No sight-reads from me this week, since I had to test all the songs. All I've got is this: but it ain't my final word. EDIT: I think the stretches in this song tie in nicely with the pinky finger discussion from last week.

It's much harder than it looks on first glance. I'd give it a 9.

What happened? Is this a playing related injury, or where you in a car crash or something? Hope you get well soon. As for the pinky discussion, here's my 3 cents: 1. Playing bass really helps build up strength if you don't overdo it. Esp. for the pinky since it's harder to avoid using it. 2. Lighter string gauges are just better in every way. 3. When bending always use other fingers to support. I actually have an opposite problem. When playing high up the neck where the frets are close together I have to consciously remember not to use the pinky, just because my fingers get too close to each other sometimes.

I didn't check, but parts of the solo sound the same as the solo from "Jessica" by the same band. Like note for note. I'm not at my best today.

It IS fair imo. Anybody can, and definitely should, add songs to the selection list. So in the long term everybody has equal opportunity.

DISCLAIMER: I listened to this record a lot and I know the song structure. So, while it is my first time playing it, it's not really a "sight read".

It's gonna take some repeats to get this to 100.

BASS I got messed up by the slides. Looks like I'm finally gonna have to use a pick. I agree on Mikson's diff ratings, except on the Allman Brothers song, which I'd rate an 8.

I fear that someone's gonna come in tomorrow in the last minute and take my win away.

My original plan was to get this to 100%, but I lost 2 days this week, so I don't know if there's enough time left. We'll see, it mostly depends on how stiff the competition in other paths will be.

I feel like I can get a bit higher on the score, but this will do for now.
