The good news is that my first batch of songs is very nearly done, there are only three things that need to be done. The other two I'll post in the EoF section, since they're more related to things that need to be done in EoF. The third is about tones: even though I think the tones are accurate enough, I can't seem to get them to be loud enough. I tried playing with the volume settings in RST and for some reason that made the lead tone loud, but not the distortion. Any ideas?

So, currently I've got a whole library of partially complete songs, one of them is "Break Free" by "Satan". In the tab there's a bit in the solo which sounds like tapping, however, inspection of some live footage shows that it isn't strictly speaking tapping. What he's actually doing is reaching over and fretting the guitar with his picking hand and then reaching under and performing some pull offs with his fretting hand (3:06) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON498dgP0c8 Anyone have an idea as to how I should notate this in the game? Do I mark it as tapping or as legato? I'm just concerned that if people play it they're going to be a bit stumped by how to play it

Probably a stupid question with an obvious answer, but how do you remove sections and handshapes. I'm very nearly done with my first set of songs, but in adding a handshape to polish up the CDLC it now crosses over into a different section which is causing EoF to complain. I've tried looking around for an option to remove handshapes and sections but with no luck.

Thanks for that, could I also use tech notes to notate pull offs within chords? There's a song I'm doing which has a B power chord on the second fret of the A string, which pulls off to an open A. Also what about slides without a proper end position? There's quite a few songs I know where there is a slide that doesn't really end on a specific note, it's just there as a sound effect, could I use tech notes there?

Does anyone know how to notate pre-bends in Editor on Fire? I can see notation for bends, but not pre-bends

Hi, first let me thank the various members here for all their helpful advice. The good news is that I've managed to complete two working songs (with a third in the works), which still need some minor editing and better tones. Here's a couple of things that I wanted to ask relating to polishing up DLC, the first relates to Fret-Hand positions. I know you can place FHPs in order to make the DLC look better, however is it possible to place FHP in just one part or certain parts of a track? A lot of the times the auto position does the job, however if I place even one FHP then I need to place them throughout the entire track, which is tedious. The second relates to dynamic difficulty, specifically, difficulty increments. I'm currently working on a track that has some monstrously difficult guitar solos in it and I'd like the DD to increase in smaller increments (single digits at a time). Is there a way to do this? I know there was a page called polishing up CDLC, or something similar, that might cover some of these topics, but after stumbling on it I've been unable to find it. Does anyone know where this page is?

So, I've been tirelessly trying to create DLC, I'm at the point where you are supposed to use the toolkit to generate the songs, however every time I do it says that I have no compatible version of WWise installed, but the version that I have installed and the one that I used to generate the .wem file is version 2016.2.6, which is listed as one of the versions compatible with the toolkit, so why is it telling me this? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks for your response earlier. It's really weird, I just now tried loading my computer up to try what you said, but now something different happens. First I get the standard message from windows which says do you want this program from an unknown publisher to make changes to your computer and when I say yes EoF opens but with the message "Could not load all images! Failed on 76" when I click the OK button it just closes the whole program :huh:

I've been trying to open EoF, but it keeps saying "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item". I've installed EoF as per the instructions and I've installed the latest hotfix, but to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?

So I currently have a minor problem with the CDLC. Everytime I play a song at max difficulty it always gives me 100%, so I can't track my progress too well. Also whenever I play any song on any difficult the play count always remains at zero. Is there a way to fix this, or is it an inherent property of the DLC?
