It doesn't seem that hard, but I had problems with it.

 

 

It was the first time I played Callifornication on bass and I must admit this is amazing!

Would have been 99% if it wasn't for the short solo. I can hardly play these on RR, let alone sight-read

Very nicely done.  I can't believe you have it memorized so quickly!  The thing I don't like about this song (the original) is how the strumming is so dense.  Yours fixes that issue with the strumming more subdued.  It makes your playing a good canvas for the lyrics.  I'm liking the spoken work lyrics.  Not as much pressure as singing, but it provides the glue that hold a song together.

@Mikson - thx that´s really motivating! No, i won´t stop. The picture i took that week on a tobogan afternoon. I wish i´d have my real camera instead of that cellphone built-ins, but yeah - a damn beautiful view.

@diceslinger - Thx man! I think where i am really good by now is breaking down songs. The Trio+ helped me so much there, cause you simply have to do it to be able to use it. Usually (like here) i play the (C)DLC lead and rhy a few times to get a feel, the load up the chords in like ultimate guitar (ug is usually the richest source and (on their official charts) it does provide the original bpm, key and all possible chord fingerings and a strumming pattern). Then i have a playthrough on those chords on the acoustic and make a structure. My main target is to be able to play that songs from brains, so i tend to go 2 or 3 parts that can be memorized only. The above only has 3 parts with 5 (+1) chords. So i kept original whole song structure.
Then like in that case i teach the Trio+ each part and do a background rhystrumming on the Trio. When that is done i usually memorize the song and record a playthrough to the Trio+ backgroundsequence.
For the vocals - thx. Well - i always liked Oasis and kinda felt that they barely can sing... which is untrue. My talked lyrics are the result of lack of singing voice, but i try to make smthg out of it. It´s just better to listen to a song when there are in whatever form the vocals, holds a song together, yeah.

500kB is total storage space on here, not really worth using since it can only hold a few images at a time. I'd recommend using an external image hosting site like imgur or something.

Succes... using a URL from Steam, but I think I have to find an easier way to do that!

Oh, well... But try at the beginners peace. Trying the Twist and Shout, I must admit, that I am a beginner. But it could be nice to participate in the competition from now.

About the levels of the songs (from the Bass path). It's funny that both the intermediate and advanced player should have the same difficulty (7).

Also I must point out, that the Twist was complete of the bars. It was okay synced, but the notes did not (at any point) follow the small lines showing where we are on the beat. Thus making it much harder to count (and learn in slow tempo). I tried to use the R...ToTab and se the notes in MuseScore... not helping in any way.
But I was not going to learn it anyway. Way over my level...
From now, I'm in... on the beginners level. 🙂

Yeah, I read something about using Steam for that part. But it is not easy finding the right URL for pictures there. But I succeeded. Now I just have to learn an easier way of doing it... but thanks for the answer.

I'm starting to think Wonderwall was just a distraction this week to keep me from the contest songs :0 

 

Here's what I got for the week. Keep missing easy notes.. so frustrating. Oh well
