  1. This post goes to all of you who had the amazing gesture of giving me a real bass. You all should have seen my face when the mail delivery lady rang on my doorbell at 9:30am with that huge box from thomann, which I know very well, since I order all my gear from them, although it has been a while since I ordered anything, so I was totally confused. http://s6.postimg.org/8lcljp5u9/Harley_Benton_B_250_001.jpg So, I opened the package, and... http://s6.postimg.org/om56wo3pt/Harley_Benton_B_250_003.jpg http://s6.postimg.org/e0lbknxe9/Harley_Benton_B_250_004.jpg O. M. G., a real bass.... I didn't knew what was going on, I only knew I was SO F******* HAPPY, I looked like my son opening his presents on his birthday or X-mas. After calming down, I went to my room, grabbed the spare guitar stand that I have and... http://s6.postimg.org/wu74hnvm9/Harley_Benton_B_250_006.jpg I just sat in my room looking at it, until my brain unfroze and I thought, "Holy Crap, I can play with a real bass" I had to try my first song on a real bass with a song that I simply love and I'm currently working on it, it's not been posted yet cause I still need to make some changes in the lead and rhythm arrangements, but the bass is pretty much done, so I plugged the bass, launched RS, selected the bass path, went to learn a song, and this is what happened... http://youtu.be/FSWcrG7ZyLc A HUGE THANKS to all that made this possible, I usually know what to say, but this is one of those rare moments that I don't have words to describe how happy I am.
  2. I'll try, but I was surprised with the last score myself... let's see if I can pull off some extra .xx% :)

  4. LMAO  It's been so long since I've watched Ep. IV, V and VI, that I almost forgot about that scene from the movie.... too funny.
  5. That's a custom inlay, but it has some errors on some frets, although I've been using this and the guitar inlay for so long that I don't even notice the errors anymore. In the meantime I asked the creator of the inlays if he could correct the errors, he told me that he was very busy, but he would try to do it as soon as possible. If you want to use the ones I have, here's the link for the bass inlay and this one for the guitar inlay Those are .psarc files, you just copy them to the "dlc" folder of RS2014 (I have a subfolder called "inlays", but that's just to keep the files organized), run the game, go to the path screen, select to change the inlay and it should be the 1st in the list "1-Bass Notes"... I created the inlays with the prefix "1-" so it would be much easier to change between the bass and guitar inlays, this way both are the 1st inlays shown on the inlay list screen.
  6. Well, I've seen some members posting videos of their playthrough's and since I'm recording all the time that I play, despite that I play emulated, here's the link of the video I recorded yesterday of my run on Skyclad... http://youtu.be/De4JRws4cEM
  7. Sorry @@Mortalo, I didn't notice the date on your profile, my bad.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
  8. I will work on that! Try to repack it with the toolkit, if the problem still there, i will redo the bass arrangement I can't tell if anyone else has the same issue, or just me. Nooney said so earlier, but I thought maybe a redownload fixed hers? Anyway, my couple of repack tries didn't work. --EDIT-- I see that Kaijin has posted a score on it, so it must be working for some. Although maybe he ran through DD remover. I'll try that. The runs I did on "Drink" were on Saturday, I haven't tried the new file yet, so I don't know if the same happens with me too. It's difficult for me to tune my guitar so low for a number of reasons, I was pretty satisfied to be able to do that when I played all 3 arrangements of the song (on the new file I think rhythm is gone, right?), but I'll try again tonight just for the bass and I'll see what happens. I have the new file and the one you posted after removing the DD, I'll post what happens after I tested both.
  9. 1st SA runs... 10. Well, on the 1st day of each week, if I have time, I play all arrangements from all songs. (I hope you guys don't mind the "avalanche" of screenshots). Now, this week when I saw the tuning of "Drink", I thought I wasn't gonna be able to play... let me explain... since I started playing guitar 2 years ago, I always used .009's and never tried any other gauge, so when I had to tune lower than D standard, I couldn't get recognition in the game at all, it was pointless to try to play. A couple of weeks ago, several people were telling me that I would be able to tune lower if I changed the gauge, the ideal would be .011's, but with .010's I would already notice some difference. So, I got a set of .010's and installed it about 1 month ago, but I never had to tune lower than Drop D since I installed the new set. So, while playing tonight, after finishing the other 3 songs, I went to play "Drink", tuned to C Standard and to my total amazement almost everything that I played correctly was recognized (in the past when I tried to play songs with C Standard tuning I would only see "MISS", "MISS", "MISS" despite that I was playing the notes correctly... this happened much more with chords, power chords or even double stops than with just single notes, those were recognized most of the time). So, looks like the advices I got were accurate, indeed I was able to play all 3 arrangements and I enjoyed to play them a lot, the strings didn't felt like "spaghetti", which was what happened with the .009's and it was terrible to play that way. As usual, almost all songs were totally unknown to me, except the MC song, which I already had for quite some time on the HDD, but I only had tried the bass arrangement once, but I enjoyed a lot playing all of them.... one of the main reasons I like the championship so much.... I get to play songs that I would never play if I didn't participate. :) Enough of rumbling, here are the 1st runs... 11. @ Your welcome, I've been removing DD from customs for more than 6 months, I'm very used to it and the process is extremely easy and fast with the toolkit, I do it every week (on another championship) and all files always worked fine, but if you find any problem, please let me know. @@Mortalo I never noticed that, but I rarely play a song with DD, I immediately remove it when I download the file, so I might not ever noticed anything related to the scroll speed because I only play the NDD versions. As far as the chart, I've never experienced "missing" notes or any other type of problem. Feel free to download the files I posted or even future ones and if you find that or any other issue, please let me know, so I can try to figure out what might be causing it. There's also the "method" I use to remove DD. I always do the same, unless there's some exception error. I import the .psarc file in the toolkit without the package structured. I then drag the .xml files in the /songs/arr/ folder into the DDC tab of the toolkit. I use the "ramp-up model" "ddc_dd_remover" and the "config file" "ddc_default" with the "phrase length" set to 40. I then switch back to the "creator" tab, double click each arrangement, browse for the file generated by DDC, add the "NDD" letters in the end of the song title and I generate the package. This takes me about 30s-1min to do. I'm not a developer or do I possess knowledge about writing code, but I've followed the development of the toolkit and EoF since the release of RS2014, so I've seen many bugs and issues being solved, plus I do have knowledge on how to "read" the code generated by EoF in the .xml files and also the structure of any .psarc file, so most of the times I'm able to solve any issue that might appear. Thanks.

  13. Hey guys, I forgot to ask something last week. I don't like to play customs with DD, in fact it's "difficult" for me to play them, so since most of the customs have DD created by DDC, when I get 1, I always remove the DD with the toolkit and add to the end of the song title "NDD". I do this for the reason I stated above and also to be able to play SA in any difficulty level, cause some arrangements I can't play in SA Hard despite the fact of getting scores ~85%. If there's a problem with that, I'll play the "original" files, no problem. I just want to guarantee that I don't change anything in the file except removing the DD and if there are members that prefer the "NDD Version" I make, if the organizers want, I can post links to the files, just let me know. Thanks
