Turn off Auto Note Names?

mrmaton

Question

Running through my first custom I found there were a lot of insignificant chords being listed on the top left of the highway..

I don't know if these were imported from the .gp5 or if it's a function of EoF to name anything with more than one note played at the same time...

Is there a way to get rid of them?

If I click on the note/chord then go to NOTE / EDIT NAME, I can rename it fine, but if I try and clear the field and press ok it gives a popup box asking the question "Apply automatically-detected chord names?" with the options "Yes/No"

If I select yes, it goes back to default name (the one I don't want to show)

If I select no, it goes back to default name (the one I don't want to show)

My chart is in Eb standard tuning, however some official TABs list the chords as if they were standard tuning.... (Easier to read/recognize while tuned down)

So I'd like to write Emaj13 where Eof is writing Gsus4/D#.......

Can I turn the auto-detect off and still enter names manually???

Thanks for any advise.....

You can't turn off the chord name lookup, it is a mandatory feature of pro guitar/bass tracks because of requirements in Rock Band 3. If you want, you can just name all notes with one space character " " and then just manually define names for chords as desired.
