  1. @ Razrshred You got the best score in the masterclass on bass. Do you take the win and level up to masterclass?
  2. I think it's going to be a great week! All good charts and songs to play. A cross section of different genres and styles. A few notes: I haven't fully tested masterclass and GoG songs on guitar paths. However, I looked at each chart visually, so it's ok. When it comes to GoG and GoR, I can't determine if this is 10, because it's too difficult for me anyway, so I trust @ nlbsmglsk diff rating. The bass path in RHChP song is quite difficult for an intermediate level (could also play as easy advanced), but this is a good chart and suited for week selection. Wobbler song is a 20-minute composition! This is not technically 10, but the length means this can only be used as a GoB.
  3. This week is over, thanks for competing! It was really good competition! New championship week started here:

  5. Congratulations on beating @ Bottledpat12 boss!
  6. Last improvement before new week incoming.
  7. New championship week will start in about 1.5 to 2 hours!
  8. Bass improvements: @ Razrshred I think, you are close to leveling up to a masterclass on bass.
  9. Nice, but we played Lovers In The Rain last week.
  10. You really came close to being a leader in the Lead path this week. Try to do it!
  11. Improvements: I tried B-Std version and recognition was surprisingly good even though the strings were loose.
  12. Yes, Testament is not a good example. I was more referring to songs by bands like Gojira and some others played recently in the championship, but I can't name them from memory. I don't know if it can be classified as thrash? I haven't refreshed their discography in a long time. But from memory, old songs - Stalingrad (we used to play in the championship), Rise of Evil, Wolfpack, Primo Victoria, the album The Art of War (for the overall thematic composition), from newer albums - Carolux Rex, Bismarck, and Fields of Verdun. But some of these songs are not very popular (I look at the number of plays on spotify), so my personal tastes play a big role here. In overall, fast, energetic power metal songs are the most popular. Stalingrad we played in week 373. I recommend you to try and face with the scores from the past, because in my opinion level of competition was very high then!
  13. I don't understand it a little, because in my opinion some of the song suggestions you added to the selection sheet are songs that are not very complicated in terms of instrumental and chart. Of course, I'm not talking about progressive styles here, but, for example, thrash songs are generally not extensive in composition and are based mainly on the speed of riffs. And Sabaton songs can be different, I think that the older releases are more interesting when it comes to the chart, the new ones are more based on energy and speed.
  14. Some lead improvements. Because it's always good to see 100% on guitar, even when the song is easy.
  15. It depends on you. It's possible that your skills are between intermediate and advanced, so it may be too easy or too hard for you to fight for a win. If you want, you can go back to intermediate for now to find out.
  16. Congrats! ---------------------- Rhythm scores:
  17. @ lowender Yes, I realize that. The correct bass tuning is B-Std (this was also noted in the comments on the CDLC site). Unfortunately this tuning is bad playable for me, so for better recognition I prefer to play E-Std. However, I tried converting bass path to B-Std. So test it, should sound right. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NRTxIBtppYeRGGMGpTrlYJTe5wpwIh85?usp=sharing
  18. Lead scores for testing/old attempts. A nice song from the album with the tiger. I only knew the main song on this album. Surprisingly fun song to play. I like this more than previous songs of the band that we played in the championship. I have played this and many other Sabaton songs many times over the years. This is a screenshot from an old attempt, I'll try to improve it. I have to admit that I like the older Sabaton songs more, like this one, in terms of the instrumental/note chart. @ avastreg There used to be quite a lot of Sabaton songs in the championships (I think there were even 2 full albums in 4-week GoG/GoB). And since their songs haven't appeared here for a long time, I decided that it's worth coming back to it.

  21. New championship week will start in between an hour and two!
  22. A little better with the pick, but the recognition problems are still there.
  23. Bass I agree with @ jellisjenius . I have bad recognition here (similar to guitar paths). Generally this CDLC is not of the highest quality, although the chart is nice. I played with my fingers, I'll try it with a pick and see if it improves recognition, but I doubt it. Wtf the end part... Very difficult for me. I have a problem with such charts, because my hand is starting to hurt from constantly moving my fingers.
