  1. ok guys, nothing against you I know it's about frequencies and all the universe is ruled by that, but, please dont turn the debate into the mystical cosmic please :) .... if you like mystical , read this about this subject but personaly, i m very skeptic about that... so can we focus on music and the tuning of our poor little instruments.... Someone say it sound warmer, not very "objective" point of view to me but why not.... For myself , I have tuned my acoustic guitar in 432Hz, and start to play with since last days... Nothing happend for the moment around me but I promise to tell you if my hair grow faster or if i become less moody ;) ....
  2. If you google "432hz" you will be surprised to find interesting stuff bout the standard instrument tuning A=440Hz and why lot of people think 432hz should be better for lot of reason, from mathematical waves point of view to very mystical point of view .... makes plants growing faster, (?) and some even think it will save the human race from a very dark conspiracy (really ???) , that's why i was just wondering if it's a hoax or not ?? I found there are lot of songs retuned in 432hz over youtube, and there are app to play all your mp3 discography in 432hz..( by real time pitching from 440 to 432 ) But is there popular guitarist or band playing originally in 432hz ?? Do you know popular songs which were recorded in 432hz ? Was wondering bout the only one i know which is near to 432hz, Radiohead - No Surprises, recently post here, Anybody here have tried to tune in A 432 hz ? what experience did you get ? really feel better than 440 hz ??
  3. maybe you should read some post before , discuss here : and may the force be with you
  4. @@Jansku79 : Did u try to play another song just after your test ? And did you get the tone of the next song after that ? cause that is the problem we are talking here... @@MVega, you re right. We talked about RS toolkit solution to solve the problem here . Maybe there will be a new version soon implementing a correct default tone to avoid the problem.
  5. if you're a charter, i would say, take one of yours and remove the guitar tone with the toolkit and try. i dont want to blame one more than the other.
  6. thanx dude, but i technically solved the problem before submitting this post. I was not asking a solution, just to say "enough" to people who sent CDLC without any tone at all, that make RS crashes. you re a charter ? did you submit song without any sound at all ??? sure not. I know that adding a tone with RS toolkit is simple and it's a 10 second task to do. 1 - Just think to all people who are just playing songs here, and dont have or know the RS toolkit to do the job by themself. 2 - If 100 people dowload a CDLC without a tone, you think 100 people have to finish the work themself ? to Mvega : When a CLDC has no sound at all, no more sound is working after that, even your preset made by the tone designer. you have to restart RS.
  7. as there are lead and rhythm arrangement part, why not using lead and rythm preset as default ? is it too complicated ??
  8. and lot of people posted songs with "YES" using a predefined one from another song ;)
  9. Of course, it's about the tablature way of charting. I think it depends if you imagine looking through the neck, or above the neck of your guitar. Lot of guitarist are looking to their neck when playing, it's even a challenge to learn to not look at it after years of playing. But now, it becomes hard with RS to look at the neck and the screen at the same time :) Make lot of guitarist to progress to avoid looking the neck. So the new generation of guitarist who will learn guitar with RS will not have this problem, but maybe the problem to play a song without having a screen in front of their eyes. I would love to see futur band playing guitar with hiden screen in front, like some old singer now have lyrics in a hidden screen at their feet on stage :)
  10. So there is one. This post talk about CDLC that have no custom tone, it means "NO" sound affected to the guitar part. That 's why it 's not "acceptable" to post CDLC without any tone, as you can pick one of those from Ubisoft if you cannot create one.
  11. not really crash the game, but no more guitar sound of any other song work after that, so you have to restart RS. for me, same consequence as a crash.
  12. you read my mind :), was just thinking to ask to RS Toolkit develloper this idea.
  13. Hi, is it possible to add a BIG RED WARNING message next to the custom tone dropbox saying: "Selecting NO makes RS sound crashes when playing your CDLC and everyone has to restart RS after. But no matter cause it sounds you dont have checked and tested your song before on your RS, in case you too had to restart RS after. So, do u really want to post this song with no custom tone, or maybe, you prefer ask someone in the Workshop section to help you to add a default one" Ok, not so funny but, how could it be possible to avoid such thing to be done on this forum ? Or maybe, should the RS toolkit put a default "not crashing" clean tone, when no custom tone are present on a guitar part when generating CDLC files ? PS: Adding Custom Tone column filter to the CDLC Search would be great if there are still CDLC posted with NO custom tone value Thanx.
  14. To actual and futur contributors and CDLC makers : All is in the title. "Das ist verbotten !" ;), or put them in the Workshop and ask someone to help to put a default tone. To mod & admin : Why are those CDLC in the Submitted section and not in the Workshop ? Could it be possible to put a BIG-RED message when a songs is posted with no custom tone that it will make the game unplayable and everyone has to restart RS again to not play your song again ! Or redirect them to the workshop section. Cause everyone knows what goes after such a song is dowloaded and played, all people go back to the forum to say the same thing to the guys, "hey dude, your song has no tone, .... blablablabla , have to restart RS." Someone smart would say : " So why do you download the songs if "custom tone : No" is indicated. I would answer, "Why is this song in the Submitted Section if testing this songs will "crashes" RS ??" Sorry but was a little bit angry this morning about a massive list of good songs posted yesterday with no custom tone.
  15. hard to play the main riff without a whammy pedal.
  16. Sorry for this post, but just for fun My vote for : The Romantics - talking in yours sleep. Great songs but, 80's hair cut band are the best... :)
  17. My guitar wants to kill your mama !

  18. That's why there is a debate. I dont want to force anyone to do the contrary of what he wants. But the question is : " do those people really choose this option ?, or do they know it was possible to change this option ?" You should probably make a vote and ask to the CDLC community what they want ? @Magna Charter : "Do the official DLC in Eb change the chord names?" I will check that, but if it's no, i dont think If rocksmith is doing something wrong, that shoud be a good reason to do the same mistake. Maybe there are oldschool people like me, playing for guitar for 25 years who learn with song book and chord naming convention and people who learn guitar with rocksmith. If it's a choice of the rocksmith player community to do the contrary of the naming convention. That's life... One sure thing, i will change the chords name by myself as i'm doing it too much those last time :)
  19. One sure thing, no one use your both solution here :) Got lot of Eb tuning CDLC, and no one even tried to change the chords name before posting. They dont know howto, they dont care.... they got perfect pitch earing :) sorry, for this sarcastic point.... @@raynebc : Of course, it's musically inaccurate. I agree with you but we re not talking bout solfege here. and we re not playing piano or saxophone. The debate is about why naming a chord on a charted tab ? to tell what note it sound ? of course not But to help the guitarist. Just to tell you what standard position of hand and fret you have to use ? It's just a reminder for your hand position as every guitarist learn the position from standard E tuning. If you want to help a guitarist to play a song by naming chords, better not naming a chord than putting all this # and b implied by Eb tuning on CDLC. Worse, all this confusion when reading a B or E which are in fact a C or F position. Lot of CDLC are made from original song book tablature version of the song, which respect a chord naming convention. Even Guitar Pro tablature community respect this convention. Old debate years ago restarting with EOF and Rocksmith now. So if its technically possible in EOF, and so simple to do, why not respecting this convention ? I mean, chords name should end in Rocksmith like it is from original transcription. Last thing, maybe a "How to" in the tutorial section should be great to help CDLC maker with your solution.
  20. Can someone tell me how many official guitar song book of Eb tuning songs are naming the chords 1/2 step down ??? There a convention to name the chords to the relative position it has in standard tuning. So why not doing the same with EOF and CDLC ??? When songs are Eb tuning, is there a reason to name the chords in b or # ? For ex : E chords position ( 079997 ) must be name E chords even if it s sound Eb or D#. And it should be the same with capo song ! If you put a 3rd fret Capo, ( 022000 ) Chords should be named Em and not Gm.
  21. When importing DLC with non standard A440 tuning, the tuning pitch is not correct in the arrangement window, and says frequency = 440 ( should be 447 for example )
  22. Great, it's working ! just converted my first Eb tuning official DLC to E tuning. Thx for help.
  23. Yes, i take last build of 2.5.0 version. Just took the last one ( bae6ba2254ec ) to try again and , now got an error window instead of a crash. that's better cause i got a log file with the error, but there is still something wrong with official DLC importing process. Tried with 1979_p.psarc for example. After the crash, the 1979 folder created with all but the arr folder contain only showlight file. As it was for the 2.4.1 version, but XML generation was not implemented. Seems that the arrangement XML are not created from SNG files. but maybe the convert process is not implemented in the import function. Just one question, did you upgrade the "import package" in the 2.5.0 function to make it work with official DLC too, or am i doing something that not possible for the moment.
  24. Yes. What i need is to use "import package" with official DLC .psarc, and it crashes the toolkit with all version. What for ? just want to retune audio file 1/2 tone up for Eb tuning songs. to make them E tuning. First, it works great for CDLC. And i m using it since the 2.4.1 version. Cause in the process, i need to modify XML arr files to make the tuning value correct. (Changing the value with dropdown list in the toolkit is not enough.) As Xml file doesnt exist in official DLC, it was impossible to do it with the 2.4.1 version. But with the 2.5.0, why is the import of Official DLC still crashing ?? What are missing in official DLC psarc file that make it crash ? Do i have to unpack first, convert SNG file to XML and recreate a new package back ??
  25. Hi, Is it now possible to import official DLC .psarc files or some functionnalities are missing ? 2.4.1 version, XML generation was missing, but now it's done with the 2.5.0 ?
