I could really use some help - my boss is a lead of a known metal band and we can not get this to work!

Question

RS audio disappears from my headphones during the loading splash screens - when I alt-tab and switch my audio to my headphones directly (instead of via my Elgato mixer) it returns. It happens at that EXACT SPOT - the little Rockstar logo - every time.

My boss is potentially having the same issue and while his is more critical than mine, if I can get mine fixed, I can hopefully get his fixed.

Full video of mine here:

Any ideas??

I know well how Rocksmith 2014 is not friendly with audio interfaces. If you can unplug that interface/mixer, I would try that first. If you can't, I would recommend trying this: right clicking the volume thing on the task bar and going to "Sounds" and not "Open Sound settings". Then click on Headphones/Speakers, how ever it comes up, and then clicking the "Set Default" button. If that doesn't work, go to every device besides your headphones in "Sounds" and open up the properties menu and at the bottom of that menu, toggle "Use this device" to "Don't use this device". I find it hard to imagine windows will switch to those devices if they are disabled, but ya never know.

When you say headphones, is it a 3.5mm connection or Bluetooth?  My pc in combination with rocksmith won’t let me Bluetooth out for some reason the 3.5mm headphone output doesn’t have a problem once I got familiar with screwing up my setting and learning
