Hmmm...not sure the two beginner songs can really be the same difficulty rating. I'd say The Cult is more like a 1 and Lindemann is possibly a 3. Someone just posted in the official borked cdlc discussion thread that they tried playing offline with their router off and it worked fine. So as far as the championship is concerned, if this does work for everyone it's a work around to keep it going.

Hi, not sure if this is covered already somewhere, but I couldn't find it with the search terms I used... I'm finding I can't stop track previews on ignition. The pause button does nothing, I either have to wait till the song has finished to play another one, or refresh the page every time. If it's relevant I'm using Chrome. Thanks! Edit: when I say the pause button does nothing, what I should have said was it doesn't stop the track, but it opens up the track info window instead.

Are you working too hard? By "too hard", I mean fretting and plucking with the iron-fisted-white-knuckle-grip-of-death. You only need to fret hard enough to make the note sound clean. Fretting too hard will only pull the notes sharp and waste energy. Plucking too hard will only increase fret buzz. Work on using a lighter touch and not only can you play longer before getting tired, but you will be able to improve your speed and tone too. If you want to be louder, you can just turn up the volume without actually working any harder. Thanks @@2groggy. I don't believe I'm working too hard, I can play for long periods now without feeling tired. What I do have a big problem with is having very small hands and trying to span 4 frets on a bass. I can only JUST reach that 4th fret with my pinky and I feeeeel it! I'm stretching before playing and regularly throughout the day, but nothing's going to magically grow me bigger appendages, no matter what those emails said. :lol: So I've been adapting how I play and it's probably very far from the ideal technique. Had been considering getting a tutor for a while to correct my rookie techniques early on, I think that's going to be a certainty now.

After ignoring wrist pain for several days and continuing to play I'm now sitting in considerable pain after playing earlier today. It's going to kill me to rest it, but for it to be hurting now while not even doing anything....I get the message, body, gahhh! :(

It's the "Baaaaaad performance" on sight playing a song beyond your level for the first time that gets me! :D Like no sh....good job on the encouragement! :rolleyes:

So...am I understanding the rules correctly? Does me getting 99.5% automatically move me up to INT class next week?
