personally dont think its a fair equivalent. i'm sure plenty of us have RR'd to 100% on most/all the sections individually while practicing, just not all in one long session.
isnt the moving around the neck on the fly consistently also part of the challenge?

like, you're playing a song live as a performance piece - you played the intro... and stopped, and said hang on audience, i want to get this next part perfect, just wait for me to get set up again for the verse position... ok and go... ok stop, chorus, let me get ready.... etc.

i guess that is exactly what they do with recording though tbf... hmmm, im torn now.....
i know im more the 'F it, we'll do it live' mentality (having very very rarely performed live myself ), but have you ever heard a record that sounded amazing, gone to see the band... and... errrr hmmmm

surely you can set a 1 and done score of equivalent value now uv practiced it that well?
just think it'd set a bad precedent of who can practice longest/hardest in one singular session on a technicality, which a lot of people cant do, as opposed to amount of general practice overall, which is more reasonable.

had my mate try out some rocksmith multiplayer sessions recently, so much fun he bought the game and i've donated him my bass,
was only just recommending him to get all the ventures songs.
also told him i missed me some steel-sharpens-steel competition action too, that maybe we should both join in?
log on to find its a nach week and now a ventures tribute - that's all the signs i need.

ShankD won intermediate and bonus intermediate bass. Diceslinger won in advanced bass class.

This week's songs have no difficulty ratings on a scale of 1-10? We always do it, because according to this, promotions to higher classes are awarded and the player's progress is calculated. If you have a problem with the rating, I will try to help, I think others will also help

sorry did ratings in my head, few songs not in the championship before.

guitar plays so bad it can take a few % off randomly depending on tuning/intonation stuff, makes it bit harder to judge properly, so kinda going more on the sight of the tab than scores, that's where it may be a bit off, but hoping it's close enough.

U2 is probs 3 max for all, barely moves around from the same basic movements, faster rhythm bit for the break is all.
Beach Boys rhythm/bass are the same, it dances across the strings a bit but in the same area so not too hard 3/6ish? i find this level the toughest to gauge right tbh. whereas lead might be a bit tough for inter, chords maybe tricky and the kinda random solo too, but commit. 4-6ish?
Foo's  kinda like BB ratings but slightly harder, rhythm/bass same kinda dancing about movements but tempo notched up a bit, 5-7?, lead 6-7?,
Thin Lizzy lead maybe 7-9, for the outro solo? rhythm/bass 7/8?
Jeff Loomis - lead is like 11+ good luck super shredders, the other parts not tooooo hard, but it is god so no ez 100's. seemed super fun to me, just had to play with a slightly lighter touch being so low

if you find it too easy, try singing along
if you find it too hard, practice more!

oof, is that MC that easy for you... and can the bass not detune that far without drop pedals? it was a bit low and dirty on the guitar emulation but seemed to play alright

if a proper bassist wants to throw out a better choice quick...

yeah, as i said wrapping up the end of last week, i'm a total bass noob so difficulties may be a bit off.

noticed my own and couple other scores were higher for GOG than than MC, np cos both solos ripped and were challenging/fun, but stepped MC down a bit and GOG up a bit to balance that. not sure if supposed to even do 2 GOG in a row...
but it's up now, so here we go
