I have realised what my hand position problem was. Somehow I'd adopted a really horrible habit of resting the tip of my thumb on the pickup when I usually anchor it with the pad of my thumb... thus adding that extra inch inadvertently and having less surface area to grip without slipping off. Played a bunch of songs again that I'd DL'd and red X'd 6 months ago with some pretty good results (pretty pleased with this one http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=731456551 it's really good fun :) and was my first play through since I was messing it up ages ago... huzzaah for the thumb fix and the evident improvement.) Played through Transylvania again. REALLY Enjoying that track, for some reason I didn't even notice the purple arpeggio bits and despite having a shittier score I did actually play it much better than my first run (if that makes sense) My bad, arpeggio complaint was about the RHCP's... I got confused from the giddyness. MC? (I think... is it?... So bugger all got done last week, 2 birthdays, work, school sports day, party, breaking up for the summer holidays and another party today, Madonna had made me truly blue because my first attempt was my best score and I just can't seem to get my plucking hand working properly... either my thumb's grown and inch or my plucking fingers have shrunk and for some reason my hand keeps falling off my rest spot (wish I could float pluck like Victor W :( .) Anyhoo, some score's minus RHCP because I can't figure out what's going on with the chords even when I pause the screen in RR... there is a pale purple hue around the notes it's really off putting and I can't figure out if the bracketed notes are the same fret or open string, mostly that purple hue is really messing with my rubbish eyes... I've not seen the purpley colour before in-game, does it mean something? Am I ill? Definitely don't have the custom elsewhere... I have the original cassette somewhere but nope, not the CDLC. I've tried renaming, unpacking/repacking to no avail. Lamb of God was exactly the same and again, didn't have multiple DL's of that either. :(

Still no joy with the Madonna track :( Similar issue as I had with Lamb of God CDLC. No note highway, naffink! Just empty basement with amplifiers crying soundwave tears of silent sadness. Tried Fripple's unpack/repack method and that doesn't seem to work either. back to some Rush and Coheed I reck', this week :)

As much as I love the very cute Vulfpeck track, I have succumbed to the plight of little time and hectic week. Too much to complete remains incomplete before deadlines, work, school fayres, school reports (My kids are fecking awesome) my better halfs' birthday (Today! Wish him a happy birthday! He's younger than me by 15 whole months so that's a bonus :) .) and lastly... I'm just not quite in Vulfpeck's league for shifting that quick without committing the song to memory... which brings me back to original plight of not enough time in the frickin' day. Have not really been playing any of the champ songs this week, when I've had time I've just been playinga bunch of songs from about a year ago that I couldn't play to see how far I've come, pretty much nailing a lot of them, bested my high score on Mother may I and a few others... I highly recommend going back to old songs you struggled with a year ago as it really boosted my morale to try Billy again, I played through it once more today at 80% speed to remind myself of the tune then busted out SA hard. P.S. Don't do weights before playing this song, that adds a somewhat extra painful dimension of hurt to the experience. No advanced score canne be arse with that song... I appreciate it's a cute band but that's a particularly annoying track. :)

STP: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=707532881 Pretty good fun is the STP track, don't really know how to rate it as I was shit the first play round then I kinda tripled my score the second time round and it sounded a little less like hitting my strings with a big foam hand. I am able to play the MC... sort of. I underestimated how difficult it was by only RRing the first 3rd of the song and thinking "Y'I've got this dowwwn!" before getting to midway in score attack and it all went Pete Tong... "Bottom E string joining in?! There was no hint of this occurring!?" So I need to practice more on that. It's an amazing song though :)
