now, it's time for you to start grinding the Taylor Swift lead ;) It's not that bad.

Steam's support suggested checking out their Proton project, which is an extension to Steam for Linux. It works like Wine (because they use wine under the hood), but what ever they did to that, seems to work better than pure wine. Score attack crashing is also gone :)

That slider at the beginning is my nemesis. Takes me several attempts to get past that, and then I fail at some random stupid place at the middle. :D Good thing that the link you gave shows both pictures anyways :P

Oh I can't accept those. No -tag and you posted the same URL twice! Well done! (Damn!) At least I really enjoy the bass-line for that Queens of the stoneage song! :) Btw, are you having troubles with that slide from 1st fret to 12th at the beginning?

One more update. Apart from bends, I reckon this is a perfect run. (426 / 431 = 98.83, misses: 5) http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week265/lead/i06.png I can randomly do those bends, but I'm pretty sure only the B-string notes are supposed to be bent, even though the e-string note is also marked as bend in the game.

I haven't been able to get past the initial white screen in either of Rocksmiths since the steam update on friday. Even after making fresh installs (no CDLCs or anything). :/

@@Rodman Maztor wins :) You never saw that 100 % picture ;) And wow, more Judas Priest on a week that I have no access to a guitar due to work trip to Germany. Hoping to get my rocksmith issue fixed before the trip so I can at least get 1-2 attempts on each song :)

maybe a recent song you have downloaded?? unfortunatelly nothing so obvious :( Haven't downloaded any new songs since last saturday. And my fresh install had no custom songs at all.

Had a good run at Iron Maiden rhythm yesterday, game crashed just before score screen and then tried again. Had a rage-quit moment and now I can't get past white screen in rocksmith. Shame! I was really enjoying playing that hell-of-a-song! I've spent over 8 hours (updating, reinstalling, hitting my head against the wall) so far trying to get it to work again, but nothing helps. I hope this is not the end of my rocksmith career :(

Luckily it was close enough to rhythm to get decent performance. Sat down for a bit and practiced it in riff repeater. First run is a riff-repeater run, so doesn't count, but shows roughly how much potential I have. Alright, I was initially doing the second chord the same way as you do it, but I had to teach myself to take the first chord in such way that the third finger is on G and fourth is on D (same order as in the other chord). And I moved between those two chords with a small slide/wrist tilt. Kind of what you do in the lead version. That barre shape works the best for me. Fast to get and much more reliable. I can also play that whole C+C# note picking phrase with the barre shape already established and just moving the whole shape between frets. Any idea which three misses you have in yours?

I started strumming D string instead of G string after the last E8-E9 fret picking part... Other than that, perfect. I learnt to "cheat" the first strums C/#7 when moving there from another location. I'm making the same shape as the other chord (first finger barre, with second finger on E string and third finger on D string) and then just strum the first three strings. Other places I play it "safe" and do the actual chord shape (second finger E, first finger A, third finger D, fourth finger G). http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week263/rhythm/i08.png How do you do your chord shapes there @@Hughmonty?
